FG LUNDHOW, UMEÅ Representative: G Emerot Device for snow plowing The present invention relates to vehicles that can be used on vehicles that are relatively high and lowering snow plows.
Often, for efficient plowing of country roads and the like, it is necessary to use both a front plow placed in front of the vehicle as well as a side plow located at one side of the vehicle. However, such a plow vehicle can only perform efficient plowing on one side of the road. If it is desired that the other side of the road should be plowed in the first place, the vehicle must be fitted with dual sets of attachment means and the side plow must be moved between the position in each particular case.
The present invention has the object of avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages while providing a snow plow which is applicable to a vehicle, which eliminates the need for special auxiliary plows movable at the sides of the vehicle.
Another object of the invention is to provide a simple snow plow for its design, the capacity of which can easily be varied in accordance with the existing snow depth, preferably from the vehicle's cab, even with the angular position relative to the vehicle.
These and other objects are fulfilled by the invention by providing the features stated in the appended claims.
A few embodiments of the invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Shows a plan view of a V-shaped plow according to the invention for application to a loading vehicle. Fig. 2 shows a side view of a modified embodiment. Fig. 3 is a schematic sketch of a driving and control device for a snow plow according to the invention.
The snow plow 1 according to Fig. 1 is of a V-shape and is provided with a frame 2 for application at the front of a truck. Each plow wing 3 and 3 respectively. 4 is provided with guides 3a, 4a for one in, respectively. longitudinally displaceable extension member 5.6. Each extension member is movable from an inner to an outer end position under the influence of a hydraulic 7 and a hydraulic 7 respectively. Eighth
When plowing one side of a road, e.g. the left side, the corresponding extension part 5 is displaced to the outer position under the action of the hydraulic 7, whereby the need for a special plow blade applied to the vehicle side is eliminated.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the plow 1 is liftable by means of a hydraulic 10 from a lower position, in which it rests on the ground. The hydraulic piston 10a is connected to a rod 10b which, for ease of return movement, is spring loaded on the other side of the plow blade. The plow vane 4, as well as the relatively same displaceable extension member 6, have an arched shape, and the extension member is shown in Fig. 2 in the nearest fully extended position. The lifting hydraulic 10 and the hydraulic 8 acting on the extension part 6 are connected in parallel with each other in such a way that a lifting of the plow 1 causes an inward displacement of the extension part.
The hydraulics are powered by a pump 15, whose electric motor receives power from the vehicle's battery. Control means 17 for the lifting and displacement movements are provided in the driver's seat of the vehicle.
The embodiment shown in Fig. 2 may consist of two V-shaped plow wings forming one another, which preferably each have a displaceable extension part.
Fig. 3 is a schematic sketch illustrating the basic embodiment of the driving and operating means for a snow plow of the latter type. The hydraulics 7.7a and 8.8a for the extension parts 5 and 8, respectively. 6 displacement movements are connected in parallel with each other and with the lifting hydraulic 10, which in the arrangement is such that fluid supply to the lifting hydraulic for lifting the plow results in the retraction of the extension parts in the respective plow vane, while a lowering of the plow and the spring pressure exertion causes the extension of the spring to extend. In addition, each of them is preferably separately operable for setting the appropriate offset position by mechanical stop stops.
The common pressure line for the lifting and push-in pipes 323974 is denoted by the number 23 in Figure 3, while the common return line has the number 24. As in Figure 2, the number 15 denotes the hydraulic system electric motor pump, while 16 denotes the vehicle battery and the number. 17 operating controls existing in the cab.
