Toothbrush, comprising: a first or main component, having an outer surface grip area and area in contact with the oral cavity; the second component covering at least a portion of said main component in said grip area, wherein the first component is opaque, and the second component is at least partially transparent; wherein said at least one protrusion has an oval shape and protrudes through the second component so that the surface of said at least one protrusion is flush with the outer surface of said main component. 2. The toothbrush of claim 1, wherein the main component and the second component are chemically compatible. The toothbrush of claim 2, wherein the main component and the second component comprise a polyolefin. The toothbrush of claim 3, wherein the main component contains polypropylene. The toothbrush of claim 1, wherein the second component contains an odorous substance. The toothbrush of claim 1, wherein the main component includes a plurality of protrusions in the grip area. A toothbrush according to claim 6, in which the second component covers the main component with a layer of various thicknesses. The toothbrush of claim 7, wherein the second component covers the main component with a maximum thickness layer of approximately 5 mm. The toothbrush of claim 1, wherein said protrusions and the second component together form a substantially smooth surface on the grip area.
