The subject of the invention is a door equipped with a leaf moving between closed and open positions, consisting of a large number of segments rotatably connected to each other in relation to parallel horizontal axes, a door leaf built into the door leaf with a rotation axis perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation of the wing segments gates, consisting of pivotally connected segments parallel to the gate leaf segments, while in the closed position of the gate, the door leaf is embedded in a door recess made in the gate wing and placed in the plane of the gate leaf, and equipped with a stabilizing device preventing deformation of the door leaf and with safety elements typical for this type of door.
[0002] Gates equipped with wings consisting of a large number of segments rotatably connected to each other in relation to parallel axes are used as garage and industrial gates, closing the entrances to garages and production halls. In both cases, the gate leaf in the closed position is positioned approximately vertically, while in the open position it is positioned approximately in the horizontal plane. The gate leaf in the range between the closed and open positions is guided by rail guides consisting of a straight vertical section parallel to the gate leaf in the closed position, a horizontal straight section parallel to the gate leaf in the open position and an arc section connecting both straight section. In order to allow the gate leaf to move along the arch section, its segments are rotatably connected to each other perpendicular to the guides.
[0003] When a person inside a room enclosed by a gate of this kind wants to go outside, an industrial gate with a width of 5m or more must open the entire height from the closed position to the fully open position. This not only significantly increases the load on mechanical components, but also significantly increases the opening time. To solve this problem, a door leaf built into the door leaf is used, with the axis of rotation perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the segments, directed in the closed position of the gate in the direction of gravity. This type of reduced exit allows you to leave the room without having to fully open the gate. It is only required to open the door leaf built into the gate leaf. However, in order to allow the entire gate to open, the door leaf also, like the gate, consists of many segments rotatably connected to each other in line with the axes of rotation of the gate leaf segments.
[0004] In the gates described above, the gate leaf, together with the built-in door leaf, in the fully open position, i.e. when horizontal, cannot hang in a direction perpendicular to the plane of this wing. When closing the gate, it must also be ensured that the gate leaf elements arranged on both sides of the door leaf do not move away from each other in the direction of the axis of rotation. This problem is particularly important in the case of industrial gates, which use driving devices located on both sides of the wing connected by means of tendons with the lower (in closed position) segments. In constructions of this type, the pulls pulling the side edges of the sash may cause a tendency to expand elements placed on both sides of the door leaf in the direction of the rotation axis.
[0005] In the prior art solutions of this type, the required stability is achieved by means of stabilizing elements made in the form of door frames in which the door leaf is mounted, attached to adjacent door leaf segments. The frame element forming the lower section of the frame is attached to the lower frame section of the lower segment of the gate leaf. Thanks to this solution, a sufficient stability of the entire structure is achieved by means of the bottom element of the gate segment, extending along the entire width of the gate and by means of the bottom frame section. However, the lower segment of the gate leaf and the lower section of the frame frame together create a threshold that hinders passage. For this reason, the gates of the structure described above, equipped with a built-in door leaf, cannot be used on escape routes.
[0006] WO 01/05543 describes a solution to this problem for typical recessed doors in a gate wing, in which a door wing embedded in the gate wing in the closed position of the gate reaches the floor, thereby eliminating the threshold creating an obstacle. The required stability of the gate structure in the open position and during closing is obtained in this known solution by means of a stabilizing device made in the form of a lock, which in the gate open position immobilizes the door leaf relative to the neighboring elements of the gate leaf structure. For this purpose, the gate is equipped with a bolt mounted slidably in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the segments, located in the bottom part of the frame or door leaf, which in the locking position is inserted into the appropriate hole made in the door frame or door leaf. The stabilizing device for this gate known from the prior art is additionally equipped with a locking element rotatably mounted relative to the axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the segments, which when pushing the bolt into the hole is pressed in the lateral direction, with the end of the locking element forming the latch overlapping the edge of the stop socket made in the door or gate segment and clicks into place with this socket. Thanks to this solution, the movement in the horizontal direction of the elements of the open door leaf, located in the main plane, on both sides of the door leaf is eliminated, preventing the formation of the above-described gap between the door leaf and the frame or adjacent door elements when opening or closing the door.
[0007] US 5,673,740 A describes a roller door equipped with a recessed door leaf, in which the bottom edge of the door leaf is equipped with a stabilizing bar.
[0008] In the publication "Turen und Turzubehór, DIN 18024 Teil 2 vom November 1996" ("Door and door equipment, DIN 18024 part 2 from November 1996") by Beuth Verlag GmbH, XP 55038108, volume 3, pp. 44 to 47 it is stated that the maximum height of the threshold or bottom door rebate, if their use is necessary, may be 2cm.
