Method and arrangement for measuring holding time in communication networks
Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for measuring holding time in a communication network. The use of traffic volume measurements and the number of call attempts from the previous as well as the current interval makes it possible to calculate the holding time parameters for calls generated during the current interval in a much more accurate way. The process can be incorporated into performance maintenance systems or any other system or tool that processes measurement results from network elements. As examples, three practical implementations are described.
