TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] The present invention relates to applicators for applying a product to the consumer's body, in particular to a cosmetic applicator having two cosmetic modules in which one module is independently movable relative to the other module.
DISCUSSION OF THE PRIOR ART OF THE INVENTION [0002] Cosmetic applicators are intended to provide a cosmetic agent such as lip gloss, mascara, lip liner, concealer, foundation, eye shadow and eyeliner etc. from the cosmetic module. The cosmetic module may be a solid element, a fluid reservoir or a similar element. Due to the ease of design and production, applicators usually fit only one cosmetic unit.
[0003] Document US 2006/0153626 A1 discloses combinations of a pen, pencil and a round marking device that can be used as a pen or pencil writing tool and for round marking.
[0004] Thus, users must wear different applicators. For example, when applying lip gloss, it may also be useful to have access to the lip liner. In this way, the user must remember to wear both of these items. This, of course, requires wearing many items and reduces the space needed to carry items.
[0005] Therefore, there is a need for a cosmetic applicator that is simpler and easier to use, which also avoids known drawbacks when there is only one cosmetic module in the housing.
[0006] Even when the user carries all the cosmetics, it may be that the cosmetics used are incompatible. In the example above, lip gloss may contain ingredients that react negatively with the lip liner. The conflict may be relatively minor, condensation or smudging of one or the other cosmetic agent, up to serious, burning or allergic reactions on the user's skin.
[0007] Thus, there is a further need to provide cosmetics that are compatible with each other. Since cosmetic agents may have different physical states, usually liquid, solid or amorphous, there is a need for the cosmetic applicator to provide such compatible cosmetic agents in their condition.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0008] The invention needs. In them, these are met by the present cosmetic applicator, defined by independent claims 1 and 2 for dispensing the first and second cosmetics on the skin of the user comprising a housing having an interior space, a first cosmetic module containing a first cosmetic agent located in the housing, a second cosmetic module comprising a second cosmetic agent disposed in the housing and means for moving the second cosmetic module relative to the first cosmetic module from a rest position to an extended position.
[0009] The displacement means are a sliding assembly or a button and spring assembly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [0011] Hereinafter, the term "cosmetic agent" is used to designate a cosmetic that is applied to a user, while the term "cosmetic module" is used to designate a physical formulation that contains a cosmetic agent. For example, the components of lipstick that is used for coating and / or enhancing the lips of the user are a cosmetic agent, while the molded, usually cylindrical form of lipstick that is transferred and used from the applicator is a cosmetic module. Similarly, the liquid in the reservoir will be a cosmetic agent, while the reservoir is a cosmetic module. A person skilled in the art understands that the above is not an exhaustive list.
[0012] With reference to Figures 1 and 2, in the first embodiment of the present invention, the multi-module cosmetic applicator comprises a first cosmetic module and a second cosmetic module that is movable relative to the first cosmetic module from a rest position to an extended position by the slide assembly.
[0013] Here, the term "resting position" occurs when the second cosmetic module is retracted in the housing, while the "extended position" occurs when a portion accessible to the user of any length, the second cosmetic module is extended beyond the housing so that the user can put the cosmetic agent in the cosmetic module on your body.
[0014]
In the present description, Figures 1a and 1b are multi-module front according to the first
Figures 2a-2c are the sides of the multi-module front view 10, and perspective views from the cosmetic applicator 10, an embodiment of the invention respectively a right view of the cosmetic applicator 10, the multi-module cosmetic applicator a cross-section of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 10 taken along the line B-B in Fig. 2b .
[0015] Preferably, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 10 is made of plastic, metal and / or thermoplastic elastomers, rubber, manufactured using blow molding, and mounted by a snap assembly. However, any other material, method of manufacture and / or assembly can be used. It is particularly desirable to make certain parts of the housing from anodized plastics to give them an exclusive and refined look.
