resume
The present invention relates to a modular outdoor public telephone which is essentially characterized by a modular structure.s based on two overlapping bodies (1) and (2) which contain the telephone mechanisms with a coin-collecting piggy bank, which is fastened to the upper body ifa port (1) a series of windows through which they are to be coupled. different modules are fixed, namely the card insertion module5 the coin input module (ii), the data display module, the keyboard module (14), the coin return module C15) is the microphones suspension moduleP some of which may optionally be deleted are replaced by corresponding caps.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a public telephone, which is intended for use in telephone booths and similar locations, that is, in places where there is no direct personal control over it & where there is therefore a high risk of criminal sections tending to theft of money contained within.
The recommended telephone has some structural features that make such criminal actions practically impossible to succeed and which furthermore enable it to withstand misuse, including genuine mistreatment of acts of vandalism, without serious risk of deterioration by its components and no functionality periods.
The telephone in question is capable of being activated by means of coins and / or credit cards, with a modular structure which allows or not to implement the mechanisms corresponding to one or the other payment modality, without implying any modification to the its basic structure.
Another object of the invention is to achieve control over the collection so that the worker in charge of the operation does not have direct access to the coins.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
As is well known, public telephones, especially telephones which are placed in weatherproof booths, have long been a focus of attraction for delinquents, which is why carcasses are increasingly being used in these types of telephones. tougher, increasingly robust keyboards and in a way that the device has always been intended to become inviolable everywhere.
However, the solutions adopted in this regard lack flexibility ”, as they give rise to one-piece sets on which no modification can be made, so that each specific application of a particular type of telephone will have to obey One form of embodiment practically differs substantially from other embodiments, practically throughout the construction process.
However, the practice sometimes requires exclusively coin-operated phones, credit card-only phones, or indistinctly-phone-operated phones, so a telephone with , from an invariable basic structure, could be able to adapt to any of these requirements.
Fast and simple mounting would also be desirable, despite the extraordinary structural robustness that this type of payphone should offer, yet conventional telephones of this type require complex mounting.
Another problem with such phones is that they have certain weaknesses that make them vulnerable, such as the liquid crystal display through which they transmit information to the user, or channeling out currencies left over or defective „
It is also a problem of public telephones that effective control over the operation of collecting coins is not possible, so that it is dependent on the honesty of the individuals who carry out the operation, since, although there are already ways to do this accounting for coins entering the apparatus, On many occasions the theoretical figure may not coincide with the actual figure due to device failures or various tricks practiced by some users, which makes it impossible to prove with absolute certainty that the lack of coins is due to theft by the worker. or individual carrying out the coin-collecting operation '
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
With the public telephone proposed by the invention, it has a fully referred to manner in all problems, the previous problem being satisfactory, and each aspect of said telephone has a modular structure which permits use or cancellation. certain components according to the case in question, and this with a rational assembly that is quick and simple while the phone as a whole offers maximum rigidity, practically inviolable and free from weak points 'to which must also be added the existence of absolute and automatic control over the coin collecting operation'
To this end, it is in the most concrete way that the public telephone which the invention proposes is structured basically from two bodies, one upper and a receiver of the different operating mechanisms thereof and the other lower constituting a safe.
