New stucco profile bent from metal plate, an inner wall containing such a stucco profile and a method for the production of this stucco profile.
This invention relates to a profile for use in plastering / plastering a wall or wall.
It is generally known that a plasterer often uses metal or plastic profiles when plastering walls.
A first known case is, for example, an angle profile which, for the actual plastering of the wall, is applied over an outward angle of a wall with the aid of a few studs of plaster. The corner profile is generally provided with perforations that allow you to perfectly align the corner profile with a spirit level, for example, whereby the plaster is pushed into the applied studs. After the corner profile has become stuck to the wall due to the hardening of the stud plaster, the plasterer can plaster the rest of the wall. An advantage of such a corner profile is that it serves as a guide for the plasterer's floor during plastering of the wall and that a perfectly finished corner is obtained in a simple manner with such a corner profile. Furthermore, the corner profile provides a reinforcement and protection of the corner after curing, which is certainly desirable with outside corners.
Similar conductor profiles are also known for large straight surfaces, which conductor profiles are first arranged vertically at a regular distance (typically about 75 to 100 cm) from each other, after which the plasterer fills the rest of the surface with plaster, passing over the slat can move these conductor profiles.
The Belgian patent document BE1017574A3 relates to a corner profile for use in plastering an inner corner of a wall, which consists of a central part in the form of an inner corner, on which both sides have lateral wings which are intended to place the corner profile in an inner corner of a wall and to be incorporated into the plaster and wherein the central part is intended to be able to rub the plaster evenly with the inner corner, so that this central part forms the actual inner corner of the finished wall after the plastering.
In addition to stucco profiles for interior walls, stucco profiles are known for exterior walls, for example wherein a stucco layer is applied to an insulating layer. See, for example, EP0789115A1 and EP2009194A2. Nowadays, such stucco profiles are combined with a reinforcement net to be integrated into the stucco layer that falls well outside the profile and with which the profile is better secured. This invention is not directed to use in an outer wall.
Plastic stucco profiles are also known, see for example DE3621235A1. However, this invention is only directed to stucco profiles of metal formed from flat sheet by a bending operation.
US 4,876,837 A discloses a metal corner line produced from a straight, flat strip for finishing a corner in a wall of drywall. The wings of this corner line contain, in addition to a perforation of large and small adhesive holes, a relief pressing of squares or other unnamed shapes in straight lines and columns that project on one surface and form protrusions on the other surface. This relief pressing is intended to improve the straightness of the corner line and as a surface roughness for a better adhesion of the material with which the corner is finished. On which surface the floors resp. protrusions, as well as their size and stocking density, are not disclosed. The embossing is not used to increase the grip for the machine for forming the stucco profile.
US 3 255 561 A discloses a metal corner line produced from a straight, flat strip for finishing a corner in a wall of drywall. The wings of this corner line contain, in addition to a perforation with nail holes, slotted holes and bonding holes, a ripple of protrusions on both surfaces, making them somewhat irregular. This corrugation acts as a spacer so that plaster material can crawl between the wing and the wall to be finished. A shape, size and stocking density of this ripple is not given. The ripple is not used to increase the grip for the machine for forming the stucco profile.
US 6 684 586 B1 discloses a roll of pre-machined extruded strip of polymeric material that is fully prepared to be manually bent in one movement and used as a (although not form-retaining) plastic corner line for finishing a corner in a wall of drywall. The wings of this corner line contain, in addition to a perforation of adhesive holes, depressions on one surface forming the outside, and ridges corresponding in location and shape on the other surface forming the inside. These impressions resp. ridges ensure better adhesion. The depth and height of the impressions resp. according to an example, ridges are 0.005 inch (0.127 mm) with a strip thickness of 0.025 inch (0.635 mm). Another dimension is not given. There is also no information about the stocking density and the design of the impressions and ridges. For optimum adhesion, it is proposed to make the strip from a polyolefin filled with minerals, such as polypropylene, with corona treatment. The indentations and ridges are not used to increase the grip for the extruder.
A plastic stucco profile is inferior to a metal stucco profile. The plastic stucco profile known from the above-mentioned US 6 684 586 B1 is even more unattractive because it in no way provides a corner line that is form-retaining in itself and is therefore particularly difficult to process by the stucco when finishing a corner in a wall . The production technique of a plastic stucco profile (extruding plastic made form-free by heating) differs greatly from that of a metal stucco profile (cold conversion of a flat metal strip).
The invention has for its object to further improve the known metal stucco profile for indoor use with a view to production, use by plasterers and durability.
