Table game system

Abstract

A table game system is provided capable of identifying shuffled playing cards used at the time of the occurrence of a problem in a card shoe apparatus, thereby enabling an investigation of the cause thereof or the taking of countermeasures therefor. A card shoe apparatus (2) of the table game system of the present invention includes a barcode reader (100) that reads a barcode (3) provided in a shuffled playing card set (1s), thereby reading a shuffled card ID that uniquely identifies the shuffled playing card set (1 s). Also, a lid (2f) for enabling the entry/removal of the shuffled playing card set (1 s) is provided in an upper portion of the card shoe apparatus (2). A sensor (S) for detecting the opening/closing of the lid (2f) is provided under the lid (2f} to detect the opening/closing of the lid (2f), thereby detecting replacement of the shuffled playing card set (1s). A control unit (12) further includes a function of storing the following security items in connection with a shuffled card ID: (1) a reading error of a code (C) of a card (1) in a cord reading unit (8) (in the case of a false card, the code (C) is not present in the card (1) or a false code (C) is printed on the card (1), and these will be determined a irregular by the card reading unit (8)) and (2) replacement of the shuffled playing card set (1 s) (such replacement is determined by detecting the opening/closing of the lid (2f)).

3 claims: 1 independent, 2 dependent

  1. 1
Claim 1 A table game system comprising:a shuffled playing card set (1s) consisting of playing cards (1) made up of a plurality of number of decks shuffled to have a unique arrangement order, a uniquely identifiable shuffled card ID (3) being attached to the shuffled playing card set (1s) as an ID code;and a means (200) capable of identifying the shuffled card ID (3);a card shoe apparatus (2) that houses the shuffled playing card set (1s) such that cards (1) which compose the shuffled playing card set (1s) are manually dealt one by one onto a game table, and a database (400) accessibly connected to the card shoe apparatus (2), the card shoe apparatus (2) comprising: a card housing unit (2C) for housing the shuffled playing card set (1s);an opening (13) for drawing cards (1) from the card housing unit (2C) one by one;a card reading unit (8) that reads from a card (1) drawn from the card housing unit (2C) onto the game table information contained in the said card (1) on a rank thereof;a control unit (12) that stores rules of a card game and includes a winner/loser determination unit (10) that determines the winner/loser of the card game based on the information on the ranks of the cards (1) read by the card reading unit (8);and a display unit that outputs a result of the winner/loser determined by the winner/loser determination unit (10), wherein the control unit (12) has a function of storing the uniquely identifiable shuffled card ID (3), and identifies the current, shuffled playing card set (1s) used in the current game by the shuffled card ID (3), and the database (400) stores game table information indicating one of game tables in which an identified current shuffled playing card set (1s) is used, wherein the database (400) stores information on: (1) the start time of each of a plurality of games played using the identified shuffled playing card set (1s), (2) the end time of each of the plurality of games played using the identified shuffled playing card set (1s), and (3) the time when the next game starts with a new shuffled playing card set (1s), and wherein the database (400) determines the time period when the shuffled playing card set (1s) is used in the table game system by using at least one of the 10 information of (1) and (2).
  2. 2
Claim 2 A table game system according to claim 1, wherein the occurrence of a specified event is stored with the time of the 15 occurrence thereof.
  3. 3
Claim 3 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ordinal number of the card subject of the occurrence of a 20 specified event among the shuffled playing card set (1s) set in the card shoe apparatus (2), or the ordinal number of the game subject of the occurrence of a specified event among the games played with the shuffled playing card set (1s) is stored. 25 Claim 4 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a transmission apparatus (300) for externally transmitting the occurrence of a specified event with the shuffled card ID (3). 30 Claim 5 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the database (400) stores at least one of the following items (i) to (xi) in connection with the shuffled card ID (3) identified in relation to the current AMENDMENT shuffled playing card set (1s) currently used in a game:(i) the game table used;(ii) the dealer (person who draws cards) in charge of the game table used;(iii) the start time of the use of the identified shuffled playing card set (1s);(iv) the end time of the use of the identified shuffled playing card set (1s);(v) the time period when the identified shuffled playing card set (1 s) was present on the game table;(vi) information concerning the pit or the card room where the identified shuffled playing card set (1s) is managed before it is delivered to the relevant game table;(vii) information concerning the process of disposal of the identified shuffled playing card set (1 s) after its use at the game table;(viii) information on whether all of the identified shuffled playing card set (1s) has reached a disposal apparatus;(ix) information concerning the pit or the card room where the shuffled playing card set (1 s) identified in advance is managed before it is delivered to the relevant game table;(x) information concerning the win and lose at the game table where the identified shuffled playing card set (1s) is used;and (xi) information on the purchase or procurement of the identified shuffled playing card set (1 s). Claim 6 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the input means (200) of information capable of identifying the shuffled card ID (3) is configured to obtain shuffled card ID (3) by a communication means. Claim 7 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a card entry/exit restriction means (30) that is provided on the opening (13) and that restricts the entry/exit of a card to/from the card housing unit (2C), the control unit (12) having a function to activate the card entry/exit restriction means (30) when the specified event occurs while the shuffled playing card set (1 s) is used on the game table. Claim 8 5 A table game system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein a set code (SC) is printed on each card (1) which composes the shuffled playing card set (1s), the card reading unit (8) reads the set code (SC) on the card (1), and the control unit (12) checks whether the read-out set code (SC) is the same as a predetermined set code, and wherein the specified event which 10 occurs while the shuffled playing card set (1s) is used on the game table contains a case where the read-out set code (SC) is not the same as the predetermined set code.
