Abstract
A loading member with a substantially L-shaped cross section and which jointly with a corresponding loading member may be arranged at the bottom of a box, each member being provided at one of two respective parallel lower edges of the box. The loading members are retained in close abutment with the box by means of circumferential straps or packaging film, whereby the members form feet for the box. A first web of the L-section is provided with at least two pressed hollow projections on the surface intended to face a supporting surface of the loading member. Two of these projections have an interspacing of at least half the length of the member. The width of the projections is less than or equal to half the width of the first web. The projections substantially abut an edge at which the webs of the L-section converge. As a result, a comparatively light loading member is obtained and it is further ensured that the forks of a fork-lift truck can be inserted beneath a loading member when two identical loading members are mounted on two parallel lower edges of the box without causing significant damage to or wear of the loading member.

Description of the invention
The invention relates to a support element with an approximately L-shaped cross-section which, together with the respective support element, can be placed on the bottom of the crate, each of the supporting elements being located on one of the two parallel lower edges of the crate and held in place. in close contact with them by means of circumferential strips or packaging film, whereby these elements may constitute the legs of the crate.
State of the art
Supporting elements of this type are known for use in the transport of crates, such a carrier being arranged jointly with the respective element along two parallel lower edges of the crate so as to protect it. The support members have an approximately L-shaped cross-section and are held by the wrapping material. On one shelf of the L-shaped section there are a series of parallel and slightly spaced ribs. The flange of the L-shaped section with ribs is approximately completely covered with ribs. Lifting the box with a forklift is difficult due to the difficulty of inserting the forks of the trolley under the box without damaging the load-bearing elements and their ribs. This is not a satisfactory solution.
Brief Description of the Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a support element of the above type and with a relatively simple structure and, in the case of mounting two identical support elements on the two parallel lower edges of the box, allowing said elements to insert the forks of a forklift truck underneath (for transporting the box) without causing significant damage. or heavy wear of the load-bearing elements.
The load-bearing element according to the invention is characterized in that on one shelf of the L-shaped cross-section there are at least two hollow embossed projections on the surface which is to face the load-bearing surface of the support element, two of the projections having spacings of at least half the length of the element and a width less than or equal to half the width of said shelf, and furthermore in that the projections approximately abut the edge, where the L-shaped section shelves converge. As a result, the load-bearing element is very light due to the hollow projections and also very durable. When two identical supports are mounted on the two parallel lower edges of the crate and the wrapping strips or film are wrapped around the crate and the components, the load-bearing elements are only subjected to slight wear when the crate is moved with a forklift truck, said wear being limited to the outermost part of the crate. the shelf on which the lugs are located. An additional advantage of the load-bearing elements is the possibility of their compact stacking when not in use.
According to the invention, there may be a small embossed protrusion at or adjacent to the end of said shelf and a large embossed protrusion between the two small protrusions, preferably halfway therebetween. Thus, the load-bearing elements are suitable for the transport of particularly heavy crates.
According to the invention, the projections can have a shape similar to a truncated pyramid, whereby an excellent stiffness of the walls of the projections is obtained.
According to the invention, in the longitudinal direction of said shelf, the length of the large projection is 1 - 3.5 times the length of the small projections, whereby a particularly advantageous embodiment is obtained.
Moreover, according to the invention, the angle between the shelves with an L-shaped cross section may be from 82 to 88 °, preferably around 85 °. As a result, the support members will fit snugly against the crate when mounted on said lower edges thereof and wrapping the wrapping tapes and / or film around the crate and the supports.
Moreover, according to the invention, the walls of each projection may be provided with embossed reinforcement ribs around the projection, whereby it is possible to maintain the position of the strips on each of the support elements relatively easily.
According to the invention, the width of the second shelf of the L-shaped section is approximately equal to the width of the first shelf of the L-shaped section. Such an embodiment is particularly advantageous.
According to the invention, the support may be made of polypropylene (PP), while the outer surfaces of the protrusions are coated with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with a friction coefficient of microns at least about 0.5 to the bearing surface (e.g. cargo bed floor). trucks). As a result, when mounted on the crate, the bearing element does not affect the ease of sliding of the crate with the bearing elements on the bearing surface, e.g. the floor of the truck bed.
