A bag comprising an elongate body (12) having a closed end (14) and an open end defining the mouth of the bag (16), wherein the body is provided with a pair of integral elongate protrusions (18) that extend away from the body so that the protrusions can be tied together to close the mouth of the bag. The protrusion may have at least one aperture (20) therein. In a preferred embodiment, the protrusions can be tied with a double knot. A roll of material defining a plurality of the aforesaid bags.