[0009] EP 1 375 798 A1 discloses an articulated mechanism by means of which door leaf segments are connected with elements of a sectional door.
[0010] DE 1 659 585 describes sectional doors equipped with floor seals, wherein the fixing section of the floor seal is embedded in an open channel located between the lateral edges of another channel. The side boundary walls of the channel are inclined. [0011] US 2002/0046494 A1 describes a non-contact device for securing the closing edge of a sectional door.
[0012] When using the gates described in WO 01/055543, however, it turned out that despite the security measures described, when opening and closing the gate leaf while maintaining the clearance of the bolt and locking element necessary for correct operation, a noticeable gap is created between the door leaf and adjacent with this wing elements of the gate, and in addition, the gate leaf hangs above the allowable tolerance in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the gate leaf. To remedy this problem, it is proposed in WO 01/055543 that the locking device stabilizing the structure is equipped with at least one additional locking element arranged in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the segments, preferably moving parallel to the axis of rotation of the door leaf. This solution can eliminate the formation of the above-described gap, however, it causes a significant increase in construction costs. [0013] Due to the problems mentioned in prior art solutions, the object of the invention is to provide a gate structure of this type that is easy to make, which meets the requirements for escape routes and ensures adequate stability of the wing.
[0014] The object of the invention is achieved in the structure shown in the characterizing part of claim 1.
[0015] The basis for developing the invention is the knowledge that in prior art gates such deformations of the leaf in a direction perpendicular to this leaf and deformations formed due to the expansion of the door segments adjacent to the recess in which the door leaf is mounted can be eliminated by means of separate elements of a stabilizing device, however, only the element of the stabilizing device preventing the sash from hanging in the perpendicular direction to the door plane must be located in the area of the bottom edge of the door recess, while the spreading effect of the elements of the door leaf adjacent to this recess can also be eliminated by means of the stabilizing element located above the recess, and in the simplest case even with the help of the upper gate leaf segment alone. Deformation in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the gate leaf can also be effectively eliminated by means of a stabilizing element made in the form of a threshold, which only has sufficient expansion and stability in the direction of bending, whereas in the direction of the axis of rotation perpendicular to the direction of bending, the height of the threshold may be small, because stabilization in in this direction an additional element is placed over the recess, in which the door leaf is mounted. As a result, it is possible to make a threshold less than 20 mm high, preferably less than 10 mm, especially less than 8 mm, and even 5 mm or less, located in the region of the edge parallel to the axis of rotation of the segments. The low threshold height enables the use of an door embedded in the gate leaf according to the invention.
[0016] In order to provide the required stability in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the gate leaf, the width of the threshold in this direction is greater than the thickness of the leaf. This width in the solution according to the invention is over
150% of the gate leaf thickness, preferably more than 200% of this thickness, particularly preferably more than 250%, especially 300% or more, the threshold being placed along the entire thickness of the gate wing, thanks to which greater stability of the structure is obtained and the excessive threshold protruding beyond wing area. Due to the trade-off between stability and costs and space requirements, the threshold width should not exceed 350%, preferably 300% of the gate leaf thickness.
In order to achieve the required stability, the width of the threshold, regardless of the thickness of the gate leaf, may be at least 60mm or more, the recommended dimension is 80mm or more, preferably 100mm or more, particularly preferably 120mm or more, especially 140mm or more.
In order to maintain bending rigidity in a direction parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation of the axis and in the seating of the sealing element mounted under the bottom edge of the gate leaf, in a particularly preferred solution according to the invention a threshold made at least partly of material with a tensile strength greater than 120 N / mm2, preferably greater than 370 N / mm2, particularly preferably greater than 540 N / mm2, in the area of at least one of the edges parallel to the horizontal axis, it is curled inwards, forming a cavity for the seating of the sealing element. A compromise solution that balances strength requirements on the one hand, and reduces production costs on the other, is to make a threshold from a material with a tensile strength of less than 1000 N / mm2, especially less than 900 N / mm2, preferably less than 750 N / mm2, the tensile strength range between is particularly preferred
540 N / m2 and 750 N / m2.
[0019] In addition, the threshold may be provided with a channel for seating the sealing element fastening section, positioned between the side edges of this threshold, parallel to the horizontal axis and open downwards in the closed position.
[0020] In order to eliminate the edge that passing people could stumble over, the side walls of this channel are inclined downwards towards the side edges of the threshold, in the closed position these walls preferably form an angle less than 60 ° with the horizontal plane.
[0021] In all the solutions of the invention, due to the elimination of the edge that passing people could stumble over, the total threshold height is not more than 22mm, preferably less than 12mm, particularly preferably less than 10mm, especially 7mm or less, also in in cases where, due to the greater overall height, this threshold is equipped with inclined walls to prevent tripping.