<img file="PT93068B_D0001.tif" />
receiver of the coins having both bodies physically independent and fixable to each other by means of any system, so that the safe or lower body may be non-existent :: specifically when the public telephone is intended to be activated exclusively by credit *
Both the upper and lower body are provided with doors that fully affect its front face and which, in turn, are equipped with a safety lock system *
The upper body door * with a rearwardly shaped rectangular box-shaped configuration has a plurality of windows for coupling corresponding modules, namely two upper windows, adjacent and lateral, one for coupling the card insertion module and one for coupling the coin insertion module * Under the windows and in vertical alignment there is a window for inserting the module corresponding to the data display, just below another own window for entering the keypad module and at lower level another window for entering the coin return module, while laterally with respect to these last three windows is located another window, enlarged vertically, suitable for coupling the microtelephons suspension module *
With this structure, a series of lids that can be coupled to some of these windows will also collaborate, specifically replacing the card insertion module, the coin insertion module and the return module of these same coins, and even replacing the ds module display ds data when ss treat ds a practical montagsín where it is not considered necessary that said display »
In the lower part of the upper body is immediately below the coin introducing module5 A conventional money box is provided which comprises a tilt lever which can be operated from an external button for classic operation of the required switch selector in order to perform the necessary removal operation. accumulated coins that are obstructing the passage of coins in it »
Underneath the coin selector is a reservoir which admits a considerable number of coins and which is controlled by the microprocessor of the telephone, allowing them to be consumed in a progressive manner.5 As the ss telephone conversation takes place, with return of the coins left over when the ss communication interrupts the return which is carried out by means of the corresponding module under the keypad, it is evident that all these elements ^ mean? ds introduction module5 coin selectors reservoir with coins and return module for such coins will be non-existent in those practical embodiments where the phone is to be activated exclusively by credit cards. The data display module has the special feature that the corresponding liquid crystal display is frontally protected by single or multiple glass thick enough to withstand very powerful impacts »
Regarding the keyboards We have this feature for its vsz as an essential feature the special key mounting system on the corresponding bracket, especially Usi bayonet system that makes said mounting can be done in an extremely fast and simple way. immobilized after proceeding. assembly thanks to their prismatic-polygonal configuration, preferably prismatic-quadrangular, and their subsequent immobilization by means of the collaboration of a cover common to all of them that is provided with windows that are formalv dimensional and positionImsnts matching those keys.
Both the data display module and the keyboard module are provided with a large rear threaded rods which will pass through holes drilled in the bottom of a kind of box which is set up inside the upper body and which fits concretely. through its mouth to the inside of the door, exerting pressure on the latter when tightening the nuts working on said rods and thereby housing the two said modules.
The coin return module, on which the tank will of course be unloaded into them, is a sort of front-facing tray with a front and rear tilting hatch; with the particularity that at the bottom of said tray, whose wall is sloping backwards, there is an oblique partition over which the free edge of the front trapdoor will strike when it performs its tilting movement, so that when If the tray is opened in order to have access to the coins inside it, the trapdoor itself will close the upper mouth of the tray by focusing on said oblique tafoiqus »
All of these modules, specifically with regard to their front guard, are made of a material of great hardness. The solution adopted to achieve the articulation of the tilting parts, The solution whereby the tilting axes of these parts will fit through their ends into housings practiced on the receiving parts will be permanently fixed only by joining said parts with other complementary parts which close the mouths of said housings. '
Obviously, the cable which connects the mechanisms of the telephone itself with the handset is properly shielded, the outlet for said cable being laterally disposed in the upper body by means of a mechanism that allows a certain tilt movement of the order of the two. so that said cable can be oriented in the most convenient way without causing deterioration thereof '
The safety latches for both the upper body door and the lower vault door are multi-bolt and can be opened in either case by a suitable lock provided in the side wall of the body or the distance from the telephone exchange itself and at the request of the operator in the cabin 'it is noteworthy that there is a pusher arm in the lower body following the release of the bolt group, it will act on the door by opening the door 'which is of extraordinary interest given that it lacks hand grips and that its weight' due to its own robustness' is very handsome »
