Abstract

High solids slurries of anatas titanium dioxide pigment comprising more than approx. 75% by weight of anatase-TiO2 pigment dispersed in water. A process is also described for preparing the slurries which comprise the steps of a) dry grinding anatastitanium dioxide pigment, preferably by pressure rolling, and b) grinding the dry ground pigment with water in the presence of an acrylic acid dispersant.
