A compression device for the foot comprising: a wrap (2) adapted to surround the foot, the wrap comprising at least two bladders (6,10) which when inflated conform to the shape of the foot to provide compression, the bladders (6,10) being positioned on the wrap (2) so that a first bladder (10) focuses compression on the heel of the foot and a second bladder (6) focuses compression, on the arch of the foot; a channel (22) attached to each bladder (6,10) for independently delivering fluid to each bladder (5,10) ; and a controller attached to the channels (22) that generates and independently controls the flow of fluid to the bladders. A compression device for the foot comprising: a wrap (2) adapted to surround the foot, the wrap comprising at least two bladders (6,10) which when inflated conform to the shape of the foot to provide compression, the bladders (6,10) being positioned on the wrap (2) so that a first bladder (10) focuses compression on the heel of the foot and a second bladder (6) focuses compression, on the arch of the foot; a channel (22) attached to each bladder (6,10) for independently delivering fluid to each bladder (5,10) ; and a controller attached to the channels (22) that generates and independently controls the flow of fluid to the bladders. The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for the sustained release of C-peptide said composition being in the form of a gel comprising C- peptide wherein gel formation is achieved by the adjustment of pH of the composition and/or by addition of divalent metal ions and wherein said composition does not include any other gel-forming agents. Methods for producing the composition, medical uses of the composition and products containing two or more gel compositions as a combined preparation are also encompassed.
