The present invention relates to photographic apparatus and more particularly to means for connecting wire triggers to camera recorders.

A main leaf spring 26 is attached at one end to a screw 22 to a flange or solitaire shoe 24 which projects from the upper end portion of the block 14 adjacent to the pin 12. In the same way, the release device is instantaneously disengaged from the hook 14 by a simple swinging movement of the spring 26. In addition, the device is substantially less expensive to manufacture than prior art devices in the art because it is not capable of providing internal threads in the recess within the lid 14 to accommodate the threaded end cap of the release arm.

The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment shown here, but can be varied in the broadest sense within the scope of the idea underlying the invention.