[0016] The multi-module cosmetic applicator 10 comprises a cap 11 and a housing 12. The cap 11 is preferably fitted so that it overlaps a substantial part of the upper housing body 12a, which is sealed off by a sleeve 12c from the lower housing body 12b.
[0017] The lower body 12b includes an inner space 12d, which may be a void space or may be configured as a reservoir for the first cosmetic means used by the first cosmetic module 14a. The upper body 12a defines a substantially longitudinal interior space that mainly houses the second cosmetic module 14b and means for moving the second cosmetic module relative to the first.
[0018] The housing 12 is preferably designed so that it has an attractive shape and is ergonomically designed to fit in the user's hand. The ergonomic design can contain any desired shape that is considered beneficial. As illustrated, the lower body 12b may have a shape that narrows to the tip, while the upper housing body 12a has a wider, fuller shape.
[0019] The upper housing body 12a includes an opening 12e adapted to insert both the first cosmetic module 14a and the second cosmetic module 14b through such an opening. The opening 12e defines the proximal end of the housing 12, while the end of the lower housing body 12b defines the distal end. The upper housing body 12a also includes a notch 12f disposed substantially longitudinally to which the slider assembly 16 closely fits.
[0020] The first cosmetic module 14a preferably has a small width-to-length ratio and extends extensively to the inner space 12d and constitutes a wick for the first cosmetic agent. For example, the cosmetic module 14a may have the shape of a graphite pencil, which has a generally cylindrical cross-section and has a considerable length. In it, the cosmetic module 14a extends over the entire length of the housing 12 and extends over a portion extending beyond the proximal end of the housing 12 to form a user-accessible portion 15a.
[0021] Conversely, the second cosmetic module 14b comprises a second cosmetic agent and preferably has a greater width-to-length ratio than the first cosmetic module 14a. For example, the second cosmetic module 14b has a lipstick shape that has a generally cylindrical cross section and is relatively shorter than the first cosmetic module.
[0022] The cosmetic module 14b is located around the cosmetic module 14a, and thus includes a longitudinal channel 14c that houses the first cosmetic module 14a. The channel 14c extends longitudinally through the second cosmetic module 14b and can have any suitable cross-sectional shape that allows the cosmetic module 14b to move freely relative to the first cosmetic module. In this way, it should be noted that the channel 14c contains a circumferential clearance around the cosmetic module 14a.
[0023] Using the slider assembly (as will be shown below), the second cosmetic module is selectively displaced relative to the first cosmetic module from its resting position in the housing 12 (Fig. 1a) so that the part 15b accessible to the user of any length , the second cosmetic module 14b extends beyond the distal end of the housing (Fig. 1b).
[0024] Herein, for example, the cosmetic module 14a may be a lip liner that has a diameter much smaller than the second cosmetic module 14b, such as lip gloss. The first cosmetic modules can be a solid, semi-solid or waxy product, such as an eye pencil, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, lip balm, eyebrow liner, concealer, foundation, blush, etc.
[0025] To move the second cosmetic module, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 10 includes a slider assembly 16. The slider 16 may include a button 16a having a textured surface to provide a tactile response to the user. The slider assembly 16 includes spaced apart arms 16b that connect to the sleeve 16c that holds the second cosmetic module. The sleeve 16c preferably has a transverse bottom that has an opening with a size suitable to allow movement of the second cosmetic module relative to the first.
[0026] When the user presses the slider assembly 16 through the button 16a longitudinally towards the opening and housing 12d, the second cosmetic module 14 moves forward through the opening 12d and the portion 15b is suitably positioned for the user.
[0027] With reference to Figures 3 and 4, a multi-module cosmetic applicator not part of the invention comprises a first housing portion that pivots relative to the second housing portion and moves the second cosmetic agent relative to the first cosmetic agent from the rest position to the forward position.
