Cover for electromagnetic treatment applicator
Abstract
(57) The disposable cover for a summary electromagnetism medical treatment applicator prevents potentially exposure to harmful radiation which is not desirable. This cover has the pouch Mr. Structure of having the back (medical treatment part side the side opposite to) which consists of shield material, for example, vapor deposition polyethylene. At least one pair of the cover parts which meet a medical treatment part consists only of non-shielding material. A fastener means, for example, an adhesion strip, ZIP*LOCK (registered trademark), or other link edges fix an applicator inside a cover, and block arbitrary leaks. The electromagnetism characteristic of a cover is included in a medical treatment applicator's circuit diagram, and an applicator stops functioning under of a cover absent in this way. An electromagnetism medical treatment applicator is inserted during a cover, and is stationed on the part which should be treated, and it is made for the non-shielding material of a cover or a "window" portion to come on a medical treatment part in the case of use. If it collects, the combination of an applicator/cover forms the network which stuck and aligned, in order to perform very efficient RF output. If it begins to operate, only by the generated electromagnetic energy leading an opening or a "window", it will leave a cover, and will prevent exposure of potentially as opposed to harmful radiation of a patient or a male nurse.

Bryns Zacco AS, 0106 Oslo (54) Designation Cover for electromagnetic treatment applicator (57) Summary Disposable cover (1) for electromagnetic treatment applicants prevents unwanted exposure to potentially harmful radiation. The cover has a pocket-like structure having a rear face (5) (facing opposite or away from the treatment area) made of a shattering material, such as metallized polyethylene. At least a portion of the coating facing the treatment area is constructed only of non-shielding material. Fasteners, such as fastener strips, ZIP-LOCK®, or other interlocking edges attach the applicator inside the cover and rods for leaks. The electromagnetic properties of the coating are integrated into the circuitry of the treatment applicator, so that the applicator does not work in the absence of the coating. In use, an electromagnetic treatment applicator is inserted into the coating and positioned over the treatment area, with the non-shielding or "window" portion of the coating overlying the treatment area. Once assembled, the applicator / cover combination creates a closely matched and tuned network to provide highly efficient RF output. When activated, the generated electromagnetic energy only goes out of the cover through the opening or "window", thereby preventing the patient or healthcare professional from being exposed to potentially harmful radiation. with the non-shielding or "window" portion of the coating overlying the treatment area.
