Description of the invention
The invention relates to a packet, in particular for cigarettes, having a body that has a bottom wall and a first wall and a lid that has a top wall and a second wall, the body and the lid pivotally connected to each other on a first side of the first wall and a first side of the second wall. wherein a gap is formed between the second sides of the first wall and the second sides of the second wall in the unpackaged condition of the package, a protective film is provided around the body and the lid, at least in the unpackaged state of the package, the protective film having a perforation in the region of the gap and at least in a certain region connected to the body and / or the lid, in particular glued or connected in a similar manner .
Moreover, the invention relates to a method for opening an unpackaged package as described above.
Known packages of this type have a body of cardboard or the like provided with cellophane as a protective coating. When the package is opened for the first time, the protective coating is broken with the tear strip and then the protective film that adheres to the lid and the tear strip are separated from the package.
The disadvantage of these packages is that the part of the protective film that adheres to the lid and the tear strip when the package is first opened are waste and must be disposed of.
US-A-5 192 262 discloses such a package for a cigarette box in which the protective cover has perforations which form a tear strip. The disadvantage of the device according to US-A-5 192 262 is that when the package is opened for the first time, the tear strip is separated from the outer casing and is obtained as waste.
The object of the invention is to provide a package, in particular for cigarettes of the kind mentioned at the outset, in which the body is protected by a protective sheath and in which no waste is obtained when first opened.
It is also an object of the invention to provide a method for opening unpackaged packaging, which prevents the formation of waste.
The object of the invention with regard to the packaging is solved in that in a packaging of the type described above, a lid has a cap in the area of the second sides of the second wall, which is inserted into the slot of the body opposite thereto, the cap being inserted into the slot in the closed state.
This has the advantage that the protective coating can be opened along the perforation without the protective coating having to be removed from parts such as the tear strip or the like. By combining the protective film with the body and / or the lid, it is ensured that the protective film moves with it when the lid is swung open as well as when it is closed. In addition to the perforation, the liner provides protection against unintentional opening of the package, so that packaging handling loads that could cause the package to open unintentionally can be absorbed by the liner.
In a further development of the invention, it is provided that the protective film is glued to the body and / or the lid by means of an adhesive at least over the entire length of the perforation, and in the unpackaged condition of the packaging, the adhesive seals the perforation openings. By combining the protective coating with the body and the lid at least over the entire area of the perforation, it can be ensured that in this region the protective coating does not separate from the lid and / or the body. Sealing the perforation with an adhesive simply ensures that no moisture can penetrate through the perforation openings.
Accordingly, according to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the adhesive is wax-like. With such a wax-like adhesive, a good perforation-tightness can be achieved in the package according to the invention in a simple manner and with low production costs, the protective film being easy to open along the perforation.
Preferably, the protective sheath is made in one piece from a foil, in particular from cellophane or the like. This embodiment variant enables simple and inexpensive production of the protective coating.
PL 203 987 B1
According to another feature of the invention, it is provided that - in a well-known manner - an insert is provided which, at least in the unpackaged state of the package, adheres to the body and the lid and that the insert is connected to the lid at least in a certain area, in particular glued or connected. in a similar way. In this way, the insert provides an additional protection for the items packed in the package according to the invention, also when the package according to the invention is first opened, it can be opened without waste.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the insert along the second perforation or the like has a closure area detachable from the rest of the insert and that the closure area is connected to the lid at least in a certain area. In this way, it can be ensured that the closure area remains attached to the packaging even after the remainder of the insert has been torn off.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the liner is pivoted upwards towards the lid. As a result, the lid can be strengthened when it is opened and closed repeatedly.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cover has at least one projection which engages with the opening of the cover. The cap may be fixed in the lid by means of a projection.
In a development of the invention, it is provided that the gap is formed by the first wall and the stiffening element. In this way, the slit can be produced without weakening the body.
According to another embodiment of the invention, it is provided that in the area of the gap, the cover plate is displaced relative to the second wall substantially by the thickness of the first wall, in particular by means of a double fold or the like. In this way, it can be ensured that there are no projections or the like with regard to the outer contour of the unpackaged packages according to the invention.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that in a first step the protective sheath is torn off along the perforation, then the lid is folded back, the cap is pulled out of the body slot in the area of the second sides of the second wall and the closure area of the insert connected to the lid is separated along the second perforation. finally, the cap is biased upwardly into the lid, the closure region being located at least partially between the lid and the cap.
This has the advantage that the multi-layer package can be opened easily without removing parts or the like.
In a further development of the invention, it is provided that the cap engages by means of projections with corresponding apertures of the lid. By engaging the overlay with the lid by means of the projections, it can be fixed in a simple manner. In this case, a part of the closure area can be comprised between the cap and the lid.

