The invention relates to a cable channel for telecommunication cables in a telephone station.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In a telephone station, telecommunication cables in a fixed horizontal cable path are routed through a vertical cable channel to the telecommunications equipment in a shelf rack. The cable channels that exist today have fixed height depending on how high up the horizontal cable path is arranged.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
Due to the fact that cable channels have a fixed height according to the prior art, they must be specially manufactured so that the height of the cable channel corresponds to the height at which the fixed horizontal cable paths are placed in different telephone stations. Said cable paths may, for example, consist of cable ladders or cable gutters. The special manufacture of the cable ducts so that they reach the appropriate height complicates the production and thereby increases the production cost.
The device according to the invention which solves the above problems is characterized by the claims and consists of a height-adjustable cable channel comprising a first and a second part which arid part is displaceable in said business part so that the height of the cable channel can be varied and thus adapted to the height of fixed cable paths within every telephone station.
Thus, a single cable channel can be connected to cable paths located at different heights through a simple height control, ie the same type of cable channel can be used in different types of telephone stations. In this way, no special manufacture of the cable duct is required, which simplifies production and reduces its costs.
DESCRIPTION
The device according to the invention is further described by means of an embodiment 458 079

examples with reference to the accompanying drawing in which

Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the device according to the invention and the parts of the device separately.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
As shown in Figure 1, the embodiment describes a cable duct 1,2 in accordance with the invention. The cable duct is intended for mounting to a fixed horizontal cable path 3 in a telephone station 4. The fixed cable path 3 is, according to the example, a U-shaped cable channel. Figure 1 further shows the cable channel 1,2 mounted at the cable channel 3 and at a shelf stand 5 in the telephone station. Roof rails 6 firmly connected at a certain height in the telephone station carry the cable channel 3, which is thus located at a height H in the station. The channel leads telecommunication cables 7 to the cable duct 1,2. As previously mentioned, the cable channel 3 may be located at different height H in different telephone stations. In order to be able to use only one type of cable duct for cable gutters at different heights, the cable duct according to the invention comprises a fully adjustable cable duct comprising a first part 1, and a second part 2, displaceable in said first part, so that the height of the cable duct can be varied and adapted to the height H at which the respective cable gutter is located. The height of the cable duct 1,2 is adjusted to the height H so that the second part 2 of the duct can be connected to the cable channel 3. The telecommunication cables 7 in the cable channel 3 are routed through the cable channel 1,2 to telecommunications equipment in the shelf rack. The cable duct is intended for shelf stands 5 which are lower than the first part 1 of the cable duct.
Figure 2 shows how the second part 2 of the cable duct is slidable in said first part 1 and the parts of the device separately. The first part 1 of the cable duct has a rectangular cross-contour and an opening 8 along the front long side that connects to the stand. Through the opening 8, the cables are distributed to different shelves in the frame 5. The second part 2 of the cable duct has a corresponding contour to be inserted into the first part. Also the second part has an opening 9 in the middle of the opening of the first part. The other part of the channel is provided with recesses 10 at the opening 9 so that a recess is formed in the front long side of the second part of the channel. A lid 11
458 079 is arranged over the opening 8, 9 of the cable duct, the upper short side of said lid 11 is provided with a bend which allows the lid to be suspended on the upper edge of the recesses 10 and placed in the recess formed by the recesses 10. The cover 11 is so long that, when the cable duct is adjusted to its maximum height, it covers the part of the opening which is located above the frame. The first part 1 of the duct is slightly higher than the shelf frame 5 (see Fig. 1), where the two parts of the cable duct, when the duct duct is adjusted to the appropriate height, are vertically locked with two screws which are inserted into holes 12 through the two parts of the duct just above the shelf frame. The hole 12 through the first part of the duct is pre-drilled during manufacture. When the height of the duct is then adjusted during mounting, the corresponding hole 12 is drilled through the other part of the duct so that the height of the duct can be locked with a screw through said hole.
To attach the cover 11 to the duct and to connect the cable duct 1, 2 to the frame 5, an angular bracket 13 with a base plate 14 and two side pieces 15 at 90 ° angle to the base plate is used (see Figure 2). The angle bracket 13 is formed with a U-shaped hole 16 in the respective side piece, the angle bracket being pushed down between the two duct portions over the screws in the screw holes 12 so that the edges of the holes 16 abut the screws. The lid 11 is secured to the cable duct 1,2 by the side pieces 15 being positioned so that some of them lie between the duct parts and a part lies over the lid, with the side pieces 15 overlapping the lid 11 which is thereby held. The cable duct is connected to the stand by attaching the base plate 14 to the stand by means of screws. Such an angle bracket also attaches the cable duct to the floor of the telephone station. The side pieces are screwed into the cable duct and the base plate is screwed into the floor.
