The subject of the invention is a roulette box with a roulette table, especially for use in casinos.
From French Patent 810 827 a roulette table is known, which, however, does not correspond to the classic roulette plates, such as those used so far in casinos. This roulette plate has a circular ring, the ring being mounted on a projection of the roulette plate protruding upwards. The field boundaries are bolted to the ring in the usual way.
In known roulette plates, such as those used in casino roulette boxes, there are 37 recessed fields separated by radial partitions, which partitions are attached by means of screws to the roulette plate. It is known that manipulations of roulette plates and roulette boxes often occur and that both the entrepreneur and players are afraid of such manipulations on the gaming equipment.
Usually the compartments are set manually during production in the roulette box, with attention being paid to their radial direction and exactly the same width of the boxes. The cost is very high.
Partitions are subject to various manipulations. Known in player circles the possibility of changing the width of the compartment, even imperceptible to the naked eye, can bring the benefits of increasing the chances of winning by more than 3%.
Until now, it was usual to make a mandrel supporting a roulette plate and a flange part bolted to the bottom of the roulette box from two parts and then welding them. As a result of welding, however, due to thermal stress, despite the subsequent stress relief, slight inaccuracies in the orientation of the mandrel with respect to the flange part or the bottom of the roulette box arose, which inaccuracies have not played any role so far, because in the case of manually inserted partitions (inaccurately) these small inaccuracies did not matter.
The purpose of the invention is to create a roulette crate with a roulette table for casino games or similar venues where manipulations are excluded to the highest possible extent and at which an optimal compromise between the course of the game desired by the entrepreneur and players is ensured, and equipment inaccuracies are eliminated so far as much as possible to reduce the preference of certain numbers, also when when this privilege means only a few percent advantage in terms of hitting or winning.
The roulette case with the roulette plate according to the invention is characterized in that the roulette plate comprises a ring with radially directed compartments and field boundaries, the compartments delimiting the fields being made in one piece with the ring embedded in the recess of the roulette plate.
Preferably, the ring with compartments is perfectly adapted to the recess of the roulette table and is connected to it by screws and the width of the ring is 19 to 27%, especially 21 to 25% of the average radius of the ring.
According to the invention, it is recommended that the dorsal edge of the compartment has a crease, whereby the height of the outer ridge edge area remains constant and the height of the inner ridge edge area decreases inwards, with a refraction angle between both areas of 2 ° to 12 °, preferably 4 ° to 1θ °, especially 6 ° to 10 °. It is preferred that the refraction point is in the area of 40% to 60%, preferably 45% to 55%, of the width of the ring from the outer end of the compartment, or that the height of the compartment in the outer area is 15 to 27%, preferably 18 to 24 %, of the width of the annular insert.
Preferably, the compartments have, on their upper end areas, oblique surfaces on both sides, whose height is in the outer region between 1 and 3 mm, preferably 1.5 to 2.5 mm, and whose height in the inner region is between 0.5 and 2.5 mm, preferably 1 to 2 mm, which oblique surfaces overlap in particular with intersection of planes.

Preferably, the oblique surfaces or chamfers in the outer region of the compartment form an angle B with a level of 40 ° to 50 °, especially around 45 °, and in the interior area of the compartment with an angle C of 30 ° to 40 °, especially around 35 °.
Preferably, the compartments made in one piece with the ring have, on their inner end region, a bow, inwardly directed, with a bottom rising upwards which lies on the ascending surface of the annular projection of the roulette ring plate, the compartment having an outer end of the dorsal edge placed at the same height as the inner edge of the annular surface, sloping inside the roulette table.
Preferably, the mandrel supporting the roulette plate with the ring located in the recess is made as one piece with the flange part, the roulette plate being rotatably mounted on the mandrel and the flange part in the roulette bowl.
Preferably, the ring and compartments are made of solid brass and have a nickel or chrome coating.
By making compartments in the form of one part with the ring or roulette plate, any manipulation of the compartments is completely excluded. The partitions cannot be loosened, i.e. the width of the field is strictly defined and cannot be changed by moving the screw partitions; therefore, the statistical hit rate cannot be changed later.
