The present invention relates to a disk element according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention also relates to the use of the disk element as a housing in a container or in a space intended for storing theft-resistant objects and the like.
Due to, among other things, increasing crime in various contexts, there is a very great need to provide safer transport and storage of valuables and theft-desirable objects of various kinds.
As a non-limiting example of a particular problem area can be mentioned, for example, money transfers between different places. In such contexts, large and costly security measures must be taken to keep the security against attacks in the form of theft and robbery at an acceptable level. This costs a lot of money at the same time as transport becomes cumbersome and difficult to carry out.
One way of addressing the aforementioned problems is to provide, within the present transport container in the form of, for example, a bag, one or more destructive means which are activated to destroy the contents of the transport container if an unauthorized person tries to open the transport container and remove the contents from it. As the contents of the transport container are thereby destroyed and unusable in the unauthorized attempt of intrusion, the risk of crime of course is eliminated until some creative person comes up with a method to prevent the activation of the destroying agent.
As a concrete example of a transport container can be mentioned a bag in which, for example, is transported banknotes. The banknotes can thereby be rendered useless and unusable by activating color cartridges stored in the bag to discolour the banknotes in the unauthorized attempt to open the bag.
Of course, in the light of the above reasoning, it is understood the importance of providing a hard-pressed container, while at the same time dealing with a
501 674 transport containers naturally strive for the lowest possible weight on the container.
At the same time, of course, the container must be provided with a reliable alarm or security system which is located at least in some parts inside the container, this system being so constructed that it always activates the destructive agent before the safety system or destructive means is put out of operation by unauthorized intervention and stored in the container. valuables can be removed unauthorized from the container. For example, the security system must have such a short reaction time that, for example, a disarmament thereof is prevented by, for example, a so-called high-speed weapon.
A number of such security systems and destroyers have already been developed and are available in the market, so these should not be further described in this context. However, it should be mentioned that the security system can, of course, be designed so that the intruder has only a limited time at his disposal to try to force the container before the destroyer is activated despite the fact that the security system was not triggered due to an actual intrusion attempt.
The main object of the present invention is to provide a specially designed slab element which is very advantageous to use as a wall or enclosure of a security container or of a safe space. This object is achieved by having the disc elements and use having the characteristics specified in the claims.
Among the many advantages of the invention, it can be mentioned that the slab element can be made thin-walled and lightweight, which of course results in weight advantages of, for example, the transport container in which the slab element is used.
The disc element according to the invention is designed so that external disturbances in the form of, for example, magnetic fields, static electricity and the like can be handled effectively.
The disc element can be manufactured with such rigidity that a self-supporting container can be constructed of the same.
501 674
The disc element can be manufactured in desired shapes and curves, which means that even formally complicated containers can be provided by the disc element.
If, for example, it is desired to supplement an already existing building with a shell cover, this is extremely easy to achieve by means of the disc elements according to the invention. Thereby, for example, special angled corner plate elements can be prefabricated.
Embodiments of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the structure of an inventive wafer; Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the wafer; Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of how an alarm mat can be constructed; Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a transport container / safety container constructed of disc elements according to the invention, Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of an openable overlap joint between the disc elements of the container shown in Fig. 4; Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an advantageous cable insertion through an inventive disc element; Fig. 7 is a schematic perspective view illustrating a space made up of the invention. and Figure 8 is a diagrammatic cross-section through a corner portion of the space of Figure 7.
The disc element 10 comprises a first surface layer 1, an alarm mat 2 and a second surface layer 3 (see Figures 1 and 2).
The first surface layer 1 is, for example, a glass fiber mat or a textile mat, but other types of mats, tablecloths or sheets are of course possible to use. Also paint or gel pothole can be used as a surface layer 1.
The alarm mat 2 is arranged to provide indication or detection of attempts to punch holes in the disc element 10. The alarm layer / alarm mat 2 consists of a fine mesh wire mat made by e.g.
501 674 knitting, crocheting or weaving. An electrically conductive member is used in the form of, for example, wire or strip of, for example, metal or conductive plastic material. The wire 5 should be provided with an insulating layer, and for example, a copper wire with an insulating lacquer layer of the type usually used in small electric motors can be used. As a non-limiting example, mention may be made of lacquered copper wire of 0.3 mm diameter and a mesh density or mesh size of about 1 mm. Optical fibers are also conceivable.