Lastly and in accordance with another of the features of the invention, the coins accessing the telephone will not fall directly into said lower body or safe, but instead fall into a piggy bank which is arranged therein and which has In particular, it incorporates a sealable lid in which a mechanism is provided which, when said piggy bank is housed within the safe, will determine the existence of a hole suitable for the passage of coins into the piggy bank as they fall from the corresponding coin reservoir which is located in the upper body and through openings which are functionally located opposite both sides. whereas at the time that ss extracts said piggy bank s only by means of the extraction maneuver, the slot for access thereto will be closed by said mechanism whereby the piggy bank is completely inaccessible and it is indispensable for the coins inside to break off the strap of its lid »

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
In view of these Figures, and more concretely to Figures 1 and 6, one can see the manner in which the public pay phone is made up of two physically independent bodies (1) and C2>, which can overlap each other and which can be fixed by any conventional system, with the body (1) housing the operating mechanisms of the telephone, while the body (2) sets up a safe deposit box for the progressive collection of the coin made by it and, consequently, it may not exist if it is foreseen that the said telephone will be used exclusively on credit cards. The body (i) receives frontally the corresponding door (3), configured basically in the form of a prismatic-rectangular box of backward concavity, which affects the entire front of the body Cl), while the safe C2) is in turn provided with a front door C4) also independent of the previous one »
The upper door (3) is provided with a plurality of windows C5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10), as can be seen especially in Figure 2.? by instructing these windows to receive the respective modules., specifically the module Cílí of introduction ds moedssF module (12) ds card introduction ,, module (13) ds data display5 the keypad module (14), the coin return module (15), and the handset suspending module (Clò) are all designed from the assumption that any or all of these modules may not exist; how is for example the case of module (12) when ss predicted? that the use of the telephone will be made solely on the basis of the displays, or of the modules (ii) and (15) when it is foreseen that the use of tslsfons will be made exclusively to the credit cards bass; in which case those modules may then be replaced by corresponding coverSg as that which is referenced with the number (17) s ss is shown in detail in Figures 28 to 3®.
Besides that? and as can also be shown in Figure 6, inside the body C1) and under the mosquito introduction module (11) there is a mosquito selector (18).5 ds any conventional typeP underneath it is a reservoir (19) where the telephone will store the introduced mosquitoes from which they will progressively pass5 through the conduit (20) = into the safe (2) as the telephone conversation unfolds, for the purpose of which the bodies (1) and C2) incorporate holes (21) opposite each other and in front of the pipe (20) 5 whereas when the conversation ends the remaining mosquitoes still contained within the reservoir (19) pass into the mosquito return module (15) which is in turn situated below said reservoir (19) 'ΰ module (ii) of the introduction of coins materializes in the form of a plate which corresponds to its own reference number (11) ? where ss defines a slot (22) for inserting the coins? with a considerably well-tuned mouthpiece to facilitate this operation.5 going the groove <22) empt rsUisa conduit (23) flat latsralments that will determine the formation of a downward sloping ramp s through which the coins5 after they have been introduced they will roll towards the outlet mouth (24) at the end of said ramp5 at the inner end of the pipe (23)3 as you can vsr in Figures 7 and 8? functionally positioned in front of the mouth (25) of the coin spool (18) of FIG.
As is knowns The coin selectors incorporate a tilting side part which allows the release of coins which may have been locked inside. Well, in order to convince itself to even operate this tilting partition, the coin introducing module (il) further incorporates a button (26) also provided on its front plate on which said The button is pivotally mounted ^ for the purpose of which said button has a transverse expansion at its top (27). 5 in the form ds “tilde”? which will determine the formation of two cylindrical dowels at opposite diameters that will be housed in a socket formed in the back of the plate itself (11) 5 as can be seen especially well in the detail view of Figure 11, and within which they will be retained by means of a back cover (29) which is secured to the plate (II) by means of screws (29) which emerge from the back of the latter and incorporating tabs <3 ©)5 bent elbows acting on the ends of the transverse prolongs 27, as can be seen in Figure 8s whereby this back cover (28) is the true support to which ss will secure the flattened channel (23) to the coins »button (26), as opposed to its pivot axis (27), incorporates a rearwardly appended appendix (31) through a window (32) of the lid (28) and which, through its free end (s) by means of the pin (33), is pivotally connected to an arm (C34) whose free end is In turn, it is finished by means of a bundle (35) which is the element that acts on the classic side-swinging arm of the coin selector's movable partition. through its central zone, concretely on an axle (36) which is integral with the flat channel (23) and on which a spring (37) is coaxially mounted against which the arm (34) has to work, overcoming the force of said spring when acting over the front button (26 5, =
With regard to the card insertion node 12, it has to incorporate in its front plate 12 a slot 38 which will be functionally positioned in front of a card reader of any conventional type which is used to is fixed to the back face of plate C12), which incorporates screws similar to those incorporating plate (i), which develop in the form of parts integral with plate (ii) from the rear face of plate 12. (read 5, for fixing these modules to the door (3), with the collaboration of the corresponding nuts.
