CLAIMS PATENTKRAV 1. Tools for lifting and transporting gas tubes and the like

The present invention relates to a tool intended to facilitate the lifting and transport of gas tubes and the like, in particular the handling of gas tubes when loading onto trucks or other vehicles as well as when lifting from them.

The tool is designed so that with a few simple handles it can be fixed to the gas tube and offer bracket for a lifting hook or similar tool, so that the tube can be easily lifted, and then easily detached from the tube.

An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing.

Figure 1 shows the lifting tool mounted on a gas tube in side view.

Figure 2 shows the tool and the tube from above.

The tool shown has a rod-shaped stand 1, which at its lower end is formed with a hook 2 for cooperation with the lower flange of the gas tube 3. The frame extends obliquely upwards outward from the bottom end of the tube. 5 with a bracket 6. The ring support is connected to arms 7, which in turn are pivotally connected to the frame 1 by means of a bolt 8 and nut 9. The bolt 8 extends through a bearing 10 attached to the upper end of the frame.

The ring support with the lifting bracket can be locked in both end positions. To this end, a segment 11 is attached to the frame, which has an arcuate groove 12 with the center of the center line of the groove lying in the pivot point of the ring support. The groove 'ends with two circular extensions 13 (only one visible on the drawing} at the ends. A locking pin 14 extends through the grooves and is formed with three portions of different diameters. The portion 15 nearest one end has a larger diameter than the extensions 13. The center portion 16 has a slightly smaller diameter than the window extensions · 13, but larger than the width of the main body of the groove 12. The second end portion 17 has a diameter less than the width of the main body of the groove 12.

The locking pin 14 is connected to a handle 18, which in turn is pivotally mounted in a tight bracket 19 on the ring support 5. It will be appreciated that the locking pin 14 can be extended longitudinally by the handle 18 'and that when the handle is in the position shown in FIG. 2, where the central portion 16 of the pin is in one extension 13, ring support is locked against oscillation. When the ring support is to be swung up, the locking pin is pushed aside by the handle so that the narrower end portion 17 enters the groove 12,

Conveniently, the handle 18 is spring loaded, e.g. by means of a rubber spring 20, so that it strives to take the position according to Figure 2, whereby the ring support is automatically locked in its end positions.
