Description
The invention relates to a convertible convertible, a storage compartment utilizing a portion of a luggage compartment, and a convertible compartment lid forming a portion of a luggage compartment, wherein the sufilette can be switched between a closing position in which it covers the passenger compartment and a storage position. in which it is inserted into the storage compartment covered by the sufilette lid as a folded package, and wherein the sufilette can also be placed in an intermediate position, in which the folded packet projects out of the storage compartment when an opening to the storage compartment is opened by moving the sufilette cover into a loading position.
A vehicle of this type is previously known from DE-C-19 960 010. In this is shown a collapsible top, in which a top section via a link parallelogram is hinged in a support bracket which can be swiveled into the vehicle. The pivot axes of the link parallelogram and the pivot brackets of the support bracket are parallel to each other. A hydraulic cylinder is hinged in the support bracket and is connected to its piston rod by one of the link arms of the link parallelogram. The support bracket can in turn be swung with the aid of a hydraulic cylinder mounted in the vehicle.
In the collapsible sufillet known by DE-C-19 960 010, it is easier to access the remaining luggage space that is not needed by the sufillet in its storage position by placing the sufillet in the form of a folded package in the intermediate position.
The design has the disadvantage that the movement mechanism of the sufillet must have a complicated structure and that the sufillet must be kept in the intermediate position of the hydraulic cylinders, which can have unpredictable consequences in the event of a failure of the hydraulic system.
The object of the invention is to further develop the known collapsible sufilette and thereby remedy the deficiencies mentioned above.
The object is fulfilled by the features of the independent claim 1. Preferred embodiments are set out in the dependent claims.
The invention is based on the prior art known in the art in that the canopy cover when the storage compartment is to be opened can be pivoted around a first pivot device and that the luggage compartment when the cargo space is opened can be pivoted around a second pivot device independently of the sublet door. The first and / or second pivot means may then be formed by, for example, a four or multi-link device.
The invention can in principle be carried out with all kinds of sufilets. Particularly, the invention is suitable together with collapsible hardtops with shape-stable roof elements, as these are bulky even after folding into a package and require a considerable volume, whereby they often make loading in the remaining available luggage space difficult.
The motion mechanics of the collapsible sufillet and the luggage cover connected to it allow the sufillet to be mounted on the convertible with a simple construction.
A preferred embodiment which further builds on the prior art known in the art consists in that the suphillette in its intermediate position can be locked against movements away from this position and / or in that the sufilette door in its loading position can be locked against movements away from this position.

By this, it is achieved that the said parts can be retained in their associated positions independently of the associated driving means. Thus, a failure of a drive means does not cause any of the parts to move, thereby causing a collision with other parts resulting in damage.
For example, a simple and inexpensive construction of the convertible can be achieved by connecting the suphillette to the vehicle via a swivel-mounted armrest swivel mechanism, the saddle cover is connected to the vehicle via a swivel-mounted armrest-mounted swivel arm mechanism, and the luggage door is hinged the canopy door pivotally suspended door link arm mechanism.
The above design makes it possible to perform the link arm mechanisms for the sufillet, sufillet cover and luggage cover so that they can be set independently of one another. Alternatively, the link arm mechanisms could also be interconnected so that their individual parts do not collide with each other.
By omitting the pivotal support bracket known from the prior art, the suphillette and the saddle cover can be easily removed by connecting a link arm swingably connected to the vehicle in the link arm mechanism of the suphillette and a link arm linked to the vehicle in the link arm mechanism for the link arm to the link arm. drive device.
A mutually independent movement of the sufillet and the sublet door can be achieved with a corresponding independent locking of the mentioned parts. Practically, for example, it may be accomplished by providing at least one locking mechanism on the sufilette and at least one locking mechanism being provided on the sublet door, preferably on their link arm mechanisms, particularly on the associated drive devices. According to a cheaper alternative, at least one locking mechanism is provided only on the sufilette or on the sublet door, for example if these parts are interconnected for joint movements.
The locking can be ensured independently of an external energy supply by the locking mechanism of the suphillet and / or the sublet door being designed as a self-locking mechanism and provided with a locking element loaded in the locking activation direction. A particularly favorable construction is thereby achieved by the locking mechanisms of the suphillette and / or the sublet door forming each of its retractable latches. Then the locking can be effected by the force of the input drive device (s).
If the locking is not to be effected by the drive for the sufillet and / or the siphon cover, the siphon system may be designed so that a release device, especially a maneuverable magnet, is provided on the locking mechanism of the sufillet and / or the siphon cover to release the lock.
An alternative possibility is that the locking mechanism for the suphillette and / or the sublet door has a locking element which can be switched between a locking position and a release position by means of a adjusting device. This makes it possible to design the locking element so that it can absorb particularly high forces, and thus even more safely prevents the sufillet and / or the top cover from making unintended movements.

