Procedures for creating flaw-resistant information object and related products are described. In one embodiment, a flaw resistant information article will be provided by creating a base (192) with an expanded metal core (206) which has extruded around a resinous plastic material (210). A magnetic storage media element (212) is attached to this base. An antenna (220) may be provided. In another embodiment, a lens is created by providing an extended transparent layer which forms a hologram (200) in the lower surface thereof and applying information to the hologram. The lens (190) is then attached to a base to provide protection around the information. In another embodiment, a preformed transparent hologram containing article has information added and then metallized. A protective resinous layer may be attached over the metallized layer. Printing may be provided on the hologram prior to metallization. A base member is protective under the modified metallized layer.
