The invention relates to a plug part for a plug connector system, the plug part being made in the form of a pipe part and has a sealing section with a sealing element surrounding the tubular part in the circumferential direction as well as a locking section with at least one undercut, and wherein the plug part for producing the fluid tight connection is plug into the socket of the connecting part of the plug connector system and in the undercut area is hooked to at least one locking element of the connecting part.
[0002] Such plug parts are used in plug connector systems by means of which pipe or flexible pipe lines are detachably connected to each other. The plug connector system has a connecting part with a socket into which the plug part can be inserted. The plug part can be locked in the connecting part by means of locking elements. The plug part is made in the form of a tubular part and has a sealing section adjacent to its free end with a sealing element completely surrounding the tubular part in the circumferential direction. If the plug part is inserted into the socket of the connecting part, the sealing element adheres to the wall of the socket and at least one undercut, which is positioned in the locking section of the plug part, is hooked by the locking part of the connecting part. The plug part is thus fastened in the direction of its longitudinal axis in the socket of the connecting part while maintaining a fluid tight connection.
an annular section which such plug-in parts are known for example from German utility model description DE 86 24 767 U1. In order to lock the plug part in the socket of the connecting part in this utility model description, it is proposed to use a locking plug with two arms and connecting them with a yoke, the arms each forming a locking element. The plug-in part is made in the form of a tubular part and has a tapered part to which the groove adheres to its side facing away from the tapered section is limited by a cylindrical section. Both the cylindrical section and the conical section completely surround the known tubular part in the circumferential direction. The rear side of the conical section facing away from the front side of the known plug part forms an undercut which is engaged by two locking elements when the plug part is inserted into the socket of the connecting part.
[0004] The fluid-tight connection of the plug part with the connecting part is provided by means of a sealing element. The negative effect on the sealing element means that the liquid that passes through the plug part and the connecting part can flow out of the socket of the connecting part through the locking section.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to further improve the plug part of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the risk of adverse effects on the sealing element is reduced.
[0006] This task in a plug-in part of this kind is solved according to the invention in that the undercut is formed from a projection protruding from the outside from the tubular portion, which in the circumferential direction only spreads over the partial area of the tubular portion.
[0007] Due to the undercut propagating in the circumferential direction only in the partial area, the plug part in the area of the locking section has an asymmetrical cross section with respect to the longitudinal axis of the plug part. Thanks to this, the plug part can be easily mounted in a way that prevents it from twisting in the socket of the connecting part. Thus, due to the anti-twist attachment in the socket of the connecting section, mechanical loading of the sealing element can be prevented by twisting the male part. The plug part made asymmetrically in the area of the locking section in relation to rotation about its longitudinal axis, is therefore characterized by a long service life.
[0008] In addition, the plug part according to the invention has the advantage that less material is needed for its production than for common plug parts, since the projection needed to make the undercut spreads in the circumferential direction only in the partial area of the pipe part. In the production of the male part, it is therefore possible to save on material so that it is produced particularly cheaply.
[0009] A particular advantage is when the flattened circumferential section of the tubular part adheres to the at least one projection. In the area of the locking section, the flattened circumferential section allows the flat portion of the plug to adhere to the wall of the socket of the connecting part. Due to this, the mechanical load capacity of the plug part inserted into the socket of the connecting part can be increased. In addition, the preparation of at least one truncated circumferential section allows for particularly optimized material production for the plug part. The point is that the preparation of at least one flattened circumferential section simplifies the user in manipulating the plug part in the production of a fluid tight connection with the corresponding connecting part, because the user using the flattened circumferential section can intuitively detect the position of the plug part required to insert the plug part into the socket.
[0010] In a preferred embodiment, the locking section has two diagonally opposite projections that are connected to each other by means of flattened perimeter sections. The protrusions in each case create an undercut, so that the plug-in part inserted into the socket of the connecting part can be hooked on the sides of the locking elements opposite each other along the diameter. In each case, a flattened circumferential section runs between the projections, which allows the plug part to lie flat in the socket of the connecting part. The flattened circumferential sections are preferably arranged parallel to each other.
[0011] It is preferred that the at least one projection is shaped like a bead. Alternatively, it may be provided that the projection is shaped like a pin or a wing and preferably protrudes radially from the tubular part outwards.