[0028] In the present description, Figures 3a and 3b are perspective views of a multi-module cosmetic applicator not forming part of the invention. Figures 4a-4c are, respectively, a front view of the cosmetic applicator 30, in a displaced position, a cross-section of the cosmetic applicator 30 taken along the line A-A in Fig. 4a, and a transparent view of the cosmetic applicator 30 in an extended position.
[0029] Preferably, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 30 is made of plastic, metal and / or thermoplastic elastomers, rubber, manufactured using blow molding, and mounted by a snap assembly. However, any other material, method of manufacture and / or assembly can be used. It is particularly desirable to make certain parts of the housing from anodized plastics to give them an exclusive and refined look.
[0030] Here, the cosmetic applicator 30 includes a cap 31 and a housing 32. The cap 31 is preferably fitted to overlap a substantial portion of the upper housing body 32a, which is sealed off by a sleeve 32c from the lower housing body 32b.
[0031] The lower housing body 32b includes an inner space 32d that can be configured as a void or reservoir for the first cosmetic means used by the first cosmetic module 34a. The upper body 32a defines a substantially longitudinal inner space that mainly houses the second cosmetic module 34b and means for moving the second cosmetic module relative to the first.
[0032] Similar to the multi-module cosmetic applicator 10, in the present solution the first cosmetic module 34a preferably has a small width-to-length ratio and extends significantly to the internal space 32d and constitutes a wick for the first cosmetic agent. For example, the cosmetic module 14a may have the shape of a graphite pencil, which has a generally cylindrical cross-section and has a considerable length. In it, the cosmetic module 34a extends over the entire length of the housing 32 and extends over a portion extending beyond the proximal end of the housing 32 to form a user-accessible portion 35a.
[0033] On the contrary, the second cosmetic module 34b comprises a second cosmetic agent and preferably has a greater width-to-length ratio than the first cosmetic module 34a. For example, the second cosmetic module 34b has a lipstick shape that has a generally cylindrical cross section and is relatively shorter than the first cosmetic module.
[0034] The cosmetic module 34b is located around the cosmetic module 34a, and thus includes a longitudinal channel 34c that houses the first cosmetic module 34a. The channel 34c extends longitudinally through the second cosmetic module 34b and can have any suitable cross-sectional shape that allows the cosmetic module 34b to move freely relative to the first cosmetic module. In this way, it should be noted that the channel 34c has a circumferential clearance around the cosmetic module 34a. In one embodiment of the invention, the cosmetic module 34a is anchored at the distal end of the body 32b.
[0035] Using a bolted assembly (as will be shown below), the second cosmetic module is selectively displaced relative to the first cosmetic module from its resting position in the housing 32 (Fig. 3a) so that the part 35b accessible to the user of any length , the second cosmetic module 14b extends beyond the distal end of the housing (Fig. 3b).
[0036] Herein, for example, the cosmetic module 34a may be a lip liner that has a diameter much smaller than the second cosmetic module 34b, such as lip gloss. The first cosmetic modules can be a solid, semi-solid or waxy product, such as an eye pencil, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, lip balm, eyebrow liner, concealer, foundation, blush, etc.
[0037] To move the second cosmetic module, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 30 includes a screw assembly 32. The screw assembly 36 includes a sleeve 36a that houses a second cosmetic module 34b and a plug 36b having a screw guide 36c and a cylinder 36d having a channel 36e.
[0038] The upper portion of the plug 36b fits the upper housing body 32a, while the lower portion comprising approximately half the cylinder 36c is located in the lower housing body 32b. In the present body 32b is rotatable with respect to body 32a and rotates with the screw assembly 36. In this way, in essence, the lower part of the cosmetic applicator rotates, while the upper part of the body remains stationary and the cosmetic module is moved longitudinally.
[0039] The sleeve 36a further includes spaced apart pins 36f that slide in the guide 36c and are keyed to the body 32a in an inner circumferential groove located on the body 32a. The guide 36c is located in the inner surface of the sleeve and is shaped to have a helical surface. By rotating the lower housing body 32b, the sleeve twists and moves relative to the axis of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 30.
