FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0002] A folding chair of this type has been developed for use by young children in particular.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0003] There are various models of folding chairs for small children, where the chair models mentioned have a substantially simple structure and include, for example, those that form a back support frame and a forward facing support, which is pivotally connected to the other. the frame constituting the support directed backwards, and with the plate, forming the seat and resting on the second frame.

[0004] A disadvantage of this type of chair is that due to the articulation of their elements, this complex system is unstable, because the articulation elements are moving relative to each other, thus hindering the operation of these chairs when they need to be moved and set.

[0005] Among the existing folding chairs of which mention may be made is the subject matter of U.S. Patent No. 2,654,119. The chair represents a seat with a rear (second) frame and a set of articulated fittings, and which at the rear has connection means for obtaining a hook-hooking connection with the cross member of said rear (second) frame to thereby lock the unfolded chair position.

[0006] In turn, the subject of European patent EP-0 077 871 is a folding chair, which as locking means adapted to block an unfolded position comprises a hook articulated with one of the frames and engaging the projection of the second frame.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0007] The subject of the present invention is a folding chair that, after folding, maintains its own elements, i.e. two frames and a seat, in a side-by-side position to obtain a compact arrangement allowing for easier movement and storage in a store or user's home.

[0008] This folding chair is characterized by the features set forth in the characterizing part of claim 1. Preferred features are set forth in the dependent claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION [0011] According to the drawings, the folding chair comprises a rectangular frame (1) which forms the backrest (2) at its upper end and forms a forwardly directed support (3) at its lower end; a second rectangular frame (4) that forms a backwardly directed support (8) of the chair and has extended sides (5), each of which is connected to the corresponding bolt (7 each side of the frame (1); a four-sided plate (9) forming the chair seat and connected to the side to form a bolt connection by means of a pin (10) to the sides of the first frame (1).

[0012] In the unfolded position of the chair, the seat plate (9) rests on the upper transverse element (11) of the frame (4) (Figures 1 and 2).

[0013] In the combined position of the chair (Figure 4), the seat plate (9) is in the plane of the first frame (1) and the second frame (4) is positioned next to said first frame (1).

In order to keep the chair in a stable folded position, the seat (9) is connected to form a bolt connection with the second frame (4) by means of a fastener (12) which has a slightly arcuate shape in the longitudinal direction and is forked at the ends (13) and (14), wherein each of said ends is connected by means of a respective first and second bolts (15) and (16) to form a bolt connection with a respective first and second elements (17) and (18) which are permanently affixed respectively to the bottom surface of the cross member (11) and to the bottom surface of the seat (9).

[0015] When using this structure the chair is folded, when the seat (9) is folded up as indicated by the arrow (F) around the pin (10), the said seat will pull the frame (4) by the connector (4) in accordance with with the indication of the arrow (F ') until it reaches the position at which the three elements of the chair are placed side by side and in a stable position as shown in Figure 4.
