Telecommunications connector
Abstract
A connector is a plug and a socket portion which, when assembled, form four shielded quadrants each containing a pair of contacts. Screen pieces inside the plug overlap each other and screen pieces inside the socket portion overlap one another, as well as overlapping screen pieces within the socket portion adjacent adjacent crimping connectors inside the plug when the plug and socket part are assembled. Overlapping between screen pieces at each joint between such pieces produces improved shielding and reduced crosstalk.