[0022] In the gate of the invention, the threshold is made at least in part from a material with high tensile strength, for example steel with a thickness of 3mm or less, preferably 2mm or less, additionally provided with bends or stabilizing embossing. The scope of the invention also includes thresholds made of other materials, for example laminates, glass fiber reinforced plastic or Kevlar, or combined with steel. Using steel with a thickness of 3mm or less, especially with a thickness of 2mm or less, it is possible to make thresholds equipped with a channel for seating the sealing element not exceeding excessive height. If a sealing element is not necessary or the sealing element can be placed on the lower surface of the threshold without the need for a channel, it is possible to use thresholds made of a material with a thickness of 7mm or less, preferably 6mm or less, particularly preferably 5mm or less. In this case, it is advisable to use a 5mm thick material.
As already mentioned, for the tightness of the gate in the closed position, it is expedient that in the lower area, in the closed position of the gate, the threshold surface be seated parallel to the horizontal axis, preferably along the entire width of the gate wing, a sealing element. The sealing element may advantageously be provided with a fastening section embedded at least partially in the threshold channel and with at least one, preferably at least two, sealing lips which are opposed to each other and oblique. Particularly good tightness is obtained when at least one edge of at least one sealing lip, opposite to the fixing section, is in the closed position of the gate at least partially bent upwards, because this edge, when the threshold is laid on the ground, is pressed against the bottom surface of this threshold, creating an effective seal between the threshold and the ground. Due to the use of safety devices in the solution according to the invention, it is particularly advantageous to provide the sealing element with a cable channel, located in particular in the area of the fastening section. This channel is open upwards and positioned parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation of the gate leaf segments. A cable connecting individual elements of the gate safety device according to the invention is laid in the cable duct.
[0024] After the gate leaf has reached the closed position, the sealing lips of the sealing element bend upwards relative to the fastening section. Excessive wear of the sealing element due to bending is eliminated when at least one sealing lip is connected to the fastening section by means of a weakening forming a bending line made of material of reduced thickness.
[0025] The required stability is obtained especially in the solution in which the threshold is attached to the bottom, in the closed position of the gate, edges of the wing segments adjacent to the door recess, parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation. Due to the fact that individual door leaf segments are the same in series production, irrespective of their subsequent use, a particularly advantageous solution according to the invention is to provide the door with a fixing element mounted on one side on the lower edge of one of the wing segments and connected to the upper on the other the surface of the threshold. For example, glue is used for joining, or a form joint can be used, for example with screws. The combination of these two joints is particularly advantageous, for example the additional use of a form joint.
[0026] In the earlier part of the text, it has already been mentioned that in cross-section a plane perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation of the segments, the width of the threshold is greater than the thickness of the gate wing. With the correct construction of the gate according to the invention, it should be avoided that a person passing through the closed gate, who enters the threshold, is pulled up by the opening wing of the gate. Therefore, in a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the fastening element is equipped with an upper limiting surface inclined downwards obliquely from the outer surface of the leaf to the outer edge of the threshold, or an upper inclined surface obliquely downwards from the closed position of the door the inner surface of the leaf to the inner edge of the threshold, wherein at least one of the limiting surfaces in the closed position of the gate forms with the horizontal plane an angle of 10 ° or more, preferably 15 ° or more, particularly preferably 20 ° or more. Thanks to this solution, the foot on the fastening element according to the invention slides off this element, not finding a stable support, so that the risk of a passing person being thrown up is eliminated.
[0027] Typical cross-sections of gate elements whose construction is stable and which are additionally equipped with finger protection systems are known, for example, from publications EP 304 362 and EP 370 376. The content of these publications in the scope of cross-sections of typical gate leaf elements or panels with a plane perpendicular to The horizontal axis of rotation is introduced to this description by explicit reference to the source text. In typical door leaf segments, in the area of the lower edge of the segment, there is a recess in which the projection made in the upper edge of the adjacent panel is inserted. Due to the stability of the structure, which is the object of the invention, the fastening element is provided with a projection parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation, embedded in a pit open downwards made in the lower edge of the wing segment. An additional stabilizing effect is obtained when the fastening element is equipped with a recess for the projection located at the lower edge of the gate leaf segment, formed between the wall adjacent to the inner surface of the gate leaf and the projection.
[0028] As already mentioned, the door leaf consists of a number of segments connected by axes arranged coaxially with horizontal rotation axes.
