COMMERCIALIZATION SYSTEM WITH PUSH ASSEMBLY FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This description refers in general to the display of products on a shelf. More particularly, the present description refers to the storage and / or display of products that includes a presentation of product groups in which space is saved within a given or fixed exhibition area, and / or that allows a presentation, distribution, supply, and storage of products in a practical and orderly manner.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Several types of retail products are commonly used in retail environments to display different types of products. Instead of simply placing products on shelves, product displays are commonly used to place products on a shelf in such a way that it automatically advances (eg. through gravity or a pusher) a lagged or distal product (namely, a product that is behind the first or the most proximal product) closer to a user once the first product is removed from the shelf. As can be seen, such product displays facilitate the arrangement and maintenance of the products, since the products that are at the end do not have to be moved manually towards the front of the shelf, for example.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This description refers to a marketing system for the display of a plurality of products. The marketing system comprises a base and a pusher element. The base includes a product support surface and a rail arranged below the product support surface. The base defines a longitudinal axis. The pusher element is arranged in mechanical cooperation with the base and is configured to slide longitudinally with respect to the base. The pusher element includes a surface that makes contact with the base and a plurality of downward legs that depend on the surface that makes contact with the base. Each leg of the plurality of legs is configured to mechanically engage the rail. The rail includes a discontinuity to allow the legs of the pusher element to be selectively and mechanically coupled to the rail.
In the embodiments described, the discontinuity in the rail is between a more proximal end of the rail and a more distal end of the rail. Here, it is described that the rail extends proximally from the discontinuity and that the rail extends distally from the discontinuity.
In the embodiments described, the rail includes a plurality of spaced tabs.
In the embodiments described, the plurality of legs includes a first leg disposed on a first lateral side of the pusher element and a second leg disposed on a second lateral side of the pusher element. Here, it is described that each of the first leg and the second leg includes a vertical portion disposed in contact with the surface that makes contact with the base of the pusher element and a horizontal portion extending from the vertical portion to the second leg . The horizontal portion of the second leg extends from the vertical portion to the first leg. Here, it is described that each of the first leg and the second leg includes a substantially L-shaped cross section.
In the embodiments described, at least one leg of the plurality of legs includes a substantially L-shaped cross section.
In the embodiments described, the base includes a lower surface and a separation. The separation is defined between the bottom surface and the product support surface. In this document, it is described that the rail is arranged at least partially within the separation. It is further described that the rail is completely disposed within the separation. Here, it is described that the rail includes a plurality of spaced tabs. It is further described that each tongue of the plurality of spaced tongues includes a width that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The discontinuity includes at least one more tongue having a smaller width than an adjacent tongue of the plurality of spaced tongues.
In the embodiments described, a distal section of the base is configured to be removed in order to effectively shorten a part of the marketing system. In this document, it is described that the system further comprises a distal portion disposed distally of the distal section of the base. The distal portion is selectively removed from the distal section of the base, and the distal portion is reinstalled with another section of the base after the distal section of the base has been removed. It is further described that the distal portion includes a portion of the rail. Here, it is described that the pusher element is configured to slide along an entire rail both before the distal portion has been removed, and after the distal section of the base is removed and the distal portion reinstalled . It is further described that the distal portion includes a strip that extends proximally configured to mechanically engage a cut of the base.
In the embodiments described, a plurality of distal sections of the base is configured to be removed individually to effectively shorten a part of the marketing system. Here, the marketing system further comprises a distal portion disposed distally of the distal section of the base. The distal portion is selectively removed from a more distal section of the base, and the distal portion is reinstalled with another section of the base after any number of the plurality of distal sections of the base has been removed.
In the embodiments described, the system further comprises a proximal element disposed adjacent to a proximal end of the base, and a bias element mechanically attached to both the pusher element and the proximal element. The bias element is configured to proximally skew the pusher element.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The modalities of the marketing system that is currently disclosed are described in detail with reference to the drawings where similar numbers designate identical or corresponding elements in each of the different views. As is common in the art, the term "proximal" refers to that part or component closest to the user, eg the customer, while the term "distal" refers to that part or component furthest from the user.