With respect to module í. 13) The display is made up of a rectangular, high-strength metallic rim which corresponds to the reference number 13 itself, which will determine the formation of a window 39 which allows one to see a conventional type liquid crystal display using single or multiple glass (4Θ) which also offers maximum guarantees as regards mechanical strength. More concretely, and as can be seen in Figure 12, the metal rim (13) incorporates a peripheral rim hell into which a flat rim of the rubber (41) suitable for laying the glass (40) 3 and from parts behind the rim (13) along the entire periphery of the same rim will develop threaded rods (42) for securing the rim to the cover (3) of the upper body Cl) of the telephone; whereby these threaded rods serve simultaneously to fix water to the rear rim (43), preferably plastic, which will act as a retaining agent for the glass (4®) and as a physical support for the printed circuit board (44) the liquid crystal display (45) located immediately behind the protective glass (4®) = display module (13) and the keyboard module (14), to be discussed below, they are fixed to the door (3) of the upper body (1) of the telephone, with previous introduction through the corresponding windows (7) and (8), until è. penetration limit situation defined by its outer peripheral shoulder (465, in collaboration with a housing (47) coupling to the inner face of the door, with its concave facing forward, whose bottom is traversed by the screws (42) which will receive the corresponding nuts (48) behind the housing (47) „□ keyboard module (14) s also consisting of a front plate which corresponds to its own reference number (14), metal and hardness and resistance ,, which configures a sort of upward and backward sloping bottom case, as can be seen especially well in Figure 14, at the bottom of which the necessary windows for the different keys 49 of the keyboard are set,
More specifically, the plate (14), in addition to the screws (50) similar to the screws (42) of the display module given for the same purpose of securing the keyboard module: As a whole, the housing (47) incorporates at the rear four other screws (51) for the attachment of a metal reinforcement (52) which is shown in detail in Figures 23 and 24 and which has holes in it. (53) in correspondence with the different keys (49), which interleaves between the electro-insulating support (59) and the printed circuit board (55) == This plate receives on its front side an elastic membrane (56) provided with conductive rubber sectors (57) which they find only. placed in front of the keys (49) and through which the marker circuits will close when said keys are sccionadss. All these parts are armed by means of bolts (53) which are fixed to the electro-insulating support (59) which is in turn shown in detail in Figures 17 to 21 and which has a plurality of the housings ( 60) for each of the keys materialized as cylindrical holes, with two opposite diametrical arms (61) for holding a small central bushing (62) guiding an axial rod (63) of the corresponding key, at the same time as on the front of said bushing C62) ss supporting a spring 64 which is housed inside the key 49 and which tends to project the latter outwards, which means that the actuation of the key is against the force exerted by said spring.
In turn, each of the keys 49 has a polygonal prismatic body, corresponding to the reference numeral 13 itself, which, as you can see in detail in Figure 20, is hollow and closed at the bottom. from which emerges, in addition to the axial shaft (63) referred to above, a cylindrical neck (65) surrounding the bushing (62) and having two large windows or side openings which are clearly visible in the elevational view Figure 20 = Corresponding to the union between the prismatic body and the cylindrical neck From the key, it incorporates two flat expansions. 90 ° circular trapezoidal sides and counterparts (66), each of which further incorporates a radial appendage (67) so that both appendices are diametrically opposed in the same manner whereas slight radial expansions C6Q) of the housing C60) of the bracket (59) permitting the implantation of the corresponding keys for their permanent fixing by simply rotating them and by means of a bayonet system, after exerting axial pressure on the keys (49) against the force exerted by the spring C64), in a situation of frontal opposition between the tabs (67) and the openings (68), and a subsequent partial rotation movement along an interior excavation (69) through which said openings (C68) extend and which are clearly visible in Figure 17.