[0029] Due to the production technology, in a particularly advantageous solution according to the invention, the door segments in cross-section with the plane perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation have a shape similar to the door leaf segments. In this case, usually between the bottom edge of the door leaf and the threshold there is a gap corresponding to the height of the fixing element. Tightly closed in the area of the lower edge of the door is achieved when the lower, in the closed position of the gate, door leaf segment is equipped with a transition element, which in the closed position of the door is located between the lower door segment and the threshold. The transition element can be equipped with a seal that adheres to the threshold surface in the closed position. In order to obtain an effective seal, this seal is provided with a sealing element adhering in the closed position of the door to the front surface of the threshold or a sealing element adhering in the closed position of the door to the upper surface of the threshold.
In order to obtain the required aesthetics of the door according to the invention and due to the risk described above occurring with the foot step on the door threshold, in a particularly advantageous solution according to the invention the shape of the transition element, at least in the area of the outer surface of the gate wing, is a cross-section plane perpendicular to horizontal axis of rotation similar to the shape of the fastener, i.e. it is equipped with an upper surface inclined downwards towards the outer edge of the threshold, with an additional upper surface inclined obliquely towards the inner edge of this threshold. Additionally or alternatively, the color of the transition element and the fastening element is selected appropriately, in a particularly preferred way, it is black, chosen to match the colors of seals available on the market. In each case, the transition element is embedded in the recess made in the lower edge of the lower segment of the gate leaf.
As already mentioned in the previous part of the text, the threshold protects the gate leaf according to the invention against bending in a plane perpendicular to the plane of this wing. For this purpose, the gate wing stabilizing assembly is equipped with at least one stabilizing element located above the door recess, strengthening this recess. In a particularly simple solution according to the invention, the stabilizing element is formed by a door segment directly above the door recess. In order to maintain the required rigidity, the stabilizing element is provided with a vertical, closed position of the gate, a surface which in a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention is a flat wall made of a material with high tensile strength.
[0032] In the case where the upper segment of the gate leaf is provided with a cut-out forming part of the door recess, whereby this segment does not provide sufficient structural stability, in a particularly advantageous solution according to the invention an additional stabilizing element is mounted in the gate leaf segment located above the door recess or on the inner surface of the leaf segment located above this recess. This additional stabilizing element can be made in the form of an open channel from the side of the gate leaf segment, equipped with a bottom, which when the gate is closed will be arranged in a vertical plane, while for fastening on the gate leaf this channel is equipped with flange slats bent outwards.
[0033] When using an electric gate operator, safeguards should be used which, if the lower edge of the closing wing collides with an obstacle or a person in its path, immediately deactivate the operator. For this purpose, typical gates are equipped with closing force limiters, which when the specified threshold load is exceeded, automatically switch off the drive. However, due to the inertia of the gate leaf, this deactivation occurs with a certain delay. The section of the road caused by this delay is compensated in typical gates by a properly selected seal mounted on the bottom edge of the gate leaf. In the gate according to the invention, however, seals with a small height are used, the lower edge of the gate wing when closing may hit the obstacle with the surface of the threshold unprotected by a sealing element. In this case, despite the limitation of propulsion force, such an impact may cause injury or material damage.
[0034] In the case of a gate equipped with a leaf moving between closed and open positions, consisting of a large number of segments rotatably connected to each other in relation to parallel axes, the danger of impact can be eliminated by another advantageous solution according to the invention, in which the gate is equipped with a device safety devices for non-contact detection of persons or objects in the path of movement of the closing edge of the wing. [0035] By means of a safety device, the path in front of the closing edge of the gate leaf is continuously monitored without contact. Thanks to this solution, the drive is disconnected before the edge of the door makes contact with an object or a person in the light of the passage. This type of safety device can be used not only for doors equipped with a built-in door leaf, but also for typical gates without a door leaf. However, the use of such protections is expedient especially in the gates of the invention with a built-in door leaf, in which the lower threshold is equipped with a thin seal.
[0036] The gate safety device according to the invention is preferably equipped with at least one transmitter emitting a contactless transmitted signal in a direction approximately parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation and at least one receiver receiving a signal sent by this transmitter, the transmitter and the receiver being preferably arranged in the area of opposite side edges of the leaf segment, especially on the gate leaf itself. When closing the gate, the safety signal is preferably emitted in front of the closing edge, in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of the leaf, allowing persons and objects to be detected before they come into contact with the closing closing edge.
In the gates according to the invention, in which the threshold width measured in a direction perpendicular to the wing surface is greater than the thickness of the wing, it is expedient to use the solution according to the invention in which the transmitter emits two or more signal paths parallel to the horizontal axis to increase safety rotation, positioned relative to each other in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the wing. With the help of this type of security devices, a signal mesh is created that forms a detection area in front of the threshold and moves along with that threshold, whereby interruption of only one of the signal paths of the mesh causes a signal to stop the gate drive.