Generally, with particular reference to Figures 1-3, a marketing system 10 is described that includes a plurality of guide assemblies 100. Each guide assembly 100 includes a base
200, a thrust assembly 300, a pair of side guides 400, a distal section 450, and a proximal element 500. The base 200, which is designed to be placed on a horizontal or included store shelf, is configured to support a plurality of "P" products thereon. The thrust assembly 300 is configured to drive a product (s) "P" on the base 200 towards the proximal element 500. The lateral guides 400 are arranged in mechanical cooperation with the base 200 (eg they are integrally formed therewith, connectable thereto, etc.) and help to keep the "P" products on the base 200. A distal rail 452 of the distal section 450 and the proximal element 500 are also configured to help maintain the "P" products on the base 200.
A marketing system 10 includes a plurality of guide assemblies 100. In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 2A, the marketing system 10 includes five guide assemblies 100, which, as shown, includes six lateral guides 400. In the embodiments described, the marketing system 10 includes more, or less than five guide assemblies 100 and that the number of side guides 400 is equal to one more than the number of guide assemblies 100. As can be seen, several marketing systems 10 can be placed adjacent to each other on a shelf.
With reference to Figures 4-9, the base 200 includes a product support surface 210, a bottom surface 220, a gap 230, a plurality of longitudinally extending ribs 240, and a rail 250. The support surface of the product 210 is the portion on which the "P" products are placed. The lower surface 220 is the lower part of the base 200. The gap 230 is the space between the support surface of the product 210 and the bottom surface 220. The ribs 240 extend along at least a portion of the base 200 between a proximal end 202 of the base 200 and an end distal 204 of base 200 (see Figure 3), and are configured to provide stability to base 200 and reduce friction when a product "P" slides along the support surface of product 210, for example. The rail 250 includes a plurality of spaced tabs 252 that are placed within the gap 230. The rail 250 is configured to guide the legs 340 of the thrust assembly 300 (as discussed in greater detail below).
Referring now to Figures 3-13, the thrust assembly 300 includes a pusher element 310 and a bias element 360 (eg a spiral spring). The pusher element 310 includes a horizontal element 320 and a substantially vertical element 321. In the polished mode, the vertical element 321 has an arcuate shape, which is configured to correspond to the contour of the product "P" (eg bottle) leaning against it. The horizontal element 320 includes an upper surface 322 (eg to support a "P" product), and a lower surface (or surface that makes contact with the base) 324 that is configured to slide longitudinally along the surface of product support 210 of the base 200. The horizontal element 320 also includes a proximal portion 326, and a distal portion 328. The proximal portion 326 is configured to support a more distal product "P" thereon, and the distal portion 328 supports at least a portion of the bias element 360 thereon (Figure 4). The horizontal element 320 also includes a rail 330 (Figures 5 and 11) within its lower surface 324, and an opening 332 (Figures 5, 7 and 11) extending between the upper surface 322 and the lower surface 324. A portion of the bias element 360 extends through the opening 332 and along the rail 330.
The pusher element 310 also includes a plurality of legs 340 (Figures 5, 8A, 8B, 9 and 11-13) extending below the bottom surface 324 of the horizontal element 320. With particular reference to Figure 11, the assembly Thrust 300 includes a first leg 340a, a second leg 340b, a third leg 340c and a fourth leg 340d. In the illustrated embodiments, each leg 340 includes a vertical portion 342, and a horizontal portion 344 (Figure 12) extending inwardly from the vertical portion 342, such that each leg 340 includes a substantially shaped cross-section. L. When the thrust assembly 300 is coupled with the base 200, the legs 340 of the thrust assembly 300 extend below the support surface of the product 210 of the base 200 and are mechanically coupled to the tabs 252 of the rail 250, and they are longitudinally slidable along rail 250. More particularly, and with particular reference to Figure 9, when the thrust assembly 300 and the base 200 are mechanically coupled, the vertical portion 342 of each leg 340 rests or is adjacent to a side wall 254 of the tongue 252 , and the horizontal portion 344 of each leg 340 rests or is adjacent to a Bottom wall 256 of the tongue 252.