Another safety aspect is to prevent squeezing, especially of body parts, for example on a person loading or leaving the left luggage compartment. A cover can be provided with mechanical cover elements for movable suspension members. Another way of protecting against squeezing is that the drive devices for the saddle and / or sublet door can drive the associated details for switching from the intermediate position or from the loading position only during a continuous operation of a control element arranged preferably in the luggage compartment.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to non-limiting embodiments shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a vehicle according to the invention with a three-part hardtop as closed subphilette, Fig. 2 the vehicle according to Fig. 1 during the folding down of the saddle, Fig. 3 the vehicle according to Fig. 1 with the cushion dropped into the storage compartment, Fig. 4 a detail enlargement of the section. Fig. IV in Fig. 3, Fig. 5 is a detail enlargement of the portion V of Fig. 3; Fig. 6 the vehicle of Fig. 3 with the boot lid opened; Fig. 7 shows the vehicle of Fig. 6 with the sufilette cover in its loading position and the suphillette in its intermediate position; Fig. 8 is an enlarged section in the form of portion VIII in Fig. 7 and Fig. 9 is an enlarged section in the form of portion IX in Fig. 7.
In Fig. 1, a whole of 10 designated vehicles according to the invention is shown in a highly schematic cross-section. The vehicle 10 has one of three parts hardtop type sufillet 12, shown in Fig. 1 in its closed position in which it extends over the passenger compartment 14. The front sufillet part 12a abuts in this position against a clock head rail 16 included in the frame of the not shown the windshield. The front sufilette part 12a is connected to the middle sufilette part 12b via a link arm mechanism 18, while to the middle sufilette part 12b is connected to the rear sufilette part 12c via a link arm mechanism 20. For ease of orientation, a seat 22 is shown in the compartment space 14. The hardtop sofa is connected a sufilette bracket 28 fixed in the vehicle by means of a first link arm 24 and a second link arm 26. The opposite ends of the link arms 24 and 26 are connected to the link arm mechanism 20.
Further, the vehicle 10 according to the invention according to one embodiment has a canopy cover 30 with a hat shelf part 32 and a luggage cover 34. The hat shelf part 32 is arranged on a carrier rack 36, in which the luggage lid 34 is pivotally suspended by means of a four-way mechanism 38, in particular so that it can be pivoted. around a substantially in the transverse axis of the vehicle.
The support frame 36 is pivotally suspended in a sublet closure bearing 44 fixed in the vehicle by means of two link arms 40 and 42.
In the sufilette, the link arm 24 is driven by a piston cylinder unit 46 connected to the sublet bracket 28 so that it can be pivoted about the point 48.
Correspondingly, the link arm 40 is driven by means of a piston-cylinder unit fixed in the sublet lid bearing 44 so that it can be pivoted about the point 52. To facilitate the orientation, the rear bumper 54 is shown.
In Fig. 2, the hardtop 12 has been converted into a folded package, in which the sufillet portions 12a,
524 909
12b and 12c to minimize space requirements have been moved to a position above each other.
The sufilette cover 30 is raised and pivoted in the direction of the rear end of the vehicle by pivoting the link arms 40 and 42, thereby opening the cover 30 an opening 56 into a storage compartment. Through the opening 56, the folded bard top 12 can be brought down into the storage compartment 58, which is part of the luggage compartment 60.
In Fig. 3, the towel 12 folded into a package is finally inserted into the storage compartment 58 with the sublet lid 30 in the closed position above.
Fig. 4 shows an enlarged section from a portion designated in Fig. 3 with IV.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the piston 62 of the piston cylinder unit 46 is provided with a rack at one end, preferably the end thereof directed at the point 48. The gear rack cooperates with a gear 64 fixedly connected to the link arm 24, which has the point 48 as the center point.
The piston 62 is provided with a spring-loaded locking member 66 which can lock into a locking recess 68. The locking recess 68 is formed inside the cylinder of the piston cylinder unit 46 near the end where the piston exits. In Fig. 4, the piston 62 is in a position retracted in the cylinder. The locking recess 68 may alternatively be provided in the suffix bracket 28. According to a further alternative, the locking element 66 may be arranged on any of the link arms 24 and 26.
In Fig. 5, an area designated in Fig. 3 with V is shown in magnification. The link arm 40 has a locking recess 70 in which a locking element 72 has been driven into engagement position by a magnet not shown when the locking recess 70 and the locking element 72 have come into position in alignment with each other.
The position of the sufilette in Fig. 6 corresponds essentially to the position shown in Fig. 3 except that the luggage cover 34 is open.
In Fig. 7, the sufillet cover 30 is in its loading position. It is thus raised in relation to the position shown in Fig. 6 and has been pivoted clockwise around a substantially transverse axis of the vehicle. The hardtop 12, which is converted into a folded package, is also raised, whereby a higher loading opening for loading in the luggage compartment 60 is available.
From the detail views in Figs. 8 and 9, it can be seen that the suffix in its intermediate position is retained by the locking element 66 locking in the locking recess 68 (Fig. 8) and that the sufilet cover 30 is retained in its loading position by the locking element 72 locking in the locking recess 70 (fig. 9).
