    WE CLAIM IS:1. Zeolite EU-2 having a molar composition expressed by the formula: 0.5 to 1.5 R2o : Y2O3 : at least 70 X02 : 0 to 100 H20 wherein R is a monovalent cation or ^/n of a cation of valency η, X is silicon and/or germanium, Y is one or more of aluminium, iron, gallium or boron, and H20 is water of hydration additional to water notionally present when R is H, and having an X-ray diffraction pattern substantially as set out in Table 1.

    Zeolite EU-2 as freshly made having a molar composition expressed by the formula:0 to 0.8 M20 : 1.0 to 50 Q : Y203 : 10 to 5000 X02 : 0 to 100 h2o wherein M is an alkali metal or ammonium,Q is a nitrogencontaining organic cation and M20 + Q 1.0, Y is one or more of aluminium, iron, gallium or boron and X is silicon and/or germanium, and having an X-ray diffraction pattern substantially as set out in Table 1.

    A method of making zeolite EU-2 as defined in claim 4 which comprises reacting an aqueous mixture comprising at least one oxide XC>2, at least one oxide Y2O3 and at least one alkylated derivative of a polymethylene α-ω diamine having the formula:11 JUU9&4, p,an amine degradation product thereof, or a precursor thereof, wherein n is in the range from 3 to 12, R, to R which may be the same or different, can be an alkyl Z/F or hydroxyalkyl group containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and up to five of the groups R^ to Rg can be l«(77fU 197291 14 hydrogen, the mixture having the molar composition: xo2/Y2o3 oh“/xo2 (M+ + Q)/Y2O3 Q/(M+ + Q) h2o/xo2 at least 70 0.1 to 6.0 0.5 to 100 0.1 to 1.0 1 to 100 where X is silicon and/or germanium, Y is one or more of aluminium, iron, gallium, boron, M is an alkali metal or ammonium and Q is the aforesaid alkylated derivative of a polymethylene diamine, an amine degradation product thereof, or a precursor thereof.