It is thus proposed with the invention, see the appended claims, to design the part of the stucco profile intended to be embedded in the stucco, for example a corner profile, with a surface profiling or relief which is initially flat or smooth or smooth metal material (steel or aluminum with plate thickness less than 1 or 0.5 or 0.25 millimeter) has been pressed or pressed / rolled, so that material deformation occurred. The surface profiling may include pits, bulges or depressions or depressions and may be arranged in a regular pattern, preferably two-dimensional. In the case of press-throughs, the material can be pierced on site with the hole edge protruding or protruding, that is to say protruding from the plane of the plate material in the case of a cut-out / punched hole. The relief is preferably in the area with the large perforations through which the plaster is pressed during placement of the stucco profile against a wall.
Preference is given to a relief which keeps the sheet metal closed, thus not perforating it, in order to avoid sharp edges.
The relief can be made so that spherical, pyramid-shaped pits are formed, for example, metal plate surface with a pin with a spherical, conical or by pressing the conical or pyramidal end.
The relief is preferably at least 1 or 2 orders of magnitude greater than the surface roughness that is usual for metal stucco profiles, can be felt as a braille pattern with the fingertip, however, as a rule, the individual parts of the relief have a dimension very much smaller than the already known perforations for pressing through plaster and moreover there are many more per unit area. For example, the floor or elevation is at least 0.05 or 0.1 or 0.15 millimeters deep resp. high.
In a preferred embodiment, the relief is visible on both plate sides, a positive one side and negative on the other side, so a recess on one side and an elevation on the other side at the same place.
The floors are preferably located on the side of the stucco profile to be turned out.
The relief preferably consists of pits with a diameter not exceeding 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 or 3 mm and optionally with such a space between the pits or other profiling that there are between 3 and 7, such as 4 or 5 wells per linear 10 millimeter.
The relief improves the dimensional stability of the stucco profile and the stucco material (usually plaster or loam) adheres better to the profile. The plasterer can better hold the stucco profile. The machine for machining the stucco profile from a flat strip of metal has more grip to pull the sheet material through the machine.
Incidentally, metal building profiles have been known for a long time, for example for metal frame construction, with a surface relief as intended herein, intended to facilitate the impact of a nail. A stucco profile is not a construction profile but a finishing / protection profile and, in addition, tackability does not play any role in a stucco profile.
The wings of the stucco profile are further preferably provided with the perforations known per se through which excess plaster can protrude during placement of the stucco profile. These perforations have a diameter considerably larger than the relief referred to here, for example 5 mm or larger. Such perforations need not necessarily have a round shape, but may just as well be square, rectangular or star-shaped or may have any other shape suitable for the application.
In some cases even smaller perforations may be present with a much smaller dimension, so that the stucco profile can be easily folded, for example for use at an angle different from a right angle. These large and small perforations have smooth hole edges and therefore do not contribute to the relief referred to here.
The accompanying drawing shows in Fig. 1 a known corner profile in perspective, viewed from the outside, and Figs. 2, 3 and 4 show photographic images of the same embodiment of the corner profile of the invention.
As is also customary with the known corner profiles for plastering outer corners on walls, before the actual plasterings are started, a corner profile according to the invention is arranged against an angle of a wall 1 by means of the wings 2 which are therefore embedded in the band Aid.
This can be done by applying a few studs of plaster against the wall, after which the stucco profile is pressed into these studs of plaster until the desired position is reached, normally a position that is fixed with the spirit level. During depression of the stucco profile in the studs plaster, the perforations 4 will ensure that the plaster can be pressed through the stucco profile. In this way, the perforations 4 facilitate placement of the stucco profile.
After the studs of plaster have hardened, the stucco profile is firmly connected to the wall 1, after which the actual plastering of the wall 1 can begin. During the plastering of the surfaces of the wall 1 that are adjacent to the stucco profile, the traveling slat is then brushed over the raised central part 3, so that even plaster can be applied to the wall 1 and the wings 2 are evenly covered with plaster.
FIG. 2, 3 and 4 show the corner profile of the invention, fig.
in a representation similar to fig. 1, fig. 3 looking straight at the outside of one of the wings 2 and fig. 4 looking obliquely from above against an end. The relief is visible as a rectangular pattern of pits, similar to Braille. There are five pits per linear 10 mm. The pits are in the area with the perforations 4. The pits form recesses on the outside and bumps on the inside.
The stucco profile can be produced by cold-forming a flat metal strip which is pulled by the machine for forming the stucco profile from the flat strip of metal along the forming tools. The tool for pulling the strip along the forming tools engages with the embossing and therefore has more grip to pull the sheet material through the machine.
Of course, many different embodiments are possible that are by no means outside the scope of the present invention, for example a stucco profile other than a corner profile.
The invention is in no way limited to the embodiment of a stucco profile according to the invention described as an example and shown in the figures, but such a stucco profile can be realized in all sorts of other ways without departing from the scope of the invention.