[0012] The plug part according to the invention is preferably used in a plug connector system that has a connecting part with spring loaded locking elements in the locked position. In this connection, it is an advantage if the at least one projection of the male part has a conical face facing the tubular part. This configuration has the advantage that when inserting the plug part into the corresponding coupling part socket, the pre-tensioned locking element can be pressed sideways by means of a protrusion in the locked position, without the user having to actuate the additional actuating element.
[0013] In order to increase the flat contact area of the male part in the socket of the corresponding connecting part, it is advantageous if the projection has an outer circular arc-shaped rim which is formed by a cylindrical lateral surface. This ensures that the projection also on its outside can be laid flat against the wall of the socket. As a result, only the linear contact of the projection with the seat wall is prevented.
[0014] The undercut propagating in the circumferential direction only in the partial area of the tubular portion is preferably formed by the radially rear side of the projection. This allows particularly reliable attachment in the axial direction of the plug part in the socket of the connecting part.
[0015] The undercut distance from the front side of the male portion is preferably less than twice, in particular one and a half times the outer diameter of the sealing section. Due to this, firstly, a compact construction of the plug part and the corresponding connecting part can be ensured, and secondly, tight sealing of the sealing element to the wall of the socket is ensured and at the same time reliable locking of the plug part in the socket.
[0016] The invention does not only concern the plug part of the type explained at the outset, but also a plug connector system with such a plug part and with a connecting part that has a socket for plug-in of the plug part and a locking device with at least one locking element which is recessed in the locking position from the side in the locking area of the socket and by means of the actuating element of the connecting part is displaceable in the unlocked position, the locking area having a cross-section, which corresponds to the cross section of the locking section of the male part in the area of at least one projection.
[0017] In such a configuration, the locking area of the socket, like the locking section of the plug part is shaped with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis of the plug part asymmetrically, such that the plug part which lies flat against the wall of the locking area is secured in the socket in a manner preventing its rotating in the nest.
[0018] The socket may comprise, for example, two opposing flat wall sections which are connected to each other by means of circular arc shaped wall sections. The wall sections in the shape of a circular arch may have a cut-out, with the help of which the locking element can be recessed into the side in the socket, and the flat wall sections serve to adhere flatly corresponding flattened peripheral sections of the plug part.

[0020] In the drawing, designated as a whole by reference number 10, a schematic representation of a plug connector with a connecting part 11 and a plug part 12 that can be used to produce a fluid tight connection in the socket 14 of the connecting part .
[0021] The connecting part 11 is shaped as a three-part and includes a connecting body 16, which is essentially cylindrical and has a seat 14 and a locking device 18 and an actuating sleeve
20.
[0022] As is seen in particular in Figures 6 to 9, the seat 14 is shaped as a through hole passing through the connecting body 16 that forms a locking area 24 having an outlet on the front side 23 of the connecting body 16 and an adjacent area sealing 25. The sealing area 25 is cylindrical symmetrically, while the locking area 24 has two diametrically opposed flat wall sections 28, 29, which are connected to each other by wall sections 30, 31 in the shape of a circular arc. The flat wall sections 28, 29 are arranged parallel to each other.
[0023] At the height of the locking area 14, the connecting body 16 has two elongated holes 33, 34 passing through the connecting body 16 and having an outlet from the side of the locking area 24, with sliding surfaces 35, 36 obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the connecting body.
[0024] From the outside 38 of the connecting body 16 in the circumferential direction, several guide ribs 39 extend radially outward from each other.
[0025] The locking device 16 comprises a U-shaped spring element 41 with two arms 42, 43 arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the connecting body 16, which are connected to each other by means of a circular arch stirrup 44. A locking leg 45 or 46 adjacent to the free ends of the arms 42 and 43 is located at right angles to the respective arm 42 or 43, which sinks into and passes through the oblong hole 33 or 34. this can be seen in fig. 1. In the area of their free ends, the locking legs 45, 46 protrude by the first end area 48 beyond the outer side 38 of the connecting body 16, and also by the second end area 49 that adjoins the respective arm 42 or 43, the locking legs 45 and 46 protrude above the outer side 38 . The locking legs 45, 46 at their both end areas 48, 49 can be gripped on the outside 38 of the connecting body 16, so that the locking legs 45, 46 against the resilient restoring force exerted by the spring element 41, starting from their locking position shown on Fig. 1 can be moved to the unlocked position shown in Fig. 10 and Fig. 11, sliding along the sliding surfaces 35 or 36 of the oblong holes 33, 34. In their unlocked position, the locking legs 45, 46 have a greater distance from each other than in their locked position.