According to the invention, the length of the carrier may be from 750 to 770 mm, preferably 760 mm, and the height of the protrusions may be slightly greater than the thickness of the forks of the forklift and is preferably approximately 35-40 mm. Thus, it is possible to insert most of the forklift forks under the carrier.
Moreover, according to the invention, the length of the small projections may be less than or equal to half their width.
It turns out that such an embodiment is particularly advantageous.
Finally, according to the invention, the width of the large projection may be smaller than the width of the small projections, and the length of the large projection is greater than the width of the large projection, preferably 1.7 to 2 of said widths. This embodiment has proved to be particularly advantageous.
Brief description of the figures
The invention is described in detail by means of exemplary embodiments illustrated by the figures, which show:
1 shows an embodiment of a carrier according to the invention in an oblique and perspective view from below;
Fig. 2 is a side view of the same embodiment;
Fig. 3 - back view of the same embodiment;
Fig. 4 shows a box on which two load-bearing elements according to the invention are mounted;
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of a part of the carrier showing the shape of the projection part clearly; and Fig. 6 is a sectional portion of the projection in which in particular the method of coating the projection with a thermoplastic elastomer layer is visible.
The best way to carry out the invention
A support element 1 with an L-shaped cross-section as shown in Fig. 1 can be mounted together with a corresponding support element at the bottom of the crate 3 (see Fig. 4), each element being on one of the two parallel edges, 3a and 3b respectively of the crate. The load-bearing elements are kept in close contact with the crate by circumferential strips 5 or by a packaging film. On the shelf 2, which is to face the supporting surface (e.g. on the floor of the truck bed) of the support 1 at least two embossed hollow projections 7 ', 7, 7'. Two of these projections, namely projections 7 'and 7', have a spacing α (see Fig. 3) of at least half the length of the 1st carrier 1 (see Fig. 2). In Fig. 1, the actual spacing a is approximately 0.80 x 1. The width b of each of the projections 7 ', 7, 7' is less than or equal to half the width b2 of the shelf 2. The projections 7 ', 7, 7' abut the edge 4 where the shelves 2 and 6 of the carrier converge.
As can be seen in Fig. 1, the embossed projections 7'and 7 'may be relatively small and located adjacent to opposite ends of the shelf 2 of the carrier. The protrusion 7, which is a relatively large protrusion, is located between two small protrusions. Preferably, the large projection is apparently halfway between the two small projections 7 'and 7.
As is clearly seen in Fig. 5, each protrusion can have a similar shape to a truncated pyramid. Embossed reinforcement ribs 10a, 10b, 10c may be embossed on the side surfaces of the truncated pyramid (not all reinforcement ribs have the corresponding reference numbers). These ribs may extend from or into the projection.
The large protrusion 7 may have a length x (see Fig. 3) corresponding to 1 - 3.5 the length x of the small protrusions 7 ', 7'. The angle n between the shelves 2 and 6 may be from 82 to 88 [deg.], Preferably around 85 [deg.], In an L-shaped cross-section of the element 1 similar to the shape of the letter L.
As can be seen in Fig. 6, at least in the L-shaped cross-section of the shelves 2 and 6, there may be guide grooves or projections 8 on their surface which is to face away from the crate, which guide grooves or projections enable arranging wrapping tapes 5 to the support members and crate 3 or stabilizing the plastic packaging film wrapped around the elements and crate. However, the latter option has not been shown. Stretch or shrink foil can be used.
PL 196 295 B1
As can be seen from Fig. 1, the second L-sectioned shelf 6 may have a width b6 approximately half the width b2 of the first L-sectioned shelf 2.
The carrier can be made of polypropylene (PP). It is also possible to coat the outer surfaces of the projections 7 ', 7, 7' with a layer 12 of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) in order to increase the friction between the bearing member and the bearing surface (e.g. the floor of a truck bed). Preferably, the elastomer used has a friction coefficient of micron of at least 0.5 with respect to said bearing surface.
The length of the carrier may be between 750 and 770 mm, preferably 760 mm. The height h (Fig. 2) of the projections 7 ', 7, 7' may slightly exceed the thickness of the forks of the forklift truck. Typically the height is about 35-40 mm.
As can be seen in Fig. 3, the length x of the small projections 7 'and 7 may be less than or equal to half their width b.
The large protrusion 7 in Figs. 1-3 may have a width b slightly smaller than the width b of the small protrusions 7 'and 7.
The invention can be modified in many ways without departing from the scope of the appended claims.
