Abstract

one. A pharmaceutical composition comprising microcapsules selected from taste-masked immediate-release microcapsules or co-granulated taste-masked immediate-release microcapsules and mixtures thereof, wherein said microcapsules contain fexofenadine and a water-insoluble polymer coating. 2. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein said microcapsules are co-granulated, immediate-release, microcapsules with a masked taste. The pharmaceutical composition according to claims 1 and 2, wherein said fexofenadine is fexofenadine hydrochloride. 4. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, wherein said water-insoluble polymer is selected from the group consisting of ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl acetate, cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate, polyvinyl acetate, ammonium-methacrylate copolymers and mixtures thereof. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, wherein the weight of the water-insoluble polymer of said microcapsules is from about 2% to about 40%. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 3, wherein said composition releases at least about 60% of said fexofenadine hydrochloride in 15 minutes in a liquid with a pH of 6.8 according to the 2nd edition of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1, wherein said microcapsules further comprise a surfactant. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 7, wherein said microcapsules further comprise a glidant or tackifier.     A process for preparing an immediate release pharmaceutical composition with a taste-masked form of a sachet, comprising the following steps:(a) dissolving the water insoluble polymer in an organic solvent;(B) suspending the Fexofenadine in said organic solvent;(C) coating said water-insoluble polymer to said fexofenadine using phase separation;(D) separating said microcapsules from said organic solvent;(E) optionally wetting the microcapsules;(F) granulating together the microcapsules with at least one inactive ingredient;(G) separate granulation of at least one inactive ingredient;h) blending the joint granulate obtained in step (f), along with a granular inactive ingredient obtained in step (g);(I) filling a mixture of bulk phase (h) in a sachet. 17.     A method of treating a condition associated with inflammation in a subject, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising an immediate release microcapsules taste masked granulated jointly or immediate release microcapsules taste-masked, wherein said microcapsules contain fexofenadine and insoluble in water polymer coating. 18.
