Fluid separating agent and his use
Abstract
Liquid release agent for application in particular to a panel edge region provided, or to be provided, with a coating by means of an adhesive or by means of glue, where the panel is a furniture panel, comprises a mineral oil, where the mineral oil has a viscosity of 2.5 to 35 mm 2>/s (according to DIN 51262 at 20[deg] C) and is added to an alcoholic solvent.

A liquid anti-adhesive agent and its use
The invention relates to a liquid release agent for application to the edge area of the panel, equipped with or provided with a coating by means of a stick or glue, in particular a furniture board, with the addition of mineral oil.
Such a release agent is known from DE 203 14 849 U1 and DE 20 2006 003 378 U1. Essentially, these release agents have been found to be useful in practice.
They also find a beneficial application to limit adhesion of glue or adhesive residues to the furniture board when its edges are coated with an edge band.
Anyway, there are known fields of application in which these known release agents do not lead to an optimal result.
In order to obtain a ready-to-use release agent for the intended purpose of use, a special gasoline is used as the solvent, so the release agent together with the mineral oil is present as a solution.
The use of special gasoline as a solvent, however, requires, first of all, for the protection of work appropriate conditions, such as suction or the like.
According to the European safety data sheet for liquid release agents with the share of special-purpose gas, this known release agent conducts skin irritations, harmful effects in water bodies, because they are toxic to aquatic organisms, damage to health, especially lung damage if this release agent is swallowed or to occur. drowsiness and intoxication when gasoline fumes are inhaled.
In addition to this, the special gasoline also has effects on various elements of the machining machines in which this known release agent is incorporated for use by the spray devices. And so on conveyor belts one can observe special distortions caused by petrol, which lead to thickening of chain plates, as a result of which the course of motion is disturbed and the quality of the processing of the boards is detrimental.
US-A-4155770 discloses a lecithin-based vat in a vat with four different ingredients that must be present unconditionally. In this case, lecithin, white mineral oil, vegetable oil and ethanol or isopropanol are concerned.
The invention as a basis accepts such a further development of the type-release agent of the generic type to improve its suitability for use.
This task is solved thanks to a release agent with the characteristics of claim 1.
As unexpectedly found, it is possible to use a mineral oil of low viscosity in accordance with the invention with a viscosity> 2.5 to <35 mm2/ s at 20 ° C according to DIN 51562, completely refrain from using gasoline or special gasoline.
The mineral oil added to the alcoholic solvent, preferably white oil, has, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a viscosity of> 3 to <18, in particular> 5 to <7, preferably about 6.3 mm2/ S.
Whereas in the case of the previously used mineral oil with a correspondingly higher viscosity, in each case special gasoline must be added to dissolve the added alcohol, the alcoholic solvent is dissolved completely in the mineral oil or a solution of mineral oil and alcoholic solvent is prepared.
Preferably, this alcoholic solvent consists of ethanol, which is present at a concentration of preferably 85-99%, while low-pressure mineral oil as a carrier fluid is then present in a concentration of 15-1%.
The current abandonment of the use of special gasoline leads to a slight concentration of hydrocarbons in the breathing air, so there is a clear improvement in working conditions, which also includes considerably less degreasing or irritating effects on the skin of the workforce.
In fact, the new liquid release agent does not have any components that endanger the environment, which consequently naturally has a simplified production process and simplified machine equipment, since sufficient suction devices can be dispensed with. There are no longer any actions corresponding to the mentioned European safety data sheet.
Moreover, when this new release agent is used, the durability of the plate making machines is increased, since the forced contact with the release agent does not lead to the disadvantages described above about the deformation of the conveyor belts by the special gasoline used.
