Process for obtaining a device of a retro reflective material with a radio frequency device.
Abstract
The present invention refers to a process for demetallizing a retro reflective or reflective material with a radio frequency device, which consist in removing metal deposits adhered to the material by means of exposing the same to determined chemical solutions. The process is based on the flexographic, offset, screen printing methods or any method that uses printing rollers for transferring the chemical substance, in place of common inks, to the retro reflective or reflective material in order to subsequently insert the radio frequency device (aluminum or copper antenna) into the demetallized zone.

(57) Summary
The present invention refers to a process of demetallization of retro-reflective or reflective material with a radio frequency device, which consists in the removal of adhered metal deposits by exposing this material to certain chemical solutions. The process is based on the flexographic, offset, screen printing or other printing method, which uses the printing rollers that will transfer the chemical substance in substitution of normal inks to the retro reflective or reflective material, so that the radio device is inserted later frequency (aluminum or copper antenna) in the demetallized area.

Obtaining process of reflective material device with radio frequency device
Description of the Invention 5
The present invention refers to a process of obtaining a device of retro-reflective or reflective material used for the production of plate or badge decals for all types of vehicles and road signs, which is characterized by a gloss effect without being annoying for the eyes since it reflects light or> in the same direction, with a radio frequency device.
In order to include a radio frequency device (consisting of a chip and an antenna) it is necessary to carry out a process to remove the metal content (aluminum or other) from the retro-reflective or reflective material, which prevents transmission or reception, since the radiation is absorbed by the material and does not allow the radio frequency antenna to capture this energy and activate the chip device. The above occurs regardless of the position in which the device is placed, since the distortion / absorption effect of radio waves (power) to activate the device are affected in any way. To avoid the above, the demetallizing process is carried out, which will be described below:
Figure 1 shows the process, which is started by removing the liner (inner protective layer of metal) or material protector, which is exposed to a corrosive process of flexo, offset, screen printing or others. Once the printing method has been chosen, mechanical plates are generated with the patterns and areas to be demetallized and the demetallizing process begins by exposing the metal to corrosive agents composed of sodium hydroxide. (Patent Application No. 010968 and 010969 in addition to Application No. 101 21 126 from the German Patent Office)

Subsequently, a fine demetallization is carried out in grids (figure 2) on the entire surface of the material to break conductivity and the absorption of radio waves and allow them to be captured by the antenna of the radio frequency device.
Figure 3 shows the process to stop the demetallizing process, where it is washed with water and subjected to a drying process, once the material dries it continues with the printing process, where the inks are already applied with the print heads They are of fixed or variable information, and all this online in WEB or coil process.
ME
Once this process is completed, a radio frequency device is placed in the de-metallized area as shown in figure 4.
This demetallizing process can be applied to decals for all kinds of Λ5 vehicles in a self-adhering way with automobile plates, platform tracts,
-and container, vehicle control applications or others with variable information for writing and reading and biometric information such as fingerprints, irises, facial recognition, voice recognition, and others with photography and applications for traffic violations, toxicology or others. We will call this device the third plate.
<img file="MXPA02003202A_D0001.tif" />
It is also applied to metal plates made of galvanized sheet, acrylic polycarbonate or any other material, in which case the surface of the metal plate should be embossed enough to place an insulator between the sheet and the device to allow adequate transmission and reception of the device, Once isolated and wrapped, the radio frequency device is placed and then laminated with the demetallized retro-reflective material for proper operation as shown in Figure 5.
This demetallization process is advantageous because it gives us a retro reflective or reflective material, which is not annoying to the naked eye since it reflects light in the same direction, and in which a radio frequency device can already be inserted.
CONFIDENTIAL 2 that allows transmitting the signal to the outside or receiving it, without any interference.