The invention offers the advantage that the compartments or the width of the field cannot be later falsified.
In addition, the precise design of the annular insert with compartments makes it possible to improve the smooth running of the roulette table. In this way the rotatably mounted roulette plate is optimally balanced on a mandrel having a flange part located in the roulette bowl; this is the basis for a further embodiment of the invention in that the mandrel on which the roulette plate is located is made as one piece with a flange. Thanks to the currently used ring insert with compartments constituting its integral whole, the balancing of the roulette plate is improved in such a way that it also turns out to be advantageous to make the flange part with the bearing shaft in the form of one part made as precisely as possible, so that thanks to this precise execution in the form of one element not reduce the benefits of accuracy, but strengthen them.
According to the invention, this results in a roulette plate that is slightly rotating, with the highest precision run, completely ruling out manipulation.
It is advantageous to make or cast an annular insert and brass compartments and to process by machining, especially milling. Brass has the advantage compared to the aluminum used that it has a higher specific gravity and the roulette plate made of it gives a more calm and longer run, brass also offers machining benefits. Brass is also - like aluminum - miemagnetic and non-magnetizable and excludes manipulation with magnets. Then brass surfaces can be easily refined or coated, and it is particularly advantageous if at least the surface of the compartment is nickel-plated or chrome-plated. This avoids tampering with the compartments, for example, grinding the compartments and the associated expansion, since such manipulations are immediately visible.
As a result of the massive brass compartments in the form of one piece, the compartments are removed and replaced, which are necessary when the compartments loosen and are no longer rigid or permanently attached. According to the invention, it is thus possible to replace a very precisely made ring insert, which procedure is desired by players and the entrepreneur and can be done in a very short time, because the ring insert goes into the selection of the roulette plate in a tailored manner and is fastened with screws.
The next requirement to be met by the roulette table or roulette box is the unpredictability of the dealer's throws. The trader requires the ball to jump as long as possible to reduce the chances of the player who would like to calculate the throw in advance; the player wants a certain unpredictability of the throw, but calculates himself based on the rotation of the plate
169 284 roulette and ball track a small chance to determine in the last moment the field in which the ball will remain; the player wants the ball to jump less and calm down as quickly as possible. Therefore, the purpose of the invention was to create as precise an annular insert with compartments as possible that, in addition to its accuracy and hence the statistical requirements of the dealer, also meets the player's requirements regarding ball behavior. Thanks to the exact roulette performance and roulette plate features described below, the dealer can work with confidence that the throw is done correctly from a statistical point of view, while the player is not irritated by too much jumps and irregularities in the ball track. With a large number of trials and tests of the dealer and players, it would be possible to make a partition or ring insert, in which, regardless of both the usual diameters of the roulette balls used (19 mm or 22 mm), optimal play would be guaranteed.
The baffle made as higher outward and lowering towards the axis of the plate gives the impending ball a stronger impact, but at the same time it works well catching the ball, or it prevents the ball from jumping out of the field, also when it has a certain, not very high speed relative to the roulette plate. The rear edges of the divider made as diminishing inward from the break point allow the ball falling on the roulette cone to enter the field without interruption, thanks to which this kind of projection avoids ball jumps to a significant degree. This ball behavior is improved even more if the partition in its upper end region is provided with oblique surfaces whose height in the outward area is between 1 and 3 mm, preferably between 1.5 and 2.5 mm, and whose height in the inner area it is 1.5 to 2.5 mm, especially 1 to 2 mm, these oblique surfaces pass into one another with the intersection of the surface.
It turned out that the ball thrown by the dealer, regardless of whether it is a ball with a large diameter (22 mm) or a small diameter (19 mm), at the roulette wheel rotation speeds usually used in casinos and the ball throw speeds at which it is reflected in unpredictable by the fender located on the roulette plate, after contact with the compartment it experiences a strong deviation, which deviation occurs not in the vertical direction but in a certain direction obliquely forward, as a result, the ball is tilted in an incalculable way, however, quite quickly without any special jumps, it sits calmly in the field.