[0038] Because of the production costs and taking into account the need to create a signal grid, in a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention at least two signal paths are fed from a common transmitter. This solution is possible with the use of appropriate reflecting elements arranged in the area of opposite side wings. Since it is necessary to ensure the reliable operation of the safety device, it is expedient to use at least two transmitters, each of these transmitters feeding at least one signal path. In both versions described above, due to the cost of production, it is expedient to provide a solution in which at least two signal paths is assigned one common element of the receiver. [0039] In the series production of gates according to the invention, it is possible to manufacture and fix transmitters and receivers with limited accuracy. Also during the movement of the gate leaf, especially equipped with a built-in door leaf, slight deformations of the entire structure should be taken into account. Under such boundary conditions, a reliable operation of the safety device can be ensured if the emitter emits a conical beam with an apex angle greater than 2 °, preferably 5 ° or more, while the transmitter's power can be kept low while maintaining the effectiveness of the device when the apex angle is no more than 20 °, preferably not more than 10 °, especially 8 ° or less.
[0040] As already mentioned, when closing the gate, the sash, and thus the lower closing edge of this sash, overcomes the hatch section between the straight horizontal section and the straight vertical section. In garage doors, especially with a total height of up to 2.5 m, it is necessary to eliminate the possibility of closing edge contact with persons or objects also on this section. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, therefore, at least one transmitter element, e.g. a ray source or reflecting element, or at least one receiver element, e.g. a photodiode or reflecting element. Thanks to this solution, the pivotally mounted transmitter or receiver rotates with respect to the edge of the gate wing when traveling through the arch section and is positioned along with the edge of the wing in a vertical plane at virtually every point on the track. To limit the angle of rotation of the transmitter or receiver element, in a particularly advantageous solution according to the invention, the articulated brackets of these elements are equipped with bumpers limiting the rotational movement of the transmitter elements or receiver elements so that the pivotally mounted element when closing the gate at least along the part of the closing edge of the gate wing is placed in vertical plane below this edge.
[0041] For safety reasons, it is expedient that the articulated bracket and the transmitter or receiver element mounted on this bracket are located on the inner surface of the gate leaf, so that when the gate is in the closed position, access to these elements is not possible. In the preferred solution according to the invention, the required arrangement of the elements of the transmitter or the receiver fixed to the articulated brackets and the closing edge of the wing in a common vertical plane can be obtained when the bracket is equipped with a lever mounted on the wing rotatably in relation to the axis parallel to the horizontal axis, especially on the inner surface of this wing, in the area of the closing edge, the lever in at least one angular position covers the closing edge of the gate leaf. For this purpose, the articulated support lever is provided with two or more segments located in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation, forming an angle of less than 180 °, preferably forming a straight line.
[0042] As already mentioned, the pivoting movement of the articulated support can be limited by means of bumpers so that the support does not deviate too far from the closing edge of the gate leaf and that the element of the transmitter or receiver mounted on this support is placed in a vertical plane common with the closing edge on the arched section of the track. However, due to such a restriction, the articulated support could only deviate to a limited extent after reaching the floor of the room closed by the gate or upon finding an object lying on this floor. This situation can damage the articulated support, objects lying on the floor, or even injure people on the sash. This danger can be reduced if at least two segments of the lever of the articulated bracket are rotatably connected to each other in relation to an axis parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation, the rotation of the lever segments being limited by means of an additional stop. The articulated support segments also rotate relative to each other during rotation. Thanks to this solution, the bracket in the last phase of closing the gate is shortened in the opposite direction to the direction of movement, so that the rotational movement limited by the bumpers is sufficient to ensure the safe operation of the gate safety device according to the invention and the possibility of damage to objects and persons is eliminated in the floor area.
[0043] Damage to the transmitter, receiver and reflecting elements of the door according to the invention can easily be eliminated if the articulated bracket pivotally mounted on the wing is provided with a housing for at least one transmitter element, at least one receiver element or at least one reflecting element. Such housing protects the elements of the safety device without affecting their functionality. In order to obtain the required effective function of securing the area against the door leaf threshold, it is beneficial if the housing is placed on an articulated bracket segment pivotally mounted on an adjacent segment attached to the gate leaf. In order to ensure efficiency when using a signal grid consisting of two or more parallel beams or signal paths, in a preferred embodiment of the invention the housing is equipped with two or more signal-permeable windows.
[0044] The gate safety device according to the invention may be characterized by a compact design in which the end of the lever segment opposite to the axis of rotation is pivotally connected to the lever segments mounted directly on the gate wing and is positioned relative to the segments in a direction parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation. Thanks to this solution, the displaced segment of the articulated support is in the closed position of the gate next to the gate leaf.
[0045] As already mentioned, after closing the gate the safety device element is tilted to the inside of the closed room, the bracket itself is made so as to allow deviation in the opposite direction of the wing in case of encountering an obstacle during the final phase closing movement.
