Wireless architecture for traditional wire based protocol
Abstract
1. A method of wireless communication at a high rate between a host entity and at least one remote device to support wireless MDDI-client comprising the steps of: perform service discovery process to obtain information related to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client in a local area; take indicator to communicate with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; define the characteristics of each of the plurality of safety devices with wireless MDDI-enabled client; selectively operates to provide security during the binding process; and bound to at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the information relating to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client includes a string identifier corresponding to the device name, device characteristics and status display, wherein the information is stored locally. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein performing service discovery process comprises the steps of: transmitting a message to a lower layer to obtain a list of devices; receiving a response that includes the list of devices; send packets to each of the devices included in the list received; and receiving a response that contains strings identifiers for each of the responding devices. 4. The method of claim 3, wherein the lower ur ram supports multicast, the method further comprises the step of transmitting a request packet to provide service in a multicast group to solicit information from a selected wireless devices supporting MDDI-client, wherein multicast group indicated by the multicast address. 5. The method of claim 3, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC, the method further comprises the step of receiving a specialized application information elements related to each of the devices that support w-MDDI-client. 6. The method of claim 3, wherein the lower layer is UDP / IP itself, the method further comprises the steps of: transmits a request packet to the provision of services in a multicast group on UDP-port; joining the multicast group on the UDP-port; and receiving a response to provide service on each device that supports w-MDDI. 7. The wireless communications apparatus, comprising: a memory that retains instructions relating to the implementation of the service discovery process to gather information related to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client in a local area, receiving a request to communicate with at least one of the plurality of enabled wireless devices MDDI-client security determining characteristics of each of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client implementation of security procedures for the binding and binding to at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; and a processor coupled to the memory, configured to execute the instructions retained in the memory. 8. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 7, wherein the information relating to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client includes a string identifier corresponding to the device name, device characteristics and status display, wherein the information is stored locally. 9. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 7, wherein the memory further retains instructions relating to transmitting the message to a lower layer to obtain a list of devices, receiving a response that includes the list of devices, transmitting a packet to each of the devices included in the received the list and receive a response that contains the string identifiers for each of the corresponding devices. 10. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 9, wherein the lower layer supports multicast, the memory further retains instructions related to the request packet transmission service for providing a multicast group to solicit information from a selected wireless devices supporting MDDI-client wherein the multicast group indicated by the multicast address. 11. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 9, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC, the memory further retains instructions related to receiving application specific information elements by relating to each of the devices that support w-MDDI-client. 12. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 9, wherein the lower layer is UDP / IP, the memory further retains instructions related to the transmission request packet for provision of service in the multicast group on UDP-port, joining the multicast group on UDP transmission -Port and receive a response in providing services on each device that supports w-MDDI. 13. The wireless communications apparatus that wirelessly communicates data at high speed, comprising: means for performing a service discovery process to gather information related to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client in a local area; means for receiving a request to communicate with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; security means for determining characteristics of each of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; means to selectively perform maintenance on binding security procedures; and means for binding with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client. 14. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 13, wherein the information relating to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client includes a string identifier corresponding to the device name, device characteristics and status display, wherein the information is stored locally. 15. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 13, further comprising: means for transmitting a message to a lower layer to obtain a list of devices; means for receiving a response that includes the list of devices; means for transmitting a packet to each of the devices included in the received list; and means for receiving a response that contains strings identifiers for each of the responding devices. 16. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 15, wherein the lower layer supports multicast, the apparatus further comprises means for transmitting a request packet to provide service in a multicast group to solicit information from a selected wireless devices supporting MDDI-client, and the group multicast indicated by the multicast address. 17. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 15, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC, the apparatus further comprises means for receiving application specific information elements by relating to each of the devices that support w-MDDI-client. 18. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 15, wherein the lower layer is UDP / IP, the apparatus further comprises: means for transmitting a request packet to the provision of services in a multicast group on UDP-port; means for joining the multicast group on UDP-port; and means for receiving the provision of service for a response from each device that supports w-MDDI. 19. A computer program product comprising: computer readable medium comprising: a first set of codes for causing a computer to perform the service discovery process to obtain information related to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client in a local area; a second set of codes for causing a computer to receive an indicator to communicate with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; a third set of codes for causing a computer to determine the characteristics of each of the plurality of safety devices with wireless MDDI-enabled client; a fourth set of codes for causing a computer to execute a security procedure when binding; and a fifth set of codes for causing a computer to communicate with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client. 20. The computer program product of claim 19, wherein the information relating to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client includes a string identifier corresponding to the device name, device characteristics and status display, wherein the information is stored locally. 21. The computer program product of claim 19, wherein the lower layer supports multicasting. 22. The computer program product of claim 19, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC or UDP / IP. 23. At least one processor configured to communicate data at high rate between a host entity and at least one remote device to support wireless MDDI-client, comprising: the first module to perform service discovery process to obtain information related to a plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client in a local area; a second module for receiving an indicator, to communicate with at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; a third module for determining security characteristics of each of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client; a fourth module for selectively performing ensure safety during the binding process; and a fifth module for coupling to at least one of the plurality of devices that support wireless MDDI-client. 24. At least one processor of claim 23, wherein the lower layer supports multicasting. 25. At least one processor of claim 23, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC or UDP / IP. 26. A method for wireless exchange of data at high speed from a host object comprising the steps of: transmitting a message list of neighboring devices on the lower level, and the message list of neighboring devices, requesting the list of devices in the local area; receive a list of devices in a local area; send request packet to each of the devices; receiving a response that includes string identifiers for the corresponding device, wherein the accept response to expiration of a predetermined interval; and selectively bind to charge the device. 27. The method of claim 26, wherein the device neighbor list message is a message "a list of neighboring devices," and a list of devices is received from a lower level in the "reply with a list of neighboring devices of the lower level." 28. The wireless communications apparatus, comprising: a memory that retains instructions relating to transmitting the message list of neighboring devices on the lower level, while the message list of neighboring devices requesting a list of devices in a local area, receiving a list of devices in the local area, sending a query packet to each of the devices, receiving a response that It includes string identifiers for the corresponding device and corresponding to the selective binding device, wherein the reply is received before expiration of a predetermined interval; and a processor coupled to the memory, configured to execute the instructions retained in the memory. 36. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 35, wherein the lower layer supports multicasting. 37. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 35, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC. 38. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 35, wherein the lower layer is UDP / IP. 39. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 35, wherein if a response is not received before the expiration of a predetermined interval, the binding is unsuccessful and a previous state is resumed. 40. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 35, wherein the memory retains instructions related to perform mutual authentication for security. 41. The wireless communications apparatus that wirelessly communicates data at high speed, comprising: means to send a message to the list of neighboring devices on the lower level, and the message list of neighboring devices, requesting the list of devices in the local area; means for receiving a list of devices in a local area; means for transmitting a request packet to each of the devices; means for receiving a reply that includes string identifiers for the corresponding device, wherein the reply is received before expiration of a predetermined interval; and means for coupling with the responding device. 42. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 41, wherein the lower layer supports multicasting. 43. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 41, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC. 44. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 41, wherein the lower layer is UDP / IP. 45. The wireless communications apparatus of claim 41, wherein if a response is not received before the expiration of a predetermined interval, the binding is unsuccessful and a previous state is resumed. 46. The of claim 41, further comprising means for wireless communication device performing mutual authentication for security. 47. A computer program product comprising: computer readable medium comprising: the first set of codes for causing a computer to send a message to the list of neighboring devices on the lower level, and the message list of neighboring devices, requesting the list of devices in the local area; a second set of codes for causing a computer to receive a list of devices in a local area; a third set of codes for causing a computer to transmit a request packet to each of the devices; a fourth set of codes for causing a computer to receive a reply that includes string identifiers for the corresponding device, wherein the reply is received before expiration of a predetermined interval; and a fifth set of codes for causing a computer to communicate with the responding device. 48. The computer program product of claim 47, wherein the lower layer supports multicasting. 49. The computer program product of claim 47, wherein the lower layer is a WiMedia UWB MAC or UDP / IP. 50. At least one processor configured to exchange data at high speed, comprising: a first module for transmitting the neighbor list message to a lower level devices, wherein the neighbor list message requesting a list of devices the devices in a local area; a second module for receiving a list of devices in a local area; a third module for sending a query packet to each of the devices; a fourth module for receiving a reply that includes string identifiers for the corresponding device, wherein the reply is received before expiration of a predetermined interval; and a fifth module for selective binding to charge the device.
