The volvophic Dunaliella Salina Teod. Calu-834 alga strain - producer of albuminous carotene biomass

The invention relates to the microorganisms strains-producers of albuminous carotene biomass. The purpose of the invention consists in obtaining an alga strain having an increased content of β-carotene and protein. The obtained strain may be utilized in the microbiologic industry for proteins and β-carotenes extraction as a vitaminic and stimulating forage additive in the animal food, as well as for refuse utilization. The dry biomass of the strain contains 38-43% of proteins, 31-36% of glycerine, 6-9% ofβ-carotene, 5-9% of mineral residue. The strain is favourably multiplied in the residual waters of the poultry combined works.