Fig. 2 shows a plan for assembling the body 1 and the lid 2 into a conventional cigarette box. The body 1 has a bottom wall 11 and a first wall 12, 13. The lid has a top wall 21 and a second wall 22, 23, with the body 1 and lid 2 pivotally connected to each other on the first side 12 of the first wall 12, 13 and the first side 22. the second wall 22, 23. The body 1 has adhesive points 101 to 107. The lid has a sticking point 208 to 210, the two sticking points 210 in the finished cigarette box are glued together. The gluing points 104 to 107 are glued to the gluing points 404 or 407 of the liner 4.
Fig. 3 shows a plan for folding the stiffening element 5 in a conventional cigarette box. It has glue points 503, 505 and 506 which are glued to the corresponding gluing points 103, 105 and 106 of the body.
An ordinary cigarette box in its unpackaged condition is surrounded by a protective sheath 3 which protects the body 1 and the lid 2 from moisture, which may be made of cardboard. The unpackaged condition of the packaging means the condition of the packaging before first opening. If the package is resealed after the first opening, then the package is in a closed state.
When a conventional cigarette box is opened for the first time, the protective film 3 is torn in the area of the lid 2 by the tear strip and the part that is adjacent to the lid 2 is removed with the tear strip. The lid 2 is then opened and the closure area 41 of the liner 4 is pulled from the package, separating it along the second perforation 42. After opening the package, both part of the protective film 3, the tear strip and the closure area 41 of the liner 4 are disposed of as waste.
Figures 4 to 6 show the folding plans of the first embodiment of the package according to the invention, namely FIG. 4 shows the folding plan for the insert 4, FIG. 5 the folding plan for the body 1 and the lid 2, and FIG. 6 5. These folding plans are particularly suitable for cigarette wrapping.
Body 1 has a bottom wall 11 and a first wall 12, 13 which has a first side 12 and second sides 13. Lid 2 has a top wall 22 and a second wall 22, 23 which has first side 22 and second sides 23. Body 1 and lid 2 are pivotally connected to each other on the first side 12 of the first wall 12, 13 and on the first side 22 of the second wall 22, 23. In the embodiment shown, the pivoting joint is made by means of a fold 14, so that the body 1 and the lid 2 are joined together in one piece. In other embodiments of the invention, the body 1 and the lid 2 can also be manufactured separately and can be connected to each other by means of a pivoting joint. In the collapsed state of the body 1 and lid 2 in an unpackaged condition, a gap is formed between the second sides 13 of the first wall 12, 13 and the second sides 23 of the second wall 22, 23.
The body 1 has gluing points 101, 102, 104, 105, 106 and 107, the lid has gluing points 208, 209 and 211, the insert has gluing spots 404, 407 and 411, and the stiffening element has gluing spots 505 and 506. 102 are needed when assembling the body 1, and the gluing points 208 and 209 are needed when folding the lid 2. The remaining gluing points are glued together so that the points marked with the same ending numbers, for example 211 and 411, touch each other. It is sufficient if an adhesive or the like is applied to one of the contacting points of adhesion.
Figures 7 and 8 show an insert 4 according to a first embodiment of the invention. It is folded on the basis of the folding pattern of FIG. 3 and has a closure area 41 which is torn off the remainder of the insert 4 by the second perforation 42.
The unpackaged package is shown in Fig. 9 and Fig. 10. It is surrounded by a protective sheath 3 which has a perforation 31 and is connected to the body 1 and the lid 2. The perforation 31 is located in the area of the gap which is formed by the other sides 13. first walls 12, 13 and second sides 23 of second walls 22, 23. In Figs. 9 and Figs. 10 the connection takes place by means of an adhesive 32 which is disposed between the body 1 and the protective film 3 and between the lid 2 and the protective film 3. In the embodiment shown, the adhesive 32 is applied over the entire length of the perforation 31, so that the protective film 3 is glued along the entire length of the perforation 31 with the body 1 and the lid 2. Moreover, it has proven advantageous for the adhesive 32 to seal the perforation openings 31 of the unpackaged package so that no moisture can penetrate the package through the perforation 31. Accordingly, it has proven advantageous if the adhesive 32 is wax-like.
In other embodiments, it is provided that the protective film 3 is connected either to the body 1 or only to the lid 2. It is also provided that the protective film 3 is only connected to the body 1.
In a certain area, it is connected to the body 1 and / or to the lid 2. The protective film 3 can simply be made of a foil as one piece, for which cellophane has proved particularly suitable. As a result of the use of cellophane, the protective coating 3 can be made transparent, so that in the unpackaged state of the package, the print or the like on the body 1 and / or on the lid 2 is visible through the protective film 3. In other embodiments, it can also be provided that the protective film 3 is connected in other areas to the body 1 and / or to the lid 2.
In the unpackaged condition, the insert 4 which is shown in Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 abuts the body 1 and the lid 2, the second perforation 42 being located in the area of the gap between the second sides 13 of the first wall 12, 13 and the second sides 23 of the second wall. walls 22, 23. The insert 4 is connected by gluing points 404 and 407 to the gluing points 104 or 107 of the body and by means of a gluing point 411 to the gluing point 211 of the lid. The connection can also be made by other known means. In other embodiments of the invention, these gluing points 104, 404, 107, 407, 211, 411 may also be positioned differently. If an insert 4 is present, it has proved particularly advantageous to connect the closure area 41 to the lid 2.
