Doormat-support set.
The present invention relates to a doormat-support assembly and more particularly to a doormat-support assembly, the two elements of which meet and separate very easily, and this for a long period of time.
In order not to introduce dust which adheres to the soles of shoes into houses, a doormat is very frequently used. This mat is placed in a specific place, for example at the entrance, and it must not be able to move easily even if a shoe sole is rubbed vigorously on it or that many people step in and out. In addition, its ends or corners should not lift or roll up easily.
To meet these requirements, an assembly consisting of the doormat and a doormat support is preferably used. The Japanese utility model 1606/74 proposes such an assembly comprising a sheet of thermoplastic resin, such as vinyl chloride resin, of oblong, oval or other shape and a removable mat placed inside a projection forming frame made around the perimeter of the sheet.
However, if the doormat is simply placed inside the protrusion made around the perimeter of the stand, it may shift and its corners may turn over. There is a system for doormats which is as follows: a doormat is rented to a user for a certain period of time, the doormat which has been used is washed and regenerated by a water treatment.1 impregnation with oil or the like and the regenerated mat is again rented to a user. When this cycle of use and regeneration is repeated, the mat shrinks and its size no longer corresponds to that of the protrusion of the support. Therefore, it is preferable to put a temporary anchoring device between the mat and the support.
A device called magic tape, which is the union of an anchoring element comprising engagement pieces implanted in a base support fabric and a loop element, has been used heretofore as a temporary anchoring device. fibers. This magic tape gives satisfactory results in the case of the assembly of supple materials, such as fiber fabrics, but used for the above-mentioned doormat-support, this anchoring device does not have sufficient durability. and its adaptability to the operations of fixing and removing the mat deteriorates quickly.
The present invention is the result of research aimed at developing a mat-support assembly which does not exhibit the above-mentioned defects.
More specifically, the present invention provides a doormat-support assembly comprising a support comprising a sheet of elastomeric polymer, a frame projection formed around the perimeter of this sheet and integral with it and a cavity made on the inner side of this projection. , a mat placed in this cavity and a device for temporarily anchoring the mat to the support at a series of points around the perimeter of the sheet, and characterized in that an anchoring element comprising engagement pieces implanted in a base support fabric is secured to the doormat support, a fiber loop element, being able to be engaged with the engagement pieces, is sewn to the doormat and the periphery of the anchor element is fused to the backing sheet while, in the remaining part of the anchor element, the engagement pieces are left as they are.
The invention is hereinafter described in detail with the aid of the accompanying drawings in which:
- Figure 1 is a sectional view of the doormat support,
- Figure 2 is a sectional view of the doormat and
- Figure 3 is a perspective view of a portion of the mat-support assembly with one corner of the mat raised.
The doormat support 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises an oblong or oval sheet 2 and a projection forming a frame 3 provided around the periphery of this sheet 2. This sheet and this projection are in one piece an. elastomeric polymer, and a cavity 4 intended to receive the mat is provided on the inner side of the projection 5.
As elastomeric polymers, there may be mentioned, for example, a composition based on plasticized vinyl chloride resin, a chlorinated polyethylene, a chlorinated polypropylene, an ethylene-propylene copolymer, an ethylene-propylene diene copolymer, a polyiaobutylene, a butyl rubber. , a polybutadiene, a styrene-butadiene copolymer, a butadiene-acrylic nitrile copolymer and a polyurethane. The elastomeric polymer sheet must be heat weldable. From this point of view, it is preferable to use as the elastomeric polymer a plasticized vinyl chloride resin.
The doormat 5 shown in FIG. 2 comprises a basic support fabric 6, bristles 7 obtained by lining the basic support fabric 6 with tufts of fibers and by cutting the ends thereof, and an underlayer 8 used to fix the bristles 7 to the base support fabric 6. The pile 7 can be twisted or untwisted yarns composed of at least one of the following group: cotton fibers, rayon fibers, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, acrylic fibers and nylon fibers. The base carrier fabric may be a knitted or woven fabric, a non-woven fabric or a net composed of the above fibers, a plastic net or the like. The underlayer 8 is made by coating the envera of the tufted base carrier fabric with an emulsion of synthetic elaatom, eg, butadiene-acrylic nitrile copolymer, and drying the applied emulsion.
The bristles 7 of the doormat adsorb the dust which adheres to the shoelaces of the shoes by friction with them and retain this dust. To increase the adsorption and dust retention power of the bristles 7, they can be coated or impregnated with a dust adsorbing liquid. As lea poush adsorbent liquid
Beers, for example, there may be mentioned synthetic or vegetable mineral oils such as fluid paraffin, spit oil, alkylbenzene oil, diester oil and castor oil and the aqueous dust adsorbers disclosed in Japanese patents 10194 / 7Θ and 37471 / 7Θ.
In the present invention, it is possible, instead of the aforementioned tufted mat, to use a mat made by electrostatic implantation of fiber flakes in a base support fabric *.
The present invention provides a device for temporarily anchoring the mat 5 to the support 1 at a series of points around the periphery of the mat.