[0026] For moving the locking legs 45, 46 along the sliding surfaces 35, 36, an actuating sleeve 20 is used, which from the front side has an inwardly annular shoulder 51 with two diameters of arms 52, 53 opposite each other along the diameter. accept the inward projection 55 or 56 latch. Immediately adjacent to the projections of the latch 55 or 56, a shoulder element 58 is formed in each section of the arms 52 and 53, which has a bearing surface 59 turned away from the front side 23, arranged obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the connecting body 16.
The actuating sleeve 20 can be applied from the front side onto the connecting body 16, where it latches with the connecting body 16, which at the height of the front side 23, from the outside has two projections 61, which are hooked by the projections of the latch 55 or 56 actuation sleeve 20.
[0028] If the actuation sleeve 20 is moved along the connecting body 16 in an inverted direction from the front side 23, then the abutment surfaces 59 adjoin the end area 48 or 49 of the locking legs 45 and 46, and when the actuating sleeve 20 further moves the locking legs 45, 46 are moved along the associated sliding surfaces 35, 36 towards their unlocked position.
[0029] The configuration of the plug part 12 according to the invention is particularly visible in Fig. 3, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5. The plug part 12 is made in the form of a tubular part and has a sealing section 65 with an annular groove 66 circulating in a circumferential direction in which has a sealing ring 67. Adjacent to the sealing section 65 is the locking section 69 with two circumferentially extending only in the partial area of the plug-in part 12 and projections opposite each other along the diameter in the form of outer beads 70, 71, which are connected to each other by means of flattened circumferential sections 73, 74 The distance between the flattened peripheral sections 73, 74 to each other is identical to the outer diameter of the sealing section 65. The flattened peripheral sections 73, 74 are located parallel to each other.
[0030] The outer beads 70, 71 have a conical face 76 or 77 that enlarges in a direction away from the free end of the plug part. A tapered lateral surface 79 or 80 adjoins the conical face 76, 77 in the form of a circular arc, to which an axially oriented closing surface 82, 83 adjoins in the axial direction.
The closing surfaces 82, 83 each form an undercut of the plug part 12.
[0031] At the height of the outer beads 70, 71, the cross section of the plug part 12 corresponds to the cross section of the locking area 24 of the connecting body 16. Therefore, to form a fluid-tight connection, the plug part 12 can be inserted into the socket 14 of the connecting body 16, the plug part 12 both in the area of the sealing section 65 and in the area of the locking section 69 it lies flat against the wall of the seat 14. If the plug part 12 is inserted into the socket 14, the conical faces 76, 77 end up on the locking legs 45, 46, so that when the plug part 12 is further inserted into the socket 14, they are pressed outwards to the side and thus the plug part 12 can be carried out between the locking legs 45, 46. In this way, the sealing section 65 of the plug part 12 can be positioned at the height of the sealing area 25 of the connecting body 16, the sealing ring 67 adjacent the wall of the sealing area 25 in a fluid-tight manner. In particular, this is clearly seen in Fig. 8 and Fig. 9.
[0032] The socket part 14, resiliently engaging the plug 12 can be inserted so deeply into the locking legs 45, 46 pre-tensioned in their locked position by the undercuts formed by the outer beads 70, 71 and thereby fix the plug part in in the axial direction in the socket 14. The locking legs 45, 46 thus form the locking elements of the connecting part 11. Due to the asymmetrical configuration with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis of the connecting body part 16 of both the plug portion 12 and the locking area 24 of the connecting body 16, the plug portion 12 is secured in the socket in a manner preventing their relative rotation. As a result, the sealing ring 67 is relieved of rotational movements, causing wear of the ring
This maintains the mechanical wear of the plug ring 12 and locking ring 69 which could seal. particularly small sealing 67. Furthermore, due to the asymmetrical configuration with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis of the plug part 12 and the connecting body 16, it is ensured that the plug part 12 can be inserted into the socket 14 only in a predetermined position. In addition, the preparation of the flattened peripheral sections 73, 74 allows material-optimized production of the plug part 12. In addition, the flattened peripheral sections 73, 74 ensure that the plug part 12 can also be laid flat against the wall of the socket 14 in the area of the locking section 69.
