Systems and methods for vertebral or other bone structure height restoration and stabilization
Abstract
one. A method for stabilizing a patient’s bone structure, consisting in that: they direct the first expandable element in a compressed state to the first place inside the bone structure; direct the second expandable element in a compressed state to the second place inside the bone structure, spaced from the first place; translate the first expandable element into an expanded state, which leads to the formation of the first cavity inside the bone structure; translate the second expandable element into an expanded state, which leads to the formation of a second cavity inside the bone structure; the first expandable element is transferred from the expanded state to the compressed state, while maintaining the second expandable member in the expanded state; remove the first expandable member from the bone structure; supply curable material to the first cavity; transfer the second expandable member from the expanded state to a compressed state; remove the second expandable member from the bone structure; curable material is fed into the second cavity. 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the first and second expandable elements are cartridges. The method according to claim 2, in which the translation of the first expandable element into the expanded state includes the injection of a pressurized medium for inflation into the can of the first expandable element. The method of claim 2, wherein the canister of the second expandable member is coated with a tack-resistant material. The method according to claim 4, in which the configuration of the anti-stickiness of the material provides resistance to adhesion to the cured material supplied to the first cavity. The method according to claim 1, in which the height

- 42A method for stabilizing fractured bone structure having a fractured height includes expanding the bone structure to a restored height greater than the fractured height by transitioning an expandable member inserted into the bone structure from a contracted state to an expanded state. A curable material is delivered into a cavity formed in the bone structure and allowed to harden while the expandable member maintains the bone structure at the restored height. The expandable member is then removed from the bone structure. 42.