In Fig. 3 it is very schematically indicated how an alarm mat 2 according to the invention can be constructed. The alarm mat 2 partially shown in Fig. 3 is made by a knitting operation, and if knitted by a single thread, only two thread ends of the mat are obtained so that a continuous circuit is obtained. The alarm mat 2 may also be made of double wires 5.5 'which results in two continuous circuits being obtained. In a very advantageous embodiment, the aforementioned circuits are interconnected so that the alarm mat 2 obtains a single circuit where the current flow is unequal in the parallel wires 5.5 '. The aforementioned interconnection 6 of the circuits is schematically shown in Fig. 3 and arrows show the opposite current flow occurring in the parallel wires 5,5 'running through all the meshes, loops or loops of the alarm mat 2.
Thus, the alarm layer / alarm mat 2 is a fine mesh wire mat and central to the invention is that the alarm mat is made up of one or more insulating layered conductive wires and that the wire or wires are arranged in continuous meshes, loops or loops of, for example, the kind obtained by knitting. crocheting or weaving. Corresponding reasoning applies to the use of optical fibers.
The alarm mat according to the invention has extremely good properties to withstand interference from
501 674 electromagnetic fields, static electricity and the like.
The current technical requirement for the alarm layer 2, such as mask density, number of circuits, flexibility, etc., constitutes control factors in choosing the appropriate manufacturing method. One or more electrical signals are sent through the alarm mat 2 and when attempting to punch in the disc element 10, the electrical signal in the alarm mat is broken due to wire breakage, whereby alarm is initiated. When using optical fibers, the same reasoning applies to light signals.
The second surface layer 3 is suitably constructed in the same or similar manner as the first surface layer 1.
In most cases, the disc element 10 is used so that the surface layer 1 constitutes the exterior of the container and the surface layer 3 constitutes the interior of the container, so variations of the finish and structure of the surface layer can of course occur.
In the manufacture of the disk element 10, the layers 1-3 are joined together by, for example, a bonding, injection or pressing process. A variety of binders can be used, for example, polyester resins or other plastic resins, which results in the formation of a stable disc element. In this case, of course, there is the possibility of imparting a variety of shapes in addition to the flat base variant in the manufacture, which means, for example, that a safety container or a bag of only two curved laminate parts which overlap in the joint portion can be provided. An example of a transport container or bag thus constructed is shown in Figure 4.
The case 20 shown in Fig. 4 is thus made up of two specially shaped disc element parts according to the invention 10a and 10b, these disc element parts being so designed that, when closed, they are closed together so that an overlap zone 21 with the smallest possible gap 22 is present. The bag 20 is suitably provided in the usual manner with externally glued handles 23, hinges, locking means, etc., so that no holes are present in the bag.
501 674 disc element parts. Immediately within the overlap portion 21, a plurality of contact or detection means 24,25 are provided, the means 24 being supported by a strip 26 adhered to the disc element portion 10a and the means 25 supported by a strip 27. Adhered to the disc element portion 10b preferably the strips 26 and 27 extend. around the entire circumference of the container 20 and a suitable number of contact means 24,25 are arranged around the circumference of the container. A security cage is formed by the alarm mats 2 of the disc elements 10a and 10b and the contact means 24 and 25 being so interconnected that they are included in one or more signal circuits. The signal circuit is interrupted if, through hole punching attempts, a wire 5.5 'of the larynx 2 is cut off, and it should be understood in this context that the alarm mat 2 occurs everywhere around the entire surface of the container 20. Of course, in the overlap portion 21 there is also an overlap of the alarm mat 2. The signal circuit is also interrupted if by attempting to widen the slot 22 and thereby inadvertently attempt to penetrate into the container 20, the breaking of the circuit being effected by disconnecting the electrical contact between the means 24 and 25 by altering their mutual distance in connection with the firing attempt.
Inside the transport container 20 is also provided an electronics unit and one or more ampoules or cartridges for a destructive agent, for example color cartridges. The electronics unit is so arranged that upon breaking of the signal circuit, it immediately activates the destroyer cartridges to effect destruction of the value contents stored in the case 20. Activation and deactivation of the alarm system / electronics unit is effected by any suitable high-level code system. Of course, a power source located inside the bag also exists. It can also be arranged in such a way that you set a trigger time for the destroying agent in order to
S01 674 provides another stress factor for possible criminals.
