The multi-stage sealing with magnetic liquid is characterized by the fact that in the housing (2) the seals are fixed (3) in the form of stepped bushings separated by a permanent magnet (5), and movable pole shoes (4) are mounted on the shaft (4) also in the form graduated bushings separated by a permanent magnet (6), whereby the sealing bands are made on inner cylindrical surfaces of stationary pole pieces (3) or on external cylindrical surfaces of movable pole pieces (4). Permanent magnets (5 and 6) placed in the housing (2) and shaft (1) are set in relation to each other in such a way that the permanent magnet (5) is in the NS pole arrangement and the magnet (6) - in the MV pole arrangement or vice versa. The magnetic fluid (7) is placed in ring gaps formed between the sealing protrusions of the movable pole pieces (4) and the smooth cylindrical surfaces of the stationary pole pieces (3) or in the gaps between the sealing lips of the fixed pole pieces (3) and the smooth cylindrical surfaces of the movable pole pieces (4) .