[0040] Referring to Figures 5 and 6, in a second embodiment of the present invention, the multi-module cosmetic applicator comprises a first cosmetic module and a second cosmetic module that is movable relative to the first cosmetic module from a rest position to an extended position by the button and spring assembly.
[0041] In the present Figures 5a and 5b are front perspective views of a multi-module cosmetic applicator 50 in accordance with one embodiment of the invention in which certain parts of the housing are shown as transparent. Figures 6a-6c are respectively a right side view of a multi-module cosmetic applicator
50, with a front view of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 10 and the multi-module applicator applicator with a cross-section of the cosmetic 50 taken along the line A-A in Fig. 6b [0042] Preferably, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 50 is made of plastic, metal and / or thermoplastic elastomers, rubber , produced using blow molding and assembled by a snap assembly. However, any other material, method of manufacture and / or assembly can be used. It is particularly desirable to make certain parts of the housing from anodized plastics to give them an exclusive and refined look.
[0043] The multi-module cosmetic applicator 50 may include a cap not shown and a casing 52. The cap, if used, is preferably matched so that it overlaps a significant portion of the upper casing 52.
[0044] The housing defines a substantially longitudinal inner space that houses the first cosmetic module 54a, the second cosmetic module 54b, a spring which, in connection with the button, moves the second cosmetic module relative to the first cosmetic module.
[0045] Housing 52 is preferably designed to have an attractive shape and is ergonomically designed to fit in the user's hand. The ergonomic design can contain any desired shape that is considered beneficial.
[0046] Housing 52 includes a proximal opening 52a adapted to insert both the first cosmetic module 54a and the second cosmetic module 54b through such an opening, and a distal opening 52b in which the button is located (discussed later in this section).
[0047] The first cosmetic module 54a preferably has a small width-to-length ratio and is anchored to the distal opening 52b. For example, the cosmetic module 54a may have the shape of a graphite pencil, which has a generally cylindrical cross-section and has a considerable length. In it, the cosmetic module 54a extends over a portion of the length of the housing.
[0048] On the contrary, the second cosmetic module 54b comprises a second cosmetic agent and preferably has a greater width-to-length ratio than the first cosmetic module 54a. For example, the second cosmetic module 54b has a lipstick shape that has a generally cylindrical cross section and is relatively shorter than the first cosmetic module.
[0049] The cosmetic module 54b is located around the cosmetic module 54a, and thus includes a longitudinal channel 54c that houses the first cosmetic module 54a. The channel 54c extends longitudinally through the second cosmetic module 54b and can have any suitable cross-sectional shape that allows the cosmetic module 54b to move freely relative to the first cosmetic module. In this way, it should be noted that the channel 54c has a circumferential clearance around the cosmetic module 54a.
[0050] Using the button and spring assembly (as will be shown later in the present), the second cosmetic module is selectively displaced relative to the first cosmetic module from its resting position in the housing 52 (Fig. 5a) so that the part 55b accessible to the user, by any length, the second cosmetic module 54b extends beyond the distal end of the housing (Fig. 5b).
[0051] Herein, for example, the cosmetic module 54a may be a lip liner that has a diameter much smaller than the second cosmetic module 54b, such as lip gloss. The first cosmetic modules can be a solid, semi-solid or waxy product, such as an eye pencil, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, lip balm, eyebrow liner, concealer, foundation, blush, etc.
[0052] To move the second cosmetic module, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 50 includes a button 56a, spring 56b and sleeve 56c. The spring 56b is pressed against the sleeve 56c. The sleeve 56c is substantially cylindrical and holds the bottom of the second cosmetic module 54b. The button 56a is pressed against the sleeve at the bottom edge of the sleeve or is integral with the sleeve, while the spring 56b is pressed against the sleeve at the upper edge of the sleeve. The spring 56a is pressed at the proximal edge against the peripheral periphery of the opening 52a. A substantially cylindrical guide 56d is held at the bottom of the housing 52 to limit the displacement of the button by engaging with the proximal button projection.