To immobilize the keys (49) on its support (59), after mounting, a complementary plate or cover (70) having polygonal holes that are numerical, formal is provided. and positions coinciding with the keys (49), which is also fixed by means of a screw <71) to the support (59) and which will therefore immobilize the keys with terms of rotation movement, preventing them from uncoupling by their own bayonet mounting system.
Of course, the windows of this plate or cover (70) will also coincide formally, dimensionally and positionally with the windows of the front plate (14), through which the keys C49) will emerge from the outside, but should call Note that while in the holder (59) there may be a maximum number of housings (60) for the respective keys (49), the plate or cover (70) must have the same windows as in the front plate. C4} »means, On the outer plate and mirror constituting the protection element of this module there may be the same or fewer windows depending on the number of keys provided for the telephone in each case, and more specifically on the performance provided for said telephone. »
As regards the coin return module (15), we have that it is also constituted by a front rim which corresponds to the reference number (15) itself and which has the same outer and rear peripheral shoulder (73) for fitting to window C9) of the upper body cover (3) (1), which defines a large window (74) normally closed by a door (75) which is tilted in correspondence with its upper edge. The rear face of the rim (15) is fixed by screwing and with the assistance of a pair of side flaps (76), a body (77) forming an inverted straight-trapezoidal profile receptacle or box, open at both the top and front, where said window (74) is located =
Attention is also drawn to the fact that the part (75) constituting the door of access to this receptacle ss extends in the extremity area of its upper edge through cylindrical appendages (78) constituting its base axis. which are supported by recesses or shoulders 79 which are functionally practiced on the Sntsro-upper vertices of the side walls of the housing determining body 77 and which are clearly visible in Figure 25, said door (75) being immobilized as regards the movements that

the assembly itself on the window (9) of the front door (3), since the edge of said window (95) will cover the abovementioned cut-outs or shoulders (79) in which they are housed. the axes (78) =
For fixing the module to the door (3) in a manner similar to that which has already been observed in previous cases, said rim (13) incorporates on its rear face, next to its vertices, threaded rods (80) =
It should also be noted with respect to this coin return module that a plate <81) is located within it and above the sloping rear wall (82) of said coin. receptacle, also having an inclined but less inclined arrangement as shown in Figure 27, the plate (81) having two side tabs (835), which are first folded upwards and then outwards, own for its fixing to the body (77), specifically with the collaboration of a screw (84) trabalha® torn in some openings (85) which is charged acha® own tabs (83 'and allowing a degree of mobilid ade plate (81), which has its downwardly bent, rearward elbow C8 (6) so as to overlap the postero-upper edge of wall (82) of neck (77), while its antero-inferior edge ss is provided with a cutout (87), of great width and of little depth, against which it goes. stop the lower edge of door C73) when it swings backwards towards its opening =
In this way and as can clearly be seen from Figure 27, the coins will fall on the plate (81) which will be substantially spaced from the door (75), thereby accessing the bottom of the receptacle defined by the part (77), and to if these coins can be accessed, the door (75) must be tilted backwards, then said door, when it is in this front opening position, completely shut, with the collaboration of plate C8i), On the other hand, the slight degree of mobility of the plate (81), obtained through the torn holes (85), will allow the plate (81) to be tapped slightly if a possible accumulation of the coins capable of obstructing the passage of those coins *
As mentioned above, when the telephone is only intended to work with credit cards, this currency return module will be non-existent and the window (9) will be closed with a lid (17), just the one shown in Figures 28 to 3, consisting of a rectangular plate, formally and dimensionally according to the window (9), which are provided with an inner peripheral shoulder (88) for adapting to the mouth of the window and a threaded rod (89) emerging from its rear face which are intended to be permanently fixed to the door (3) of the upper body (1) of the telephone as in previous cases *
Lastly, the front door window (1 ©) of the upper body (i) of the telephone is intended to receive the handset hanger module (9 ©), which module is clearly visible in Figures 31 to 36 * This module consists of a rectangular plate corresponding to its own reference number (9 ©) and having the same peripheral shoulder (91) as the aforementioned modules, for coupling to the window mouth (1Θ) and with the same screws (92) for fixing it *
