The present invention relates to a children's chair bow, e.g. a chair, where the seat has a vertical opening at the front, optionally with the possibility of adjusting the seat vertically or horizontally. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a bow in a children's chair.
Background to the Invention [0002] It is known that children at the age when they begin to sit up themselves (about 6-7 months) until they master sitting in a child's seat without falling out (about 2 years old), need devices that guarantee their safety, preventing falling out of the chair.
[0003] Locks, such as bows or crossbars, are often used for this purpose, optionally combined with a vertical belt or rod in children's chairs. Alternatively, the entire seat of the chair can be formed as a seat integrally connected to the handle and the flattened post. The disadvantage of chairs in this shape is that the seat can not be adjusted according to the height and age of the child. Often, these locks in the seat are combined with braces to prevent the child from getting out of the chair. Such a specific blockage can be used alone when the child is so small that he is unable to get out himself or constitutes additional real help that can not be guaranteed by the braces themselves.
[0004] A safety bow for a children's chair fastened with straps to a normal chair is described in document SE 451 530. The headband has two horizontal stops to connect them to the corresponding horizontal upper sides of the chair sides or seat. The sides have holes in the upper surface for screwing in from the bottom and through the holes in the lower part of the ends of the bow. The headband also has a central section with a handle on the bottom, which is used to attach a children's chair in the opening.
[0005] Furthermore, as is evident from EP 1 388 311, a restraining ring is known for a children's chair that can be attached to a normal chair. The stop ring has two horizontal stops connected to the backrest and a separate central support rod with a bottom threaded end that serves to screw into the threaded hole in the children's chair and an upper end that is fastened with a nut to the stop ring.
[0006] In later years, progress has been made and many countries and regions have their own safety regulations regarding the equipment used by children, such as children's chairs. They should be taken into account when developing new models of chairs, although it may be difficult to adapt the chairs produced in the years preceding the entry into force of these regulations. Making such modifications on chairs that have been on sale for many years, without mechanical interference, is particularly difficult. Thousands of chairs are in the houses.
[0007] An illustration of the above is the case of the Tripp Trapp® children's chair, developed in 1972 and patented in 1976, which still remains extremely popular in many countries.
[0008] The chair is designed so that it can be adjusted according to the size of the child and is therefore provided with a seat and footrest that can be adapted to different heights in such a way that the lateral parts slide over the rails and are fixed by reducing the distance between the sides . The seat can additionally be adjusted to the depth so that it is moved relative to the backrest, which ensures that the child sitting in it has adequate leg room.
[0009] The adaptation of the present seats to the new applicable requirements, with particular attention to maintaining the original previously mentioned chair functionality, has proved to be difficult. To achieve this, for example, the mounting of the roll bar should go hand in hand with the height and depth of the seat.
[0010] In addition to mounting a safety bow for this type of chair, it should also be mentioned that it would be desirable to attach braces that can be used with the handle.
[0011] A further object is to provide fastening means for such additional equipment as mentioned above, so that the owners of the older chair models can also modernize it. The goal is also to avoid mechanical interference, such as making holes in any part or screwing in screws that leave marks of damage visible after the use of children's braces or headband. Such interference may also create a risk on the part of the user who will make the alterations in the wrong manner, so that security will be compromised. Therefore, it is the object of the invention to assemble additional equipment on the feel and in the simplest way, not simultaneously threatening the safety; preferably without the use of tools.
[0012] Furthermore, the safety bow should have a simple pattern and be rational in production, taking into account that the headband is used for a certain period of time compared to the life of the chair.
Description of the Invention [0013] To achieve these aims, the applicant has created a security bow which solves the aforementioned problems.
The present invention relates to a safety bow for mounting in a children's chair together with a seat, a backrest and possibly sides, while the backrest or sides have at least one hole, preferably a horizontal hole, whereas the safety bow is characterized in accordance with claim 1. 1.
[0015] Next, the invention will be described in detail with the help of embodiments and the accompanying drawings, none of which are intended to limit the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Fig. 8 shows a detail of the safety bow of Fig. 6.
Detailed Description [0017] As can be seen in FIG. 1, the safety bow 40 is a one-piece branched curved beam, including an arched bar 41 and a vertical flattened portion 42.
[0018] The arched cross-member 41 has two ends 43 with first and second attachment means 44 for mounting to the back or sides of the chair. Likewise, the end of the flattened portion 42 has a third fastening means 46, in this embodiment a latch for attachment to the seat bracket.
[0019] As can be seen in Figure 2, the arched bar 41 comprises a vertical panoramic rim 47, in this embodiment with an upper overhang 48 forming a substantially horizontal surface. The transition between the rim 47 and the flange 48 is curved due to the child's comfort and provides good support for the child's shoulders. The design also provides an arched crossbar with enhanced rigidity and strength as well as torsional stability.
[0020] Due to the safety regulations of some countries, it is also worth noting that the rim 47 in the crossbar has a variable width, so that in some places where the child's mobility needs to be reduced, or where the size or shape of the seat-dependent opening needs to be reduced. 2 and a bow 40 as shown in Fig. 3. In this embodiment, the rim 47 extends downwardly along with the flaps 49 on each side in between the ends 43 and the flattened band 42.
