The subject of the application is a military communication unit that uses digital communication networks (110) with a relatively large bandwidth (e.g. cellular networks), is able to act as a wireless communication concentrator for a soldier, vehicle, weapon or other unit. The military communication unit can receive data from many devices via short-range wireless technologies and communicate with training or operational networks. The military communication unit can be flexible in terms of its data transfer capabilities by formatting data according to Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA) and / or other distributed computing simulation standard.