In this plate (90) defines an upper and upper sector (93) suitable for attaching by means of an adornment plate (94) ands immediately underneath thiss a recess (95) formally and dimensionally suitable for receiving the handset headset (16), while at its lower end there is a front extension (96) which will determine the formation of a socket for the opposite end of said handset (16). ) 'Which is just the end corresponding to the microphone ^ and with a slot (97) for the cable outlet (98) =,
In the lower part of the recess (95) a broad shoulder is defined and in that shoulder a window over which will be located a small rocker (99) that completely obtains said window and is made of the same metallic material and of great hardness that the plate (90) of this and the other modules. Said rocker has two small lateral cylindrical extensions (100) which constitute its tilt axis.5 which will be housed in a groove formed in the rear face of the plate or shield (9 ©) which will be retained in the mounting situation by the bracket (101) for the microswitch C102) which constitutes the true suspension sensing element, This support is materialized by a plate that basically opposites the configuration of a "U" »whose side flaps are equipped with extreme flanges (3) through which ss will be fastened to the plate C9®) by means of nuts (104) which engage with threaded rods emerging from said plate, which side flaps through their anterosuperior vertices (1®5) close the slots of the shaft housing (10 ©).s as can be seen especially well in Figure 36 'and whose core' much narrower than its side flaps' (s) will extend through its rear edge ^ as it folds upward to form a sector C6) to which the microswitch (102) will actually be attached, this extension incorporating another extension extending. determining the formation of a tab (107) to which one end of a CIOS spring will be attached which will relate the support (101) to the arm (109) which is integral with the rocker (99) © which is the element that will actually actuate on the microswitch 102 via the rod 10 of the latter.
At a lower level, on this same plate (90) ..... is located the recall button (tilde), which is shown in detail in Figures 37 to 39. Specifically, said button (i) is hollow and open at the back, with a peripheral flap (112) which acts as a retaining stop over the also peripheral shoulder (113) of the hole (114) of which For this purpose the plate (90) of this handset at the same time said button (iii) incorporates an axial rod (115) through which it will actuate on a microswitch (Clio) which is integral with a support (17) which has an angular configuration and which in turn will be fixed by means for attaching to threaded rods CHS) emerging from the back face of the plate (90) on either side of the hole or window (114). In addition, and as you can see especially well in Figure 39, this bracket (117) will fill most of the inner mouth of the window (114) and has a hole (119) for passage and guide rod (115). , while acting as the base for the support for the mill (120) which tends to project the knob (111) outwards, until it reaches the limit situation shown in Figure 39 determined by the rim. (112) and the shoulder (113) ....
The door (3), which is conveniently hingedly attached to the body (1), incorporates a safety bolt (121) which can be operated by means of a lock mechanism (122) with access through one of the side walls. as shown in Figure 1, the bolt C12i) being a double bolt consisting of a slide corresponding to the reference numeral (21) itself and which is dated by a slotted hole (123) suitable for its bending over spikes (24) which are functionally established in the corresponding lateral wall of the upper body <i)5 and extending through its ends; respective bolts (125) which can be drilled into holes formed in angled plates (125 '), suitably secured with the door (3)5 the displacement of the bolts being carried out with the aid of a handle (12) which is associated with the locking mechanism and which at its free end is provided with a pulley (127) which will work inside a torn hole (128) which is practiced in the central area of the movable element (121),
Attention is drawn to the fact that this locking mechanism may be provided with complementary locking means capable of being controlled from the telephone exchange to which the telephone is connected, such that it cannot be to open it, or by the company's own personnel, without prior authorization granted at that very moment from that plant =
Turning now to the cable (98) which relates the handset (1) to the apparatus, we have that said cable (98), which is a suitably shielded cable, is attached to the superxor body (1) of the apparatus, specifically to a d -the side walls thereof, with the collaboration of a pivot mechanism which allows to vary the cable exit orientation? This is within certain limits.