The selected design of the compartment allowed for a very large statistical dispersion of throws and thus gives great confidence for the entrepreneur, but at the same time meets the wishes of players due to the quick calming of the ball.
The parting in the form of one part with the annular insert facing its inner end ring inwards, which lies on the annular surface of the annular projection of the roulette table, or if the outer end of the rear edge is placed with the inner edge descending inside the annular surface also contributes to the smooth running of the ball. roulette table of equal height.
The invention will be further illustrated in the embodiment illustrated in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a cross-section through the roulette box, Fig. 2, top view of the annular insert, Fig. 3, view along the radius of the compartment, Fig. 4, top view of the compartment, Fig. 5 a view of the compartment, viewed from the side.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic cross-section through the roulette box 1. The roulette box 1 consists of a base plate 2 made of wood with a wooden rim 17, which has an upper surface 16 in the upper end region which limits the ball race 32 from above. The raceway 32 passes at the bottom into a surface 33, on which fender or reflective elements 18 are arranged, which make the ball path unpredictable. In this outer casing or base plate 2 there is placed a metal roulette bowl 3, which is preferably made of brass and is attached to base plate 2 by means of screws 34. It is desirable that the roulette bowl 3 is placed horizontally so as to ensure a precise run roulette table 4.
The roulette disk 4 is rotatably mounted by means of a bearing assembly 19 and a bearing ball 20 on the upper surface 40 of the bearing pin 8 and bearings 7 on its circumferential surface. The bearing pin 8 is made of solid material and has a part
169 284 flanged 9 with a circular circumference, which is embedded in the recess 35 in the roulette bowl 3 and fixed with screws 15. Between the inner part 36 of the roulette plate 4 surrounding the mandrel 8 and the surrounding annular projection 22 on the roulette plate 4 there is a ball cone 6, preferably made wooden. From above, the roulette table 4 can be closed and decorated with decorative elements 37. The cone 6 is attached to the roulette table 4. On the roulette plate 4, at its closing from below, there is a cover plate 13, which is attached with sealed screws 12 to the roulette plate 4, which is intended in particular to protect the screws 11 from tampering. An annular insert 5 is bolted to the plate and placed in a recess 21 in the roulette plate 4. This annular insert is made in one piece with compartments 10 that limit the sides of the field 39 of the roulette plate 4. The wall surfaces of the compartments 10 are parallel.
Figure 2 is a top view of the annular insert 5 which is recessed into the recess 21 of the roulette wheel 4 and attached with screws 11. The radially oriented compartments 10 are shown in more detail in Figures 3 to 5.
In Fig. 3 it can be seen that the dorsal edges of the divisions 10 have a crease 28, so that the divider 10 is divided into an outer section - upper and inner section - with a descending dorsal edge 30. Angle A between the dorsal edge 24 in the outer area and the dorsal edge 25 in the inner area is 2 ° to 12 °. In conjunction with Fig. 1 it is then seen that the outer end of the dorsal edge 24 lies at the same height as the inner edge of the annular surface 23 circulating the roulette wheel 4. The inner dorsal edge starts from the bow 31 and passes at an angle E, which is about 40 ° to 50 ° , into an outwardly decreasing annular surface surrounding the projection 22.
In Figs. 4 and 5 it is particularly evident that the dorsal region of the compartment 10 is oblique on both sides due to the inclined surfaces 26 and 27, with the angle B between the inclined surfaces 26 and the level being 40 ° to 50 ° and the angle C between the oblique surfaces 27 and level is 30 ° to 40 °. In the top view of Figure 4, it is seen that the bow 31 is extended at an angle D of about 50 ° to 70 °, preferably about 60 °.
The lower side of the bow 31 has an ascending oblique surface 38, wherein the slope of this oblique surface corresponds to the slope of the upper surface of the surrounding projection 22, so that an adjustment occurs.
The oblique surfaces 26 and 27 in this case pass into each other with an intersection 28 and corresponding to the edge 30, so that an optically perceptible pitch pattern is provided.
