Abstract

The invention relates to a generator / electric motor, in particular for wind turbines or cableway systems comprising a bearing, an annular stator (3) fixed to the bearing, an annular rotor (2) rotatable with respect to said stator (3), activating means coupled to the rotor (2) and permanent magnets and windings placed on opposite surfaces of the stator (3) and the rotor (2), respectively. According to the present invention, the rotor (2) and / or the stator (3) are again divided axially in different sectors into segments (4, 5) which are in contact with each other and are available in such a way that it is possible to insert or take out the sector (4, 5) in the axial direction, or the sector (4, 5) is provided with an opening allowing access to the windings (6) and / or permanent magnets (7).