In this sense and more concretely, in the lateral wall of the body (i) a large circular hole (129) is established, in which it conforms externally to the body (1) a piece (C3 "), also of great rigidity and made in the same metallic material as the rest of the outer elements of the telephone, which part is provided with a hollow cylindrical neck (C131) through which said part (13 ©) will penetrate the body (1) through the hole C129), said neck C13) in turn coaxially engaging within a bush (132) which is mounted on the inside of the body (1) and is provided with a peripheral expansion (133) whereby it will rest on the inner face of said body (1), providing the hole (129), and through which ss fixes to the latter by means of screws' (134), As in the other previous cases Complementarily the neck (131) of the part (13) is provided with a peripheral shoulder (135) which limits the axial coupling of the bushing (132) in this part and which will therefore prevent the the periphery of the part (13) and that the periphery (133) of the inner part will exert pressure against the wall (i), which would make it impossible to rotate the repeatedly said part (3 3), which is further axially fixed to the bush (132) with the aid of a compression portion (136) = the bush (132) has a protruding shoulder, shown in black in Figure 41 so that it can be easily detested è. at first sight, which will act as a limiting stop of the tilt movement of the piece (13 °), which tilt is approximately 9 ° limited by the ends of said section (36) =
In addition, the piece (13) incorporates a second cylindrical neck (139) perpendicular to the neck (131), i.e. disposed essentially hollow, within which ss establishes a clamp (14) for the corresponding end (1415) of the neck. cable shield (98), which clamp is in turn secured by means of a stud (142), thus establishing a continuity between the hollow interior of said socket <14> and the hollow interior (143) of the neck <131> which accesses the interior of the body (1) =
Turning now to the lower vault C2), it has a closing mechanism similar to that of the upper body (1), that is, with a side closing mechanism (144) which through a crank (145) is to be topped off by a pulley (146) working inside a torn hole (147) corresponding to a sliding plate (148) which is only provided with it. torn holes (149) for guiding them with the help of a spikes (150) integral with the corresponding side wall of the safe (C2), said plate (148) having extensions (151), folded in elbow shape, which configure the bolts themselves, which will act on holes formed in the side flaps of a U-shaped puddle (152) "which is conveniently secured to the inner face of the door (4) = In this case, and in addition to the aforementioned structure, said crank (145) extends at its beginning in an arm (153) which is topped off by a roller (154) which in the opening maneuver acts on the door (4), as shown by the arrow of Figure 43, helping to initiate opening of said door, which is of great interest as said door (4), as can clearly be seen in Figure 1, has no handle and moreover, it is mostly embedded in the mouth of the body, as in turn you can see in Figure 43, On the other hand, its weight is very considerable given the high degree of shielding expected for this lower or safe body (2) „In this regard, attention should be drawn to the fact that this locking mechanism can be provided with a complementary means of blocking capable of being controlled from the telephone exchange to which the telephone is connected, so that it cannot be opened by the company's own personnel, without prior authorization granted at that time from that plant =,
Inside the safe (2), and as a true collector element of the coins, is a piggy bank with a lid (155), precincible, for the purpose of which has a hook tab (156) on one of its edges and with some ears (157) on the other edge, with perforations C15S) suitable for passing the strap itself. This lid (155) is provided with a complementary wall (159) which forms a shallow casing which fits into the inner face of said lid which is attached same with the collaboration of some screws (16β), In such a way that between both walls will be formed the formation of a flat chamber (161) within which will operate an oscillating plate (162) which has a window (163) for the passage of the coins inwards. the piggy bank, whether or not positioned opposite other similar windows 164 and 165 respectively in the outer wall 159 s in the inner wall 159 of the lid, shown in detail in the enlarged view of Figure 45.
