The present invention relates to a sealing arrangement according to the preamble of appended claim 1.
Sealing in the sense of an arrangement arranged so that a change of condition, such as opening a door, a consignment, etc., is unambiguously detectable in retrospect, is of course associated with major problems, e.g. in the form of high costs and unreliability.
The present invention relates to an arrangement which offers, at a relatively low cost, a seal with extremely high reliability and flexibility.
The invention thus relates to a sealing arrangement according to the preamble of appended claim 1. The arrangement is characterized in particular by what is specified in the characterizing part of said claim.
The invention is described in more detail below in connection with exemplary embodiments and the accompanying drawing,
Fig. 1 schematically shows a view of a door sealed according to the invention,
Fig. 2 shows the seal according to Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 schematically shows goods sealed according to the invention,
Fig. 4 schematically shows an information carrier and a reading unit and
Fig. 5 schematically shows a clock unit for recording the time of events concerning a seal according to the invention.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a door, sealed according to the invention, wherein an updatable information carrier 2 is arranged in the door frame 3 for readably registering breaking of the seal, where breaking corresponds to opening of the door 1. The information carrier is preferably of the so-called smart type. card.
5162639
4, Fig. 2, denotes a switching unit cooperating with the information carrier arranged to change state, for example breaking a circuit, when detecting the seal, for detecting the breaking. Shown is an embodiment where the switch unit is arranged to be actuated by a magnet arranged in the door, but other switch devices of a substantially known type, such as mechanical microswitches and the like, are of course conceivable.
Fig. 3 shows an embodiment where the seal refers to goods and where the breaking corresponds to the removal of the goods from a predetermined place.
7 denotes a clock unit, from which time in the form of date and time is intended to be supplied to the information carrier for registration of time for breaking and preferably, where applicable, resetting, ie. closing the door, etc., of the seal.
The information carrier 2 is intended and arranged to be read by contact or contactlessly with a reading unit 8, Fig. 4, in which registered information is readably stored, for example for further transfer to a processing unit, not shown, for evaluation.
According to a preferred embodiment, there is also an acknowledgment unit 9, shown as an alternative in Fig. 4, arranged to be used in combination with the information carrier, by means of which acknowledgment unit an identification of a person breaking the seal is intended to be transferred to the information carrier for registration. The acknowledgment unit can be combined with the reading unit in one unit.
The function of the arrangement according to the invention should be substantially apparent from the above. Breaking and preferably, where applicable, restoring the seal is thus readable with the information carrier, whereby, according to different levels
516 j639 of detection, breaking of the seal, change and time, breaking, time and identity, etc., can be registered and then read and further processed.
As will also be apparent above, the invention offers the possibility of inexpensive, flexible and reliable sealing. The applications are many. Sealing of office rooms, warehouses, storage, etc. and use in connection with surveillance are some.
The invention has been described above in connection with exemplary embodiments. Of course, more embodiments as well as minor changes and additions are conceivable without departing from the spirit of the invention.
The seal can thus be arranged hidden in a door, door frame, etc. The seal does not have to be divided between, for example, a door and a frame, as in Figs. 1 and 2, but the whole seal can be concentrated in one place, such as the frame or the like. a switch unit or equivalent.
Furthermore, additional information, such as access privileges, can be exchanged between the information carrier and the reading unit and / or the acknowledgment unit.
Breaking the seal can also give impetus to some form of alarm function.
The invention is thus not to be considered limited to the above-mentioned embodiments but can be varied within the scope specified by the appended claims.
