Signal filtering and compression method for high-quality sound emulation

Abstract

Disclosed is a speaker system for processing a signal comprising: a first gain amplifier (101) configured to amplify a signal (110); a first low shelf filter (102) configured to filter the amplified signal; a first compressor (104) configured to compress the filtered signal; a graphic equalizer (107) configured to process the filtered signal; a second compressor (108) configured to compress the processed signal; and a second gain amplifier (109) configured to amplify the gain of the compressed signal and to output an output signal (111). The system may also include second low shelf (105) and high shelf (106) filters.

  1. 1
What is claimed:1. A method for processing a signal comprising: adjusting a gain of the signal a first time;filtering the adjusted signal with a first low shelf filter;compressing the filtered signal with a first compressor;processing the signal with a graphic equalizer;compressing the processed signal with a second compressor;adjusting the gain of the compressed signal a second time;and outputting the signal.
  2. 12
A speaker system comprising:a first gain amplifier configured to amplify a signal;a first low shelf filter configured to filter the amplified signal;a first compressor configured to compress the filtered signal;a graphic equalizer configured to process the filtered signal;a second compressor configured to compress the processed signal with a second compressor;and a second gain amplifier configured to amplify the gain of the compressed signal and to output an output signal.
  3. 22
A method for processing an audio signal comprising:adjust a gain of the audio signal a first time, process the audio signal with a first low shelf filter, process the audio signal with a first high shelf filter, process the audio signal with a first compressor, process the audio signal with a second low shelf filter, process the audio signal with a second high shelf filter, process the audio signal with a graphic equalizer, process the audio signal with a second compressor, adjust the gain of the audio signal a second time, and output the audio signal.