This coupling between the legs 340 of the pusher element 310 and the rail 250 of the base 200 helps to ensure that the pusher element 310 is maintained on the base 200 during the use of the marketing system 10. More particularly, when a pair of forces to the marketing system (eg. during the loading of the marketing system 10 with products "P," when a shopping cart of a consumer collides with the marketing system 10 or the shelf on which the marketing system 10 is placed, etc.) the coupling between the pusher element 310 (eg legs 340) and base 200 (eg rail 250) helps prevent pusher element 310 from falling off. For example, when a downward force is applied to the right side of the pusher element 310 (e.g. during the torsion of the marketing system 10), the legs 340a and 340b on the left side of the pusher element 310 are forced upwards. The coupling between the horizontal portions 344 of these legs 340 and 340b and the bottom wall 256 (Figure 9) of a tongue 252 of the rail 250 helps prevent the pusher member 310 from separating from the base 200 at that location. In addition, the coupling between the legs 340 and the rail 250 helps prevent the pusher member 310 from being intentionally separated from the base 200 (eg by vandals).
With particular reference to Figure 4, to install the pusher element 310 in the base 200, a user places each leg 340 adjacent to a shortened tongue 253 (namely, a discontinuity in the rail 250), and moves the pusher element 310 proximally or distally such that the horizontal portion 344 of each leg is under a tongue 252 or a shortened tongue 253 of the rail 250. It is envisioned that instead of, or in addition to shortened tabs 253, the rail 250 includes a space between adjacent tabs 252 large enough to accommodate the legs 340 of the pusher member 310. In addition, it is provided that the shortened tabs 253 (and / or the large space) are located in one or a plurality of locations between the proximal end 202 and the distal end 204 of the base 200 (eg not the most proximal portion of the base 200 and not the most distal portion of the base 200 ).
With reference to Figure 3, the proximal element 500 of the marketing system 10 is configured to be assembled to a proximal end of the base 200 through a pressurized connection, for example. It is envisioned that at least a portion of the proximal element 500 is transparent or translucent to allow a consumer to see a more proximal portion of the product "P1" through the marketing system 10. In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, the proximal element 500 has an arcuate shape, which is configured to correspond to the contour of the product "P" (eg bottle) resting against it. It is also provided that the proximal element 500 includes an empty portion 510. The empty portion 510 allows the most proximal product "P1" to be better seen by a consumer, allows the more proximal product "ΡΓ to be taken by a consumer in order to facilitate the purchase of the products" P, "and / or facilitates the loading of the "P" products in the marketing system 10, eg by a store employee.
With particular reference to Figures 8A and 8B, a lower surface 522 of a base 520 of the proximal element 500 includes a pin 530 extending downward thereof. The pin 530 is configured to mechanically engage a hole 362 disposed in a proximal portion 364 of the bias element 360 (see also Figure 3). Therefore, when the hole 362 is coupled with the pin 530 (Figure 8B), the bias element 360, and thus the thrust assembly 300, mechanically joins the proximal element 500.
In addition, the marketing system 10 is configured to be used on shelves of different depths (ie, the distance at which the shelf extends from the wall / support). Specifically, the portions of the guide assemblies 100 can be broken or removed to effectively shorten the length of the guide assemblies 100. More particularly, and with reference to Figures 3, 4, 14A and 14B, base 200 includes separation characteristics 260, and side guides 400 include separation characteristics 410, which allow selective removal of portions of base 200 and of the side guides 400 to shorten the length of the guide assemblies 100.
Referring now to Figures 14A and 14B, the distal section 450 includes the distal rail 452, distal base 460, and distal lateral walls 470. The distal base 460 includes a proximally extending strip 462 that is configured to engage and connect with a corresponding cut 262, disposed at a distal end of the base 200. Accordingly, the distal section 450 can be removed (Figure 14A), and reinstalled (Figure 14B) after one or more portions of the base 200 and side guides 400 have been removed.
In addition, the thrust assembly 300 of the marketing system 10 can still function properly through the separation features 260 and 410, the proximally extending strip 462 and the cut 262, after some or all portions of the base 200 and the side guides 400 have been removed, and after the distal section 450 has been removed and reinstalled.
The present description also includes a method for displaying items using the marketing system 10 described above, and a method for coupling the thrust assembly 300 with the base 200, as mentioned above.
Although several modalities of the description have been shown in the figures, it is not intended that the description be limited to them, since it is intended that the description be as broad in scope as the technique allows and that the specification be read in the same way. way. Therefore, the above description should not be construed as limiting, but merely as exemplifications of various modalities. Those skilled in the art will contemplate other modifications within the scope and spirit of the claims attached to this document.