[0046] The gate safety device according to the invention is characterized in that it is equipped with a transmitter element and a receiver element mounted on an articulated bracket rotatably mounted on the gate wing, whereby the transmitter element can be made in the form of a light source, while the receiver element can be made in in the form of a photodiode, the articulated bracket forming a lever consisting of two or more articulated segments.
[0047] The invention is explained on the basis of a drawing containing important details of the solution not exactly described in the description. The following figures of the drawing show:

[0048] The door leaf 10 shown in Fig. 1 consists of segments, the lower segments 12 and 14 in Fig. 1 being placed one above the other and the door leaf 100 embedded in the door leaf 10, equipped inter alia in segments 102 and 104, also arranged in fig. 1 above each other. Gate segments 12 and 14, like door segments 102 and 104, are pivotally connected to each other by means of hinges 30 or axis 20.
[0049] The lower edge of the door recess made in the door leaf 10 in which the door leaf 100 is mounted is limited by a threshold 50 fixed to the lower edges of the door segments 12 arranged opposite each other on the sides of the recess. In the solution according to Fig. 1, the threshold 50 is attached to the segments 12 by means of fastening elements 40, which on one side are connected to the upper surface of the threshold 50, and on the other hand to the lower surface of the gate segment 12. In the solution according to Fig. 1, the distance between the bottom edge of the door segment 102 and the threshold 50 is covered by the transition element 140.
[0050] The width B of the threshold 50 shown in Fig. 2 measured in a direction perpendicular to the gate plane is greater than the thickness D of the gate leaf measured in the same direction. In the solution according to the invention shown in the drawing, the width B of the threshold is 123.5 mm, while the thickness D of the wing is 42 mm. The scope of the invention, however, also includes thresholds of a smaller or larger width and wings of varying thickness. In the solution according to Fig. 2, the threshold covers the entire thickness of the sash and protrudes beyond the sash outline both from the inside of the room and from the outside.
[0051] The edges 52 of the threshold 50 parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation 20 are folded inside this threshold to increase the stability of the structure and to create a cavity 60 in which a sealing element 70 fixed to the bottom surface of the threshold 50 is placed.
[0052] The sealing member 70 consists of a sealing section 72 and four sealing lips 74 and 76, both of the two inner sealing lips 74 and the two outer sealing lips 76 being inclined downwards in opposite directions with respect to each other. The ends 78 of the lips 76 located opposite the fastening section 72 are bent outwards and upwards to increase the sealing efficiency when the threshold is pressed against the ground. The attachment section 72 of the sealing element 70 extending along the entire width of the wing parallel to the axis of rotation of the segments is embedded in a downwardly open channel 54, centrally located between the edges 52 along the entire width of the threshold 50, also parallel to the axis of rotation of the segments. The side walls 56 of the channel 54 are inclined towards the side edges 52 of the threshold 50, with the example plane shown in the drawing forming an angle α of approximately 45 ° with the horizontal plane. The height h of the threshold in the area of side edges 52 is approximately 5 mm in the solution according to the drawing. The total height H of the threshold in the area of the channel 54 in this solution is about 7 mm. The depth T of cavity 60 is approximately 3 mm.
[0053] The threshold 50 in the exemplary embodiment of the invention shown in Fig. 2 is made of steel sheet approximately 2 mm thick. This threshold extends along the entire width of the gate (Fig. 1).
[0054] Fig. 4 shows a complementary or alternative to the sealing member 70, sealing member 70 'provided with a central attachment section 72' and two sealing lips 76 'inclined in opposite directions, the ends 78' of these lips opposite the attachment section 72 ' are bent up. Sealing lips 76 'are connected to the securing section 72' by means of weaknesses 77 'forming a bending line made of a thinner material. An open channel 73 'is arranged in the upper surface of the fixing section 72' in which the electric wire 80 can be laid.
[0055] In the solution according to Figures 1 and 2, the threshold 50 is attached to the gate segment 12 by means of a fixing element 40 connected on one side to the upper surface of the threshold 50 and on the other to the bottom edge of the gate segment 12. In order to achieve the required stability a projection 42 located on the upper edge of the fixing element 40 is embedded in the recess 12a of the gate segment 12. The projection 12b downwards from the bottom edge of the gate leaf segment 12 is embedded in a recess formed between the wall element 44 adjacent to the surface of this segment and the projection 42. In the solution according to Fig. 2, the fixing element 40 is equipped with an upper surface 46, which, when the gate leaf is in the closed position, is inclined downwards towards the outer edge of the threshold 50, and an upper surface 48, which when the gate leaf is in the closed position inclined downwards towards the inner edge of the threshold 50. With the gate closed, the surface 46 forms an angle β of approximately 25 ° with the horizontal plane. The surface 48 forms an angle γ of about 20 ° with the horizontal plane. Due to the sloping surfaces 46 and 48, the foot slides off the fastening element, so that the danger of pulling a person standing on the fastening element 40 upwards when opening the gate leaf 10 is much less.