More concretely, the part 162 is pivotable on the shaft 166 and in its movement of the hassles, a pin (167) which joins the ceiling or upper wall of the safe (2) and which is simultaneously working on the shaft will participate. inside of an antero-posterior groove 168 of an auxiliary plate 169 which is also located within the flat chamber 161, conveniently secured by screws 17 and a transverse groove. (171) which has the tilting plate C162), it is obvious that the auxiliary and fixed plate (169) will in turn be provided with another hole (172) suitable for the passage of the coins, which is functionally placed. in front of the holes (164) and (165) of the outer and inner walls of the lid and in front of which the hole C163) of the swinging part will also be placed »
With this structure will cooperate a blade (173) acting on the edge (174) of the tilting plate (162) opposite its articulation (166), blade (173) which will stabilize said part, acting as if it were a brake. for this, and in addition to the underside of the tilting part (162), a pin (175) working within an arcuate groove (176) of the auxiliary plate C169) and with which a trinet (1) cooperates (1). 177), which is pivotally mounted on an axle C17S) and which in turn relates to a cam (179) which is also mounted on a pivot axis (18®), topped by a head (18® ') accessible from the inside of the lid, as shown in Figure 45, the pin (177) incorporating an angular notch (iSi) in which, at a given moment, said pin (1755 of the tilting part (162), as shown see below »
According to this arrangement and as shown in Figure 46, when the piggy bank is introduced into the safe (C2), the tilting part (162) will adapt such a position that the opening of its slot (171) will coincide with the opening in the slot (168) of the auxiliary plate (169) »In this case, over both sides of the opening will be situated» at the moment the introduction of the piggy bank begins, the safe deposit pin (167) »As the piggy bank penetrates into the safe» the fastener (1675 runs along the slot (1685 s) dragging the plate (1625), forcing said plate to gradually tilt up to the limiting situation shown in Figure 47 and corresponding to the full penetration of the piggy bank into the vault, at which time the meat will adopt the position shown in the detail view of Figure 47, this position in which the hole (1635 of the tilting part (162)) will be functionally placed in front of the holes (164), (1725 and (1655) of the upper wall of the lid, the complementary plate (169) and the lower or inner wall (1595). said coin, by which the coins being introduced into the telephone will have timely access to said piggy bank, since, of course, all; these holes will in turn be placed in front of the holes (215 which relate the upper body (1) of the telephone to the lower safe (2) (Figure 6) =
At the time of the extraction of the piggy bank, and thanks; at a mere displacement of it inwardly outwardly, the pin 1675 will cause the plate (1625) to swing in the opposite direction and due to the position adapted by the cam as shown in Figure 48 in the limiting situation. The pin 175 will be lodged in the shoulder 181 of the pin 1775, as it is impossible for the tilting plate 1625 to perform a maneuver in the opposite direction. whereas it is not possible to immediately and immediately introduce the piggy bank back into the safe or to act on the piggy bank with an extended object in order to force the piece (1625 to be tilted so that it can be the hole (1635 will be placed in front of the rest of the holes in the lid so that it is possible to extract the retained coins through these holes »
In order for the piggy bank to be reinserted into the vault it is necessary to disassemble it at the intended time for extracting its contents, and in the case of opening it prior to carrying out the new prscintagsm, act directly on the container. head (18 ©r) of the meat tilt axis C179) and cause the latter to adopt the position shown in Figure 46 = in which its cut-off C1S1) moves away from the trajectory of the pin (175) and thus the tilt plate ( 162) will be able to rotate freely about its axis (166), with no further limitations than those imposed by the brake defined by blade C73) and therefore = to allow the piggy bank to be placed in the safe; whereby the pin (167) of the latter acts on the repeatedly said tilting plate (162) until the sky is reached the limiting situation of facing between slots or holes for passage of the i:: = ...5 S '~.: Ú 'Ís is
In this way, a modular telephone is provided in which the different operating modules are easily changed, especially for obtaining telephones with different levels of performance. This telephone also offers excellent guarantees of the inviolability of both offenders and criminals. to acts of vandalism, and also offers optimum security from the point of view of coin operation as the piggy bank in which the coins are contained is removed from the telephone as a precinct and may remain in this condition until deemed appropriate, the said piggy bank being replaced by another empty piggy bank at