With regard to the safety container 20 according to the invention, it has been found during practical tests that it according to the invention with continuous meshes, coils or loops made of the alarm mat 2, in addition to their function as a hole guard, simultaneously serve as a particularly effective protection device against external interference in the form of, for example, magnetic fields of various kinds and electrostatic fields and the like, by causing voltage inductions or interruptions so that the reaction time of the electronics unit can be so rapid. briefly that disarmament of the destructive agent does not occur even if one simultaneously shoots directly at the destructive agent's activating means with, for example, a high-speed weapon. Thanks to the extremely fast interference suppression, the risk of disinfectant release due to false alarms is limited to external disturbances. A wire and a circuit are in many cases sufficient protection against external interference in the form of, for example, strong magnetic fields and transient voltages. However, two parallel wires that are connected in a circuit with opposite current flow give even better resistance to external interference. The inventive alarm mat 2 thus very effectively prevents interference from, for example, electronics and data equipment which is housed inside the container made up of the disk elements 10.
It will thus be appreciated that many different possibilities exist to provide a refined security system based on the use of the disc element 10 according to the invention.
Thus, the bag 20 described above is extremely suitable for use in various types of value transport.
Fig. 6 shows an example of how a lead-through of, for example, a signal cable 30 can be arranged through a disk element 10, suitably providing an overlap zone 31 in the alarm mat 2 so that the possibilities
501 674 for an alarm-free punching through the disc member 10 is eliminated. In a knitted alarm mat 2 you can usually achieve a sufficient overlap zone by knitting a so-called buttonhole opening in the alarm mat. For example, the cable entry shown in Fig. 6 can be used in connection with the safety case 20.
Fig. 7 exemplifies a security space 40 constructed by means of disc elements 10 according to the invention. Suitably, the splice areas of the disc elements are arranged with overlap zones 41 (see Fig. 8) so that the alarm mat 2 is continuous as described above in connection with the case 20. Conveniently, contacting indications are also provided. not shown) for all overlap joints in a similar manner shown in conjunction with bag 20. Some overlap joints may also be glued. It is convenient to provide special angled disc element strips 10c to simplify the disc element overlap in the corner portions of the space 40.
The disc element strips 10c or the angled corner strips may, of course, also have an internal position relative to the disc elements 10. Disc element overlap and strip indication are also provided at the access opening or door 42 of the space 40.
The disc elements 10 according to the invention can thus be used to build containers, rooms or other spaces where one wants to prevent access, for example, by hole punching. If hole punching is performed, activation of any destructive agent is achieved so that the material stored in the space becomes useless or useless. In the case of joints and doors, an overlapping drill cover and contacts located inside the joint, which break the signal circuit during disassembly attempts, are arranged. These contacts are preferably connected in series with the alarm mats so that the number of circuits is kept down.
Examples of uses of the inventive disk element can be mentioned as follows:
501 674
Containers or bags for value transport such as, for example, money transfers, vehicle and aircraft security containers, weapons storage, affordable bank vaults etc.
Thus, by means of the disc element according to the invention, various containers, rooms and spaces can be provided with a shell which makes unauthorized access impossible without activating an alarm equipment or destruction equipment.
It will be appreciated that many variations exist in the structure of the disc element according to the invention. In its simplest form, the disk element can consist of only one alarm layer and one surface layer, provided that the adhesion of the alarm mat to the surface layer is satisfactorily secured. Additional layers of different kinds can, if desired, be included in the disc element. Variations in material selection are of course also possible. As a non-limiting example of a suitable thickness of the slab elements may be mentioned about 5 mm. Of course, it is usually preferable that the disc element be made opaque. The alarm mat is suitably baked, molded or fixed. The disc element may be provided with stiffeners.
In the event that the electrically conductive wires are exchanged for light-conducting optical fibers, it should of course be appreciated that other peripherals are adapted thereto and that previous reasoning regarding current circuits instead refers to light circuits.
Thus, the invention is not limited to what is shown and described, but changes and modifications thereof are conceivable within the scope of the following claims.
