The subject of the invention is a connecting clamp for electric wires with a casing made of insulating material, in which a metal contact insert with at least two crimping points is inserted. The clamping points are located between the leaf spring and the current rail, which is common to all clamping points. The leaf springs are like a tab cut out of a spring steel sheet element, while the bases of the tabs remain connected with each other through a spring steel plate. The free ends of the tabs have clamped edges that are directed towards the current rail, so that they form a current clamping point for the connected electric wire with the current rail.
Clamps of this type are known in many embodiments, for example as a clamp for connecting boxes. They are carried out in bulk.
The object of the invention is to make the metal insert for the clamps of the type mentioned as economical as possible.
This task was solved according to the invention by the fact that every two leaf springs are cut mirror-symmetrically with respect to the median plane from one element of a spring steel sheet, in such a way that the ends of their tabs are spaced from each other and the sheet material between the tab ends two 288 288 is cut cut free and the current bar is a bar, current bar, which is located in the free pattern and in the central plane.
Preferably, a plurality of mirror plates symmetrical with respect to the median plane of the leaf spring pairs are cut out of the spring steel sheet element and there is a sheet metal zebra between adjacent pairs of leaf spring.
Preferably, the spring steel sheet member is bent in the central plane in the shape of the letter "V" and in the central plane of the clamp has a receiving channel in the shape of the letter "U" for receiving the current rail rod.
According to the invention, the current rail rod is latched into the receiving channel and has a circular cross-section.
In the contact insert of the invention, strict functional separation has been maintained. The current bar only takes over the task of conducting current and contacting the electric wires. A spring steel plate element with leaf springs only has the task of exerting a clamping force, i.e. no current flows through the spring material. Accordingly, the material for each structural element can be better used than it is the case with combined functional tasks. The structural elements can therefore be more optimized in terms of material savings.
The current bar has a circular cross-section and can always be exactly matched to the required cross-section of the current conductor, since it only has the task of conducting current and contacting the wires. The contact between the round current bar and perpendicular to the round current bar with a single-wire (ground) electric wire is very good. However, the current bar may also have any cross-sectional shape.
The clamping points are located in pairs mirror-symmetrical with respect to the median plane in which the current bar is located. This results in a shortening (by half) of the length of the current bar with a given number of crimping points. It also saves material.
A spring steel sheet element with leaf springs can be well adapted to the increased clamping forces at many crimping points.
A particularly compact method of construction of the contact insert according to the invention arises when a steel spring element with leaf springs arranged mirror-like in relation to the median plane is bent into the "V" in the median plane. The contact insert therefore has smaller external dimensions and the angle of the plate springs relative to the current bar improves the insertion of the electric wire at each crimping point.
For trouble-free mounting of the contact insert in a housing made of insulating material of the clamp, it is advantageous if the spring steel sheet element from which the leaf springs are punched is pre-assembled into a construction with a current bar. For this purpose, the spring steel plate in the central plane has a receiving channel with a U-shaped cross section for a current rail rod that is latched into the receiving channel.
The clamp according to the invention is shown in the embodiment in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows the contact insert of the clamp according to the invention and Fig. 2 shows the contact insert of Fig. 1 in assembled condition, in a housing made of insulating material.
Figure 1 shows a circular current rail rod 3 and a V-shaped spring steel sheet element 4 with plate springs 5 cut out therefrom 5. At each of the clamping points that are between the ends of the plates of the plate spring 5 and the current rail rod 3, the electric wire 6 is clamped.
The leaf springs 5 are punched from the spring steel sheet element 4 in the form of tabs, namely in that each two springs are mirror symmetrical with respect to the median plane 7 (see Fig. 2). The ends of the tabs of these pairs of leaf springs are spaced apart and the sheet material is cut between the ends of the tabs, so that a blank pattern 8 is formed. The blank pattern 8 allows direct
190 288 no contact between the current bar 3 and electric wires 6 located in the free pattern.
Between the mirror symmetrical pairs of leaf springs 5, which can be arranged side by side, in any number, one next to the other, towards the current rail rod 3, there are zebra 11 of spring steel sheet, which take over the force resulting from the clamping of the wire. The contact insert made of a current rail rod 3 and a spring steel sheet element 4 with leaf springs 5 is self-supporting, so that the forces resulting from the clamping of the wire are not transferred to the housing from the insulating material of the clamp.
The current rail rod 3 is inserted into the receiving channel of the U-shaped spring steel sheet, and the tabs of the plate springs 5 carved out of the spring steel sheet element have a length such that the ends of the tabs in their assembled state (i.e. without the cable clamped in place of clamping) electrical) lie slightly outside the outer diameter of the current rail rod 3, as a result, a preliminary determination of the current rail rod 3 in the U-shaped receiving channel of the spring steel sheet. Alternatively or additionally, the desired pre-assembly of the contact insert can take place by clamping the current bar in the U-shaped receiving channel.
The pre-assembled contact insert is inserted into the housing 9 of Fig. 2 through the mounting hole on the front face of the housing 9 of insulating material, for which reason the mounting hole is closed by a cover 10 also of insulating material. A cover 10 of insulating material fixes the contact insert in the housing of insulating material.
