The utility model relates to the field of lighting engineering, in particular to electronic means used to control the operation of networked LED outdoor lighting fixtures.
One of the technical problems in this area is the creation of a control module using analog or digital control signal transmission protocols. This is due to the continued popularity of the transmission of information (signals) using analog communication channels.
The following means of the same purpose as the proposed utility model are known from the prior art.
From patent document CN 110191545, a wireless luminaire control module is known for controlling the luminous flux of a luminaire. Such a module includes a housing made according to the Zhaga specification, which characterizes the mechanical interface between the LED lighting fixture and the control module, as well as a control unit for generating a control signal, a Zigbee communication module, configured to generate a dimming signal using the DALI protocol according to the control instruction and intended for information exchange between the control module and the remote server.
Patent RU 205008 (selected as the closest analogue) discloses a module for wireless control of a luminaire, including a NEMA-type housing with a connector, while the control module is configured to receive and transmit information between the computing units included in the control module and the server part of the automated control system outdoor lighting. In addition, the control module contains a mesh network modem for communication with a remote server.
Each of the control modules disclosed above, while improving the data transfer capability through the use of a mesh network modem, is not adapted to use an analog communication channel to control a luminaire.
The technical problem solved by the proposed utility model is to expand the arsenal of tools for this purpose when creating a device that provides the transmission of a control signal to luminaire drivers with both digital and analog control.
The utility model is a module for controlling an outdoor LED lamp and includes functional elements representing a central processor, a transceiver capable of transmitting data to a remote server and supporting wireless mesh networks, a GLONASS/GPS receiver, and the first digital control driver using the PWM/DALI protocol. and a second 0-10V analog control driver, also a PWM/DALI digital control protocol switch. The functional elements are connected by the corresponding data transmission channels through the corresponding inputs/outputs intended for transmission and reception of information-electrical signals, and the connection scheme of these elements provides for an algorithm for receiving/transmitting/distributing information-electrical signals, at the same time, the transceiver inputs are designed to receive command packets and to process them by the central processor with the possibility of generating a control signal to the corresponding input of the first control driver or the second control driver, the central processor is configured to poll the first control driver about the type of PWM or DALI control protocol supported and register code about the selected protocol type, wherein the first output of the central processor through the said switch is connected to the input of the first driver for issuing a control signal to the input of the digital driver of the lamp in accordance with the code of the selected type of control protocol, the second output of the central processor is connected to the input of the second driver, designed to issue a control signal to the input analog driver control. These functional elements are placed in a housing made according to the Zhaga specification, which characterizes the mechanical interface that provides connection to the LED lamp.
The essence of the utility model is disclosed as follows.
The central processor processes the commands received from the data transmission gateway or another control module via a radio signal transceiver and generates a signal, which, depending on the lamp driver connected to the module, is transmitted to the first digital control driver or to the second analog control driver. These control drivers, in turn, generate and transmit the appropriate control signals to the input of one or another luminaire driver.
The transmission of the control signal from the central processor to the corresponding luminaire driver is preceded by a poll of the digital luminaire driver about the type of control protocol supported: PWM or DALI. The result of such a poll is the corresponding code about the selected type of control protocol, which registers the central processor.
According to the connection diagram of functional elements, the central processor, using the code of the selected type of control protocol, issues an appropriate signal through the PWM / DALI control protocol switch to the input of the first driver, which transmits it directly to the luminaire driver.
The connection scheme of functional elements provides for the transmission of information about the state of the luminaire driver that supports the control interface via the DALI protocol by connecting the first driver through the said switch to the input of the central processor to issue the specified information.
In the event that the LED lamp driver controlled by the module supports an analog control interface (0-10 V), the analog control driver provides only the transmission of control signals to the lamp driver without feedback. Thus, the connection of the central processor (the second output of the specified processor) with the input of the analog control driver makes it possible to transmit the corresponding signal to the input of the luminaire driver that supports the 0-10 V protocol. When a driver that supports the analog control protocol is connected, a corresponding signal is transmitted to such a driver.
The GLONASS/GPS receiver provides automated - regardless of the state of the network - operation by calculating the time to turn on / off the lamp according to the time of sunset / sunrise in one or another location of the lamp. At the same time, thanks to the connection between the GLONASS/GPS receiver and the central processor, data on the exact time and coordinates of the luminaire's location are transmitted.
The functional elements included in the circuit are placed in a housing with a connector and made according to the Zhaga specification, namely: Book 18 Ed. 1.0, which characterizes the mechanical interface between outdoor LED luminaires and control modules.
It should be noted that the Zhaga consortium specializes in developing specifications for an interface that will allow the use of LED lighting sources from different suppliers on an interchangeable basis, without the need for design changes to the luminaire.
The proposed module for controlling an outdoor LED lamp, characterized by a housing of minimum dimensions, which is reliable in terms of ensuring tightness, as well as functional elements located in this housing, expands the range of known means of this purpose due to unification, which provides for the ability to control luminaires with digital and analog control while providing a standardized connection to luminaires.
An example of the implementation of the device is illustrated by a block diagram of the connection of functional blocks (shown in the figure).
The control module is an electronic device housed in a Zhaga plastic case and connected to the luminaire via a specialized connector.
The following functional elements are installed in the case, made in the Zhaga form factor, with a connector:
one - radio signal transceiver;
2 - central processor;
3 - GLONASS/GPS receiver;
4 - PWM/DALI dimming protocol switch;
5 - PWM/DALI digital control driver (first driver);
6 - analog control driver 0-10 V (second driver);
7 - voltage converters.
The case has a diameter of 30 mm, which is a significant reduction in size compared to the current ANSI/NEMA C136.41-2013 standard.
The central processor 2 provides the formation of a control signal and, by means of the connection of this block 2 and the transceiver 1, the transmission of such a signal to the lamp driver to regulate the light flux of the lamp according to the mode of operation of this lamp.
The transceiver 1 provides for receiving a packet of commands from any other control module of a networked luminaire, which are commands: “turn on”, “turn off”, “change the luminous flux”.
Added note ([11]): From the Requirements of Rospatent:

The function of the radio signal transceiver provides for the relaying of commands to other control modules, thereby ensuring the formation of a mesh data network. Reception and transmission of data in this case is carried out in the unlicensed radio frequency range of 868.7 ... 869.2 MHz.
The central processor is made on the basis of System-on-Crystal CC1310 (Manufacturer TI).
The GLONASS/GPS receiver 3 is an LC86L (Quectel manufacturer).
The PWM/DALI 4 protocol switch is based on the LTV-356Т-С chip (Lite-ON manufacturer).
PWM/DALI digital control driver 5 - PBSS4350T chip (NXP manufacturer).
Driver 6 analog control 0-10 V - chip TS321 (Manufacturer ST).
All functional elements that are part of the control module are provided with appropriate power through voltage converters 7.
The proposed utility model, which has the above advantages associated with the control of luminaires that support digital or analog control protocols, provides the formation of a mesh data network in the unlicensed radio frequency range of 868.7 ... 869.2 MHz. Said data network is thus formed between the luminaire control modules and the data gateways.