[0021] Fig. 3 additionally shows how the safety bow for the children's chair is mounted. As shown in FIG. 2, the connecting members comprise upward indicator feet 44 bent backwards with respect to the ends 43, and FIG. 3 shows how these feet 44 are hooked between the upper crosshead 3 and the lower crossbar 4 of the chair back 1. The headband In this situation, the feet 44 are pivoted downwards in the front so that the feet 44 are moved under pressure on the upper edge until the connecting member 46 at the end of the flattened portion 42 can connect to the corresponding connecting member in the seat 2. In this example the connecting member in the seat 2 is the edge of the groove 12 in the mounting bracket 10 attached to the seat 2 as seen in Figs. 3 and 4. The flattened portion 42, which is somewhat flexible, allows you to adjust the depth of the seat depending on the child's height. Depending on the curvature of currant 41 and / or the arrangement of the first or second fastening means 44, the safety bow can also be adapted to different height positions of the seat plate, 2-3 positions, by tilting it up or down.
[0022] As the flattened part 42 has to take the weight exerted on the crossbar 41, it is preferred that the safety bow 40 also has matched surfaces on the children's chair 1, cushioning this weight. Depending on the quality and flexibility of the safety bow 40, it can be advantageous that the ends 43 of the crosspiece 41 include stoppers 45 in the form of downward retaining stops bent forward with respect to the ends 43, as shown in Fig. 2. The stoppers 45 will be pressed back in the upper edge of the upper front edge of the lower crossbar 4 of the backrest of the chair 1, as shown in Fig. 3. In this way, the safety bow 40 is rigidly stretched when it is mounted to the seat 2, in addition to this, it is difficult to move back horizontally and at the same time the clearance between the chair and the bow is avoided.
[0023] In both the earlier and the next embodiment, the chair 1 has a support consisting of two horizontal cross-bars 3 and 4, forming a hole of a predetermined height. However, the notch may also consist of two separate openings based on the tubs on the sides of the chair, for example two parallel grooves of a predetermined height and possibly a width. The openings do not have to be through, but they may be a cavity with, for example, an edge or rail for engaging the connecting members 44 as shown. The ends 43 of the safety bow can themselves be supported against the back of the chair or side parts, so as to engage the safety bow and make backward movement difficult. [0024] Fig. 5 shows an alternative embodiment of the present invention, wherein the ends 43 of the crosspiece 41 comprise a different form of the connecting members 50 with an opening (s) between the crosspieces 3 and 4 of the chair 1. In this embodiment, the connecting members 50 comprise protruding end portions 43 (from previous figures) towards the rear which can be translated through the holes on the base 3, 4. The end of the connecting member 50 has a substantial raised upward portion such that the safety bow must be attached to the hole (s) as described above. However, the connecting members 50 are dimensioned with a larger amount of material to absorb a greater weight than the members 44. Therefore, there is no need for additional limiting members 45 in front of the ends 43. In addition to the raised portion 51, the connecting member 50 may include an additional transverse rail 52 in the upper edge, as shown in Fig. 7, which allows the bar to be hooked in an additional position to a depth closer to the backrest, as shown in Fig. 5. This position is indicated for the smallest children using the chair. In addition to increasing the horizontal opening delimited by the arched bar 41 of the safety bow and backrest, it is also interesting to lower the seat 2 as the child increases, changing from the transverse rail 52 to the raised portion 51. To use a relatively stiff bow 40 on an alternative seat height 2, the connecting member 46 includes a dozen latches, one after the other, as shown in detail in FIG. 8.
[0026] As shown in FIG. 7, the end of the flattened belt 42 includes a lower upwardly directed latch 51 as in the previous embodiment and the further downwardly directed latch 52 is positioned above it to inhibit the automatic movement of the flattened strip 42 downward, in place of the stop edge as shown in Figs. 1-4. Releasing the second latch 52, the flattened strip 42 can be pulled further down towards the groove 12, and the third upwardly directed latch 53 will secure the flattened strip deeper in the groove 12, and thus with the fourth latch 54, it will not be able to move further down.
[0027] The flattened strip 42 may additionally have further latches to increase the possibility of adjustment, but limited in quantity, so that the long part protruding from under the seat when the safety bow is used in the internal position does not interfere.
[0028] Fig. 6 shows an alternative assembly of a children's chair, where the safety bow (40) is used by direct contacting the flattened strap 42 by means of a connecting member 46 in a groove in the seat 2 itself. In the original Tripp Trapp® there is, for example, a groove for attaching to another flattened belt. The seat 2 can be moved horizontally to adjust the depth both to the safety bow and to the child. In general, the attachment of the flattened strap 42 by means of the connection bracket 10, as shown in Fig. 5, will provide more space for the child's legs since the flattened strap is attached to the outer seat portion, while the space on the embodiment of Figure 6 is more limited.
[0029] The safety bow can be made of any suitable material, e.g. metal, wood or other synthetic material or composite material. Preferably, the safety bow is made of semi-rigid material, un-seated, but which has sufficient flexibility to match the depth of the seat, preferably made of plastic.
[0030] The benefit of the safety bow according to the invention is such that it can be used on an already existing chair, such as Tripp Trapp® or others, without making mechanical changes to any part of the chair or the need for fastening means such as screws. The safety bracket is simply attached to the rear edge only by means of existing parts and on the front edge by means of an existing groove or bracket in the seat. The safety bow adapts to some extent to adjusting the chair, both horizontally and vertically, for example by adjusting the height and / or depth of the seat, without jeopardizing any of the chair's functions. The safety bar can be easily removed after use or moved to another chair when it is no longer used. Adjustable by the safety bow,
[0031] A further advantage of the safety bow according to the invention is that all attachment means for mounting the children's chair can be integrated with the bow, as shown in Fig. 6, without the need for additional parts or tools.