As shown in Figures 1 and 3, this temporary anchoring device comprises an anchoring element 11 com15 carrying hook or mushroom type engagement pieces 10 implanted in a base support fabric 9 and a fiber loop element. 12 which can engage with the pieces 10. The combination of the anchor element 11 and the fiber loop element 12 is called magic tape and is sold for example under the brand name Belclo Fastener. The engagement pieces 10 of the anchor member 11 are made of nylon or polypropylene and are inserted into a base support fabric of nylon fibers or other thermoplastic fibers while the other side of the support fabric base is coated with a resin, for example polyurethane, intended to fix the engagement parts. The fiber loop member 12 is obtained by implanting looped fibrous yarns into a similar base carrier fabric.
In the present invention, the looped element 12 is fixed to the back of the mat 5 by stitching points 13 and the anchoring element 11 is fixed to the sheet part 2 of the support 1.
For this, as shown in figure 1, the periphery 14 of the anchoring element 11 is fused to the sheet 2 while the engagement pieces 10 are left as they are in the remaining central part of the element. anchor 11.
This fusion union is very strong (very high resistance to tearing) and the assembly is sufficiently resistant to a large number of operations of attachment and removal of the mat, to prolonged exposure to in5 temperatures and to immersion of the mat. long lasting in cold or hot water.
On the periphery 14 of the anchoring element 11, as the latter is united by fusion to the sheet 2 of the support, the engagement pieces 10 are flattened or pressed towards the 1D sheet 2, maie in the remaining part 15 of the support. the anchoring element 11, they are left as they are and the desired anchoring effect can be obtained between them and the fiber loop element 12.
One of the reasons why the union between the support 15 1 and the anchoring element 11 is very strong is naturally that the polymer constituting the sheet of the support is united by fusion to the base support fabric or to the pieces of support. engagement of the anchoring element 11 or its coating. However, it is believed that another important reason is that the elastomeric polymer constituting the backing sheet fits into the base support fabric of the anchor member 11 and the engagement pieces 10 of the same member. 11 are inserted into the sheet 2 by passing through the base support fabric of the element 11, which increases the mechanical effect of engagement or anchoring between the sheet 2 and the anchoring element 11 .
The anchoring element 11 can easily be fused together with the mat support 1 by putting them on top of each other and compressing the assembly hot with two hot sealing bars. The heating temperature may be between the softening point of the polymer constituting the sheet 2 and the melting or softening point of the base support fabric of the anchoring element. Sufficient pressure may be applied to flatten or tamp the engagement pieces 10 of the anchor member 11, for example a gauge pressure of 0.1 to 20 bar. It is advantageous to use a high frequency heater.
By placing a polyurethane resin adhesive between the anchor member and the backing to be fused together, the adhesion at the interface can be further increased. The coating of the anchoring element is of polyurethane reins, this increases the adhesion.
It is preferable to use a polyurethane resin having end groups blocked by an alcohol, a phenol or an amine, that is, a heat-sensitive adhesive polyurethane resin.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the blocked isocyanate and a polyalcohol such as polyether or polyester polyalcohol are mixed in stoichiometric proportions, the mixture, each of which is preferably solid and which is also preferably solid. at room temperature, is applied in solution or melted at a temperature not exceeding 95 ° C on the reverse side of the anchoring element, the anchoring element is applied to the place provided on the sheet of the aupport and the assembly is heated by high frequency to a temperature of
170 at 190 ° C under a gauge pressure of 0.1 to 20 bars, which produces the dissociation of the blocked isocyanate into free isocyanate and then the reaction between the reactivated isocyanate group and the coexisting polyalcohol, which leads to the formation in situ of a polyurethane resin and to .25 * an increase in adhesion.
For example, Cellonate® AP (Nippon Polyurethane Industries Co.), obtained by reacting toluylene diiaocyanate and trimethylolpropane, followed by the addition of phenol to block the remaining isocyanate groups, is mixed with Placcer® '220 ( Daicel Chem. Induatries Co.), a polyester polyalcohol formed by ring-opening polymerization of caprolactone, in weight proportions of 1: 2, and the mixture is mixed with 0.33 wt% cobalt octenoate and then melted to about 95%.evs.
The molten product is applied to the reverse side of the anchor in a layer 0.1 to 0.8 mm thick. The coated anchor is applied to the desired location on the support and heated at high frequency to about 185 ° C for 5 seconds under a pressure of 2 bar. Because of this process, the anchoring element is entirely united to the surface of the aupport and cannot be torn off again.
The blocked isocyanate and polyalcohol can be applied to the reverse side of the anchor in solution in tetrahydrofuran or methyl ethyl ketone, and after application the solvent can be evaporated.
As other blocked isocyanates, blocked 4,4-diieocyanate-diphenylmethane per dee xylenols or methyl ethyl ketone oxime and the addition compound trimethylolpropane-toluylene-diieocyanate blocked with 2,4-dichloro-phenol can be used.
As other polyalcohols, Deemophen 650 (Bayer GmbH) and Nippolan 4009 or 4010 (Nippon Polyu15 rethane Industries Co.) can be used as a polyether polyelcoole and also Plutonic Polyol (Wyandotte Chem. Corp.) as a polyether polyalcohol. These sugar alcohols must be stabilized at room temperature so that they can be kept safe in all seasons. .
Dana assembles paillaaeon-eupport of the preaents invention, the periphery of the anchoring element, which is important from the point of view of the mechanical realatance and the abeence of winding, and united by fusion to the sheet of the support, embedded therein, holds that the engagement pieces of the central part of the anchoring element have the same. which. Therefore, the mat-mat assembly of the invention is advantageous in that the anchoring eubeiate for a long time even when the operations of attaching and removing the mat are repeated in a large number of times.