Figures 11 to 14 show the first opening of an unpackaged package according to the invention according to Figs. 4 to 10. In Fig. 11 it is seen that the lid 2 in the area of the second sides 23 of the second wall 22, 23 has a cap 24, which is inserted into the corresponding slot of the body 1. In Fig. 13 it can be seen that the cap 24 is pivoted up into the lid 2. The cap 23 may have protrusions 25 which engage with the corresponding openings 26 of the lid 2. The openings 26 of the lid 2 are shown in FIG. fig. 5, fig. 9 and fig. 10. Variants are envisaged with different numbers and different designs of the projections 25 and the holes 26.
The slit can be provided on the second sides 13 of the first wall 12, 13 or it can be formed by the first wall 12, 13 and the stiffening element 5. The embodiment between the first wall 12, 13 and the stiffening element 5 can be easily produced without the package being weakened. because of the gap.
Figures 15 to 20 show a sectional view of the first opening and reclosing of the first embodiment of the package according to the invention. Glued areas are marked with a dotted line.
15 shows the first embodiment of the package according to the invention in an unpackaged state, the demarcation of the body 1 from the lid 2 being marked with a dashed line. In the area of the gap between the body 1 and the lid 2, a cap 24 is formed on the lid 2, with a dashed line. in which, in the area of the gap, the cap 24 is offset from the second wall 22, 23 by substantially the thickness of the first wall 12, 13. In this way, it can be achieved that the transition between the body 1 and the lid 2 is made flat and without protrusions. A double seam has proven suitable for a displaced arrangement, as shown in Fig. 5. But other known means can also be used. The slit 15 is formed by the body 1 and the stiffening element 5, so that the cap 24 is placed between the body 1 and the stiffening element 5 in an unpacked state at least over a certain area. An insert 4 is disposed inside the body 1 and the lid 2. A protective sheath 3 is arranged around the body 1 and the lid 2.
In the first step when opening the unpackaged package according to the invention, the protective coating 3 is interrupted along the perforation 31. Advantageously, this can be done with a blunt object, in particular a fingernail or the like. However, the perforation 31 can also be interrupted by applying a tilting moment to the lid 2. Thereafter, the lid 2 is folded back, with the cap 24 being pulled out of the slot. If a liner is provided, the closure region 41 is separated along the second perforation 42 from the remainder of the liner. With the lid 2 folded back, the cap 24 is folded back to the lid 2, the closure region 41 being at least partially disposed between the lid 2 and the cap 24. Thereafter, the package can be brought closed by folding back the lid 2. Contrary to the unpacked state (Fig. 15), in a closed state (Fig. 20) of the package according to the invention, the perforation 31 of the protective cover 3 is broken and the closure area 41 is separated from the rest of the liner 4 along the second perforation 42. The cap 24 is preferably folded back to the lid 2, with the help of the protrusions 25 being engaged with the corresponding openings 26 lids 2.
PL 203 987 B1
By means of the friction-resistant cap 24 to open the package according to the invention, it can be ensured that a predetermined force is required to open the package according to the invention, so that the risk of unintentional opening during storage or during transport can be largely eliminated. In other embodiments of the package according to the invention, it can also be provided that the cap 24 is again guided through the slot when closed.
Figures 21 to 28 show a second embodiment of a package according to the invention. It differs from the first embodiment, which is shown in FIGS. 4 to 20, in a substantially different configuration of the insert 4, the folding plan of which is shown in FIG. 21. In FIGS. 24 to 26, the folded insert 4 is shown. With this embodiment variant, it is advantageous that the liner 4 remains in one piece and the closure area 41 even after the package has been opened, as can be seen in FIG. 26 is not completely separate from the rest of the insert 4.
Figures 22 and 23 show plans for assembling the body 1 and the lid 2 or the stiffening element 5. Figures 27 and 28 show an unpackaged package according to the second embodiment variant, which does not differ in appearance from the first embodiment variant. Figures 29 to 32 show the first opening of a second embodiment of a package according to the invention. It can be seen that, contrary to the first embodiment, no part of the insert 4 remains on top of the packaged product. This is especially apparent from the comparison of Fig. 13 with Fig. 31.
The body 1 has gluing points 101, 102, 104, 105 and 106, the lid has gluing points 208, 209 and 211, the insert has gluing points 404 and 411 and the stiffening element has gluing points 505 and 506. The gluing points 101, 102 are needed for collapsing the body 1, and the gluing points 208 and 209 are needed when folding the lid 2. The remaining gluing points are glued together so that the points marked with the same ending numbers, for example 211 with 411, touch each other. It is sufficient if an adhesive or the like is applied to one of the contacting points of adhesion.
Figures 33 to 38 show the first opening and reclosing behavior of a second embodiment of the package according to the invention in a cross section that corresponds to that of the first embodiment. Glued areas are marked with a dotted line.