[0053] When the button is pressed by the user, the second cosmetic module moves relative to the first cosmetic module, using a button such as is known, for example, in a pen.
[0054] Referring to the embodiments of Figures 1-6, the first cosmetic module, the internal module, comprises and supplies a liquid cosmetic agent. A liquid cosmetic agent can be, but is not limited to, skin care serum, lotions, solutions, sunscreen preparations, self-tanning agents, illuminating preparations, preparations, color, preparations that contain film-forming agents that improve anti-aging attributes that have anti-perspirant properties; rubefacient (tonic), cosmetic dyes, optical brighteners, shiny or fluorescent materials, required for additional visual effects.
[0055] To provide a cosmetic agent, the cosmetic module may contain suitable natural and synthetic base materials that include, but are not limited to, cotton, linen, silk or polyesters, rayon, acrylics, acetates, lyocell (tencel). Such liquid impregnated triacetates, polyolefins and base materials can be a cosmetic agent for subsequent administration when using the first cosmetic module. Highly absorbent base materials are preferred.
[0056] In one or more embodiments of the invention regarding the embodiments of Figures 1, 2, 5 and 6, the first cosmetic module, internal module, instead of containing and administering a liquid cosmetic agent comprises and administers a solid, semi-solid or waxy cosmetic agent. In the present description, each of the embodiments of the invention includes a lifting mechanism that maintains a sufficient portion 15a or 55a accessible to the user of the cosmetic module, outside the housing.
[0057] Such a lifting mechanism may be automatic, such as a spring assembly or manual, where the user activates the first cosmetic module and moves it forward.
[0058] In one or more embodiments of the invention regarding Figures 1, 2, 5 or 6, or not associated therewith, the external cosmetic module may include and administer a liquid cosmetic agent. Thus, Figures 7 9 show another embodiment of the applicator that is not part of the present invention.
[0059]
In the present Figures 7a and 7b are perspective views of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 70. Figure 8 is a cross-sectional view of this multi-module cosmetic applicator and Figures 9a and 9b are top perspective views thereof.
[0060] The multi-module cosmetic applicator 70 may be constructed in substantially the same manner as outlined with respect to any of the previous examples to have means for the cosmetic, in the embodiment of the invention, and may move the second module herein of the cosmetic module 74b, relative to the first cosmetic module, in the present module Cosmetic 74a. The modules have dimensions that substantially allow the second cosmetic module 74b to move relative to the first module, and move the user accessible portion 75b outside the housing 72 to administer the second cosmetic agent. When the second cosmetic module 74b is in the resting position, the portion 75a accessible to the user of the cosmetic module 74a is located outside the housing to administer the first cosmetic agent.
[0061] Housing 72 preferably includes an interior space 73a, which may be a void space, or may be used as a reservoir for a second cosmetic agent. Herein, the inner space 73a is preferably sealed from each other tank. One or more flexible housing parts 73b are in fluid communication with the interior space 73a to fill the second cosmetic module with the second cosmetic agent.
[0062] In order for the cosmetic to allow beneficial administration of the agent, the proximal surface of the cosmetic module 74b has a plurality of openings 74c (Fig. 9a) as opposed to a smooth surface (Fig. 9b). Each of the cosmetic modules may vary in size to allow controlled delivery to different areas and allow variable dosing or gradual administration.
[0063] With reference to Figures 10, 11 and 12, another example of a multi-module cosmetic applicator not part of the present invention includes first, second and third cosmetic modules that are movable relative to each other and relative to the housing from a rest position to an extended position by one or more assemblies slider.
[0064] Here, the term "resting position" occurs when the cosmetic module is retracted in the housing, while the "extended position" occurs when a portion accessible to the user of any length, the second cosmetic module is extended outside the housing so that the user can place a cosmetic agent located in the cosmetic module on your body.