[0056] In the solution shown in Fig. 3, the cross-section of the lower door leaf segment 102 with a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of this segment is similar to the cross-section of the lower door leaf segment 12. The distance between the lower edge of the wing segment 102 and the threshold 50 is filled with a transition element 140, the shape of which in cross-section from the inner surface of the segment 102 towards the outer edge of the threshold 50 corresponds to the shape of the fixing element 40, i.e. a projection on the upper edge of the transition element 140 142 embedded in a recess 102a made in the bottom edge of the door leaf segment 102. A cavity 146 is formed between the wall element 144 adjacent to the inner boundary surface of the wing segment 102 and the projection 146, in which the downwardly projecting projection 102b is mounted, which is located in the area of the bottom edge of the wing segment 102. Like the fastening element 40, the transition element 140 is also equipped in the upper surface segment 146 inclined obliquely towards the outer edge of the threshold 50. Transition piece 140 is not attached to threshold 50 due to the expected movement of the opening sash. In order to ensure the required tightness of the gate leaf in the closed position, two sealing elements 172 and 174 are located in the area of the bottom surface of the transition element 140, the sealing element 172 in the closed position of the leaf adjoins the front surface of the threshold 50, while the sealing element 174 adheres to upper surface of threshold 50 formed by channel 54.
[0057] The wing segment 102 is made, like the wing segment 12, as a two-shell panel filled at least partly with insulating material, for example polyurethane foam, wherein the two shells of the panel are formally joined together in the area of rolled edge strips. The transition element 140, like the fixing element 40, is attached to the leaf segment 12 or 102 by means of screws not shown in the drawing located in the area of the folded edges of the panels. In order to adjust the position of the fixing element 40 or transition element 140 to the unevenness of the ground, the fixing holes are made as oblong holes made in the walls 44 or 144, the holes being arranged parallel to the axis of rotation of the door leaf perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the leaf segments.
[0058] In the solution according to Fig. 5, the gate stabilizing structure according to the invention can be provided with at least one stabilizing element 90 located above the upper edge of the cavity in which the door leaf 100 is mounted and reinforcing the cavity. The stabilizing element 90 is in the exemplary solution shown in Fig. 5 made of steel sheet with a thickness of about 2mm forming an open channel from the outer surface of the gate leaf 10. When the gate is in the closed position, the bottom of the channel 92 is in a vertical plane. The walls of the channel 94 are perpendicular to the bottom of the channel 92. Opposite the bottom of the channel 92, the edges of the walls 94 are bent outwardly, forming fastening flanges 96. Fastening screws that pass through the folded edges of the shells of the upper door section pass through the flange holes 96. The bottom of the channel 92 and the flanges 96 provide a particularly high resistance of the stabilizing element 90 to bending in the direction of gravity indicated by the arrow P in Fig. 5. In the exemplary embodiment of the invention the stabilizing element 90 is attached to the inner surface of the gate leaf 10. In this solution, the upper edge the recess in which the door leaf is embedded is formed by a cut-out made in the door segment located above the door. If an uncut door segment is positioned above the door recess, then this entire segment can be used as an additional stabilizing element. In the solution according to Fig. 5 it should also be noted that the stabilizing element 90 can be integrated with the door segment, thanks to which the parts of this door protruding into the room are eliminated.
[0059] The solution according to Fig. 1 shows a contactless safety device consisting of a transmitter 210 located on the right under the bottom edge of the bottom gate segment and a receiver 250 located on the left under the bottom edge of the bottom gate segment. The transmitter 210 is equipped with a light source, the receiver 250 is equipped with a photodiode. In the solution according to the invention shown in Fig. 1, the transmitter 210 is connected to the lower edge of the wing 12 by means of an articulated bracket 220, while the receiver 250 is connected to the lower edge of the gate wing 12 by means of an articulated bracket 260. In other solutions of the invention, it is possible to seat on the gate segment 12 only a reflecting element connected to this wing by means of a suitable support, while the transmitter and receiver, i.e. the light source and photodiode remain stationary. When a light source is used as a transmitter, the reflecting elements can be made in the form of ordinary mirrors. The security system used under the bottom edge of the sash should generate an acoustic signal and at the same time the receiver 250 transmits the appropriate electrical signal to the gate drive controller. The transmitter 210 shown in the embodiment of Figure 1 forms a signaling cone with an apex angle greater than 2 °. Thanks to this solution, the receiver 250 can receive signals from the transmitter 210 also when the gate wing is turned, provided that the beam of rays is not interrupted by an obstacle located on the wing's movement line.
