Paper sack

The invention relates to a paper sack (10) for bulk material, such as cement, granulate, animal feed or similar, having a bottom (12), preferably a cross bottom or block bottom, and having a top part (14) which lies opposite the bottom and in which optionally a valve hose (15) for filling the paper sack is arranged, wherein the paper sack comprises a coated paper layer (20) having a gas-tight coating that faces towards the inside of the sack, wherein the coating forms the surface of the inner wall of the paper sack in contact with the filling material, and wherein the coated paper layer has an overlap (22) that is adhesively secured effecting a seal towards the inside of the sack, and wherein in the region of the overlap the layer of the coated paper layer facing towards the inside of the sack has perforations (38) that are covered by the layer of the coated paper layer facing towards the outside of the sack.