[0065] Although the embodiments of Figures 10, 11 and are illustrated in relation to three cosmetic modules, limiting the number of cosmetic modules and means for moving the cosmetic modules to two or increasing the number of cosmetic modules and means for moving the cosmetic modules to four (4 ) or more is also covered by this embodiment.
[0066] In the present Figures 10a and 10b are respectively the perspective view from the right and the perspective view from the left of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100. Figures 11a and 11b are respectively a partial transparent side view and a front perspective view of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100. Figures 12a-12e are, respectively, a right side view of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100, a partial transparent side view of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100, a partial transparent top view of the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100, a cross-sectional view of the two-part cosmetic applicator 100 taken along the line A-A of Fig. 12a, and a partial transparent view of a detail of area B of Fig. 12a.
[0067] Preferably, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100 is made of plastic, metal and / or thermoplastic elastomers, rubber, manufactured using blow molding, and mounted by a snap assembly. However, any other material, method of manufacture and / or assembly can be used. It is particularly desirable to make certain parts of the housing from anodized plastics to give them an exclusive and refined look.
[0068] The multi-module cosmetic applicator 100 includes a housing 112 having an upper body 112a and a lower body 112b that are permanently or movably connected by any known means. The upper body 112a defines a substantially longitudinal inner space 112c for one or more slider assemblies and cosmetic modules. The lower body 112b includes an internal space 112d adapted to receive portions of one or more cosmetic modules when in a resting position.
[0069] The inner space 112d may be a hollow space or may also contain one or more reservoirs, each of which may contain a different cosmetic agent or the same cosmetic agent, such as the agent presented in this application. If the cosmetic agent is a liquid, one or more reservoirs may be in fluid communication with one or more of the respective cosmetic modules.
[0070] The housing 112 is preferably designed to have an attractive shape and is ergonomically designed to fit in the hand of a user. The ergonomic design can contain any desired shape that is considered beneficial. As shown, the lower body 112b may have a shape such that it tapers to the tip, while the upper housing body 112a has a wider, fuller shape. The upper and lower bodies can be connected together by an annular portion 112e.
[0071] The upper housing body 112a includes an opening 112f adapted to insert a first cosmetic module 114a, a second cosmetic module 114b and a third cosmetic module 114c through such an opening. The opening 112f defines the proximal end of the housing 112, while the tip of the lower housing body 112b defines the distal end. The upper housing body 112a also includes essentially one or more longitudinally arranged notches in which the respective slider assembly 116 is mounted (which will be discussed later).
[0072] Each of the three cosmetic modules has a substantially elongated shape that when the module is at rest projects from the proximal end of the housing 112 through the inner space 112c to the inner space 112d at the distal end of the cosmetic module. In cross-section, each cosmetic module can have any shape. It can be beneficial for each cosmetic module to be part of a larger module; for example, a segment of a circle or part of a triangle. To enable smooth, independent movement, each cosmetic module is transversely spaced from the other. In this way, it should be noted that the opening 112f contains a peripheral clearance to make cosmetics.
enable movement of the modules [0073] Using the slider assembly (as will be shown later in this section), each cosmetic module is selectively displaced relative to other cosmetic modules from its resting position in the housing 112 so that the user-accessible part 115 of any length, one or more cosmetic modules extend beyond the distal end of the housing. When in the extended position, each of the cosmetic modules extends the portion beyond the proximal end of the housing 112 to provide a corresponding user accessible portion 115.
[0074] To move the cosmetic modules, the multi-module cosmetic applicator 100 includes one or more slider units 116. Each slider unit 116 may include a button 116a having a textured surface to provide a tactile response to the user. Each slider assembly 116 includes an arm 116b that connects to the sleeve 116c to hold one of the cosmetic modules.
[0075] When the user presses the slider assembly 116 through the button 116a longitudinally towards the opening and housing, the corresponding cosmetic module moves through 112f and the portion 115 is suitably positioned by the user.