[0060] The transmitter 210 and the receiver 250 are mounted on the gate leaf 210 by means of articulated supports 220, 260, rotatable with respect to an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of 20 segments of this wing. An exemplary embodiment of the articulated support 220 is shown in Fig. 6. The articulated bracket 220 is made in the form of a lever consisting of three segments 222, 224 and 226. The entire coupling lever 220 is mounted on the lower edge of the wing 10, rotatably about an axis 230 parallel to the axis of rotation of the 20 door segments. Lever segment 222 mounted directly on the wing is equipped with a bumper 231 limiting the angle of rotation of this segment in the direction from the bottom edge of the wing 10, marked with arrow S. Lever segment 222 forms with the adjacent segment 224 an angle α of approx. 130 °. Segments 222 and 224 are made as one element. Lever segment 226 is pivotally mounted relative to axis 232 parallel to the axis of rotation of 20 gate leaf segments at the end of segment 224 opposite to segment 222. Rotational movement of segment 226 relative to segment 224 is limited by a stop 234. In the solution of the invention shown in Fig. 6, the maximum the angle of rotation a 'of segment 226 relative to segment 224 is 110 °.
[0061] In Fig. 6, the gate 10 is in a near open position in which the segment 12 is almost horizontal. With this solution, thanks to the articulated connection with the gate leaf 10 obtained by means of the articulated support 220, the recess in which the transmitter 210 is mounted, located at the end of segment 226, opposite to segment 224, is set in the vertical plane S, together with the bottom edge fastener 40. The rotational movement of the segment 226 relative to the segment 224 in the direction of the arrow S 'is limited by the stop 234. When closing the gate, the articulated bracket 220 moves from the position shown in Fig. 6 to the position shown in Fig. 7, in which the lower segment of the wing 12 is already set in a vertical plane. To the position according to Fig. 7, the articulated bracket 220 rotates relative to the axis 230 under the influence of gravity. The rotation of the mechanism in the direction of the arrow S "is limited by the stop 236, so that the recess 228 in which the transmitter 210 is mounted, also in the position according to Fig. 7, is placed in a vertical plane, together with the bottom edge of the gate segment 12. When the gate is completely closed, the articulated bracket will move to the position shown in Fig. 8, with segment 222 rotating in the direction of arrow S in Fig. 6 and segment 226 will rotate with respect to segment 224 in the opposite direction of arrow S '. Thanks to the described possibilities of rotational movement, the articulated support can deflect after hovering on objects on the floor.
[0062] Figures 9 and 10 show another articulated support connecting the safety device to the gate leaf. In this embodiment, fig.9a) shows the articulated bracket in perspective view, fig.9b) the same mechanism in side view, fig.9c) articulated bracket in rear view and fig.9d) articulated bracket in bottom view. In the description of the solution according to Figures 9 and 10, the same symbols are used as for the elements according to Figures 6 and 7.
[0063] The solution of the articulated support shown in Figures 9 and 10 differs from that shown in Figures 6 and 7 mainly in that the lever segment 226 is made in the form of a housing in which the transmitter, reflecting element or receiver of the safety device is mounted.
[0064] From Figs. 9a) and 9b) it can be clearly seen that the segment 226 made in the form of a housing is provided with two windows 240 that allow the signal beam to enter the housing in a direction parallel to these windows and parallel to the axis of rotation of the gate leaf segments and output of these signals from the housing.
[0065] In Fig. 9d) the end of the segment 226 opposite the axis of rotation 232 is moved in the direction of the axis of rotation of the wing segments relative to the segment of the lever 222 mounted directly on the gate wing. Due to this solution, the lever segment 226 in the closed position is located next to the gate leaf (Fig. 10).
[0066] The pivot bracket shown in Figs. 9 and 10 is, like the pivot bracket in Figs. 6 and 7, mounted on the inner surface of the gate leaf by means of a fastening element 250 provided with three holes 252 for fastening screws.
[0067] Thanks to the arrangement of the safety device described, in each phase of the closing movement, especially during movement along the arch section of the wing guide, the transmitter 210 located under the bottom edge of the gate closing segment emits a conical signal that controls the path of the wing without contact.
[0068] The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawing. In many cases, the safety device may be equipped with an ultrasonic sensor. Other threshold dimensions are also allowed, which ensure that the required stiffness of the gate leaf structure in the direction of bending and perpendicular to the plane of the leaf is maintained. The door leaf itself can be embedded in the gate not centrally. It is also possible that the safety device according to the invention is used in up-and-over doors equipped with rigid leaves, roller doors, folding gates and the like.
