The method for the first coordinator (202), working on the first frequency (f1) communication channel in a wireless personal area network (200), the wireless personal area network further comprises a second coordinator (204), operating at the second frequency (f2) of the communication channel, the method comprises the steps where: ! - transmit a message on a variety of frequencies of communication channels, including a second frequency (f2) of a communication channel; ! - request so that the second coordinator (204) switches from the second frequency (f2) of the communication channel to the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel; and! - communicate with the second coordinator (204) using the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, in which the wireless personal area network (200) further comprises a third coordinator (206), operating at the third frequency (f3) of the communication channel, and each of the first (202) and second (204) coordinators is adapted to perform the steps, where: ! - transmit a message on a variety of frequencies of communication channels, including a third frequency (f3) of a communication channel; ! - request so that the third coordinator (206) switches from the third frequency (f3) of the communication channel to the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel; and! - communicate with the third coordinator (206) using the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel. ! 3. The method according to any one of the preceding paragraphs, in which the request for switching to the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel is issued as a separate message when the first coordinator (202) receives a response from the second coordinator (204). ! four. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 2, in which the request to switch to the first frequency (f1) of the communication channel is embedded in the message. ! five.
