TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to chairs, in particular compact, mobile, folding, folding, travel chairs which can be easily folded and placed in a bulky package.
TECHNICAL LEVEL
The chair has long been invented in the world for seating, but over time and as new needs arise, new chairs have been created, with new features and unique designs.
U.S. Pat. US3674306, published 1972; July 4 This patent describes a compact folding chair with a seat, backrest, seat and backrest joints and four legs. This chair is folding and, when folded, resembles a diplomat: the backrest consists of a seat and the legs are folded into the hollow of the seat. The main advantage of this design is its compactness, but the construction of the chair itself is neither stable nor rigid.
Also known is U.S. Pat. US2009167063, published May 2009 July 2 This patent describes a compact folding chair having legs, each of which is fastened at one end to the seat and at another angle to the annular base. Using two types of axial type joints, the legs of an adjacent chair are connected through a central angle at a certain angle, forming an "X" shape. In this way, the center legs are rotated relative to each other, allowing the chair to be folded. The above ring gives the structure stability. However, the weakness of this design is the leg joints: one type of joint is screws and the other is special nipples. When folding / folding the chair, sitting, sitting and getting off the chair, the main force acts on these connections, causing the bolts to wear out quickly. A similar situation exists with special nipples, with one foot pressing the nipple to one side and the other to the other. These special nipples also have another drawback: in the case of folding and folding, the two legs of the nipple must move in immediately different directions, resulting in additional stresses inside the nipple: on the one hand, such a chair is very uncomfortable to bend; not long lived.
U.S. Pat. US4595232, published 1986. June 17 The compact chair described in this patent has a seat, legs and backrest that extends easily into specially prepared cavities near the seat. The front legs are connected to their respective rear legs to form an "X". The chair folds through the middle of the X-shape and the backrest easily separates from the seat by pulling it out of the above cavity. The design of the leg joints of this chair is quite simple and durable, but the weak point is the attachment of the backrest; As a result, such a chair can be tilted very easily and the sharp ends of the backrest, which can be easily removed, can cause accidental injury.
U.S. Pat. US4184711, published 1980 January 22 The folding chair described in this patent consists of a backrest, a material seat and three legs connected to one another at a distance from the seat approximately in the middle of the seat. When the chair is folded, the legs are positioned at an angle. The big plus of this chair is that when folded it takes up very little space, in practice it's just three bars with some extension in the middle. However, the chair cannot hold heavy weight and the protrusion of the legs is not continuous. When the chair is folded, the seat plane is usually not horizontal. Another disadvantage of such a construction is that the joining of the bars to the material covers a very small area, which makes such a chair long-lasting.
Closest to the state of the art is American patent no. US4826241, published 1989 May 2 This patent describes a folding chair based on left and right A-shaped frames. Each A-shaped frame consists of two legs which are connected to their upper ends through an axis. The crossed straps are connected through the axle to the lower leg ends of the A-shaped legs and secured to the upper part of the legs by means of special lugs. The seat and backrest are connected to one another via the axle. The chair is folded very easily by lifting it behind a special joint, the ends of which are attached to the upper parts of the legs. However, the chair is not easily folded out because it has a wide variety of joints and additional joints that need to be properly positioned when folding the chair. In this construction, the joints at the bottom, which connect the A-frame frame to the X-shaped auxiliary rods, are extremely unstable. Due to the A-shaped design, the contact area of the seat with the feet is very small, which can easily tear the seat.
THE SUBSTANCE OF THE INVENTION
The object of the present invention is a special design folding compact chair which easily maintains a high weight without any deformation (120kg or more), and when folded takes up very little space (1.5-2.0 bottles of mineral water), low weight (only 1.0-1.5 kg), folds up to cover a fairly large area, is comfortable to sit on, easily and conveniently folds in and out. This is achieved by the use of a special chair design, which is based on telescopic tubing, which is easily slid into one another, and a connecting sleeve to which the upper and lower legs of the chair are attached respectively.
An essential feature of the present invention is that such an extremely compact folding chair is very stable when folded, retains a relatively high weight and does not deform.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING FIGURES
FIG. 1 shows the construction of this folding chair (side view, more from the top).
FIG. Figure 2 shows the construction of this folding chair (side view, more from below).
PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Folding, foldable and similar compact chairs based on the seat, legs, and sometimes backrest are known to be common in the world.
FIG. 1 shows a compact chair (1) having a seat (2), legs (3, 4), and fasteners.
The seat (2) of this compact chair (1) consists of a square resilient rigid material (5), the ends of which are secured to the chair frame fastening elements (6). Also, the seat material (5) is additionally reinforced with diagonals and with straps (7) sewn at the edges. Ideally, the seat material (5) is made of cordura material and the straps are made of capron.
The upper legs (3) of the chair, which are based on telescopic tubes, are attached to the bottom of the chair frame fastening elements (6). They consist of telescopic tubes, which slide easily into each other, thus reducing the construction dimensions when folded. Telescopic tubes can be of any shape: round, square, trapezoidal, triangular and other shapes. The upper legs (3) of the chair, made of Π-shaped profile, further (like the sides of the pyramid) enter into a connecting unit, which function is performed by a special sleeve (8).
The corresponding parts of the upper legs (3), which are based on telescopic tubes, can slide out of one another and slide into each other. This reduces the length of the upper legs (3) of the chair when folded. When the telescopic tubes are fully extended by the use of cylindrical outward / outward catches, they lock together to form a rigid composition where the square seat material (5) also acts as a stretcher.
Attached to the sides of said bushing (8) are tabs (9), two tabs per leg. These eyelets (9) have drilled holes and axles (10) mounted thereon, on which the lower parts of the upper legs (3) are fixed. Such an attachment of the upper legs (3) to said jvore (8) allows them to bend in parallel to one another.
Also, the lower chair legs (4) are attached to said ears (9) from below, which are similarly extended downwardly at a certain angle to the sides of the pyramid. Attached to the lower parts of the lower legs (4) are metal tensioners (11) which connect them and form a cross-shaped joint (12). This cross-shaped joint (12) has a hole in the center into which a rod (13) is inserted at the lower end. The upper end of said rod (13) is secured to said sleeve (8). Due to this connection of the rod (13), the lower legs (4) fold and fold out simultaneously as umbrella spokes.
The upper legs (3), the lower legs (4), the sleeve (8) and the rod (13) form the frame of the chair (1). This frame is made of profiled duralumin, hard metal or plastic, or other material of similar strength. It can also be made of composite materials (composites).
In order to make the chair (1) even more robust and stable, four side tensioners are attached to the respective chair frame fastening elements (6), which are attached at the other corresponding ends to the lower parts of the lower legs (4). The side tensioners (14) are made of an elastic solid material, such as a capron strap, a cord, and the like. The side stretchers (14) can also be made of solid material, since it is technically easy to ensure that they will bend during the folding of the chair. Also, these side tensioners (14) can be self-assembling, which facilitates folding and unfolding the chair.
This compact chair differs from other chairs of this type in that it takes up very little space when folded. Therefore, it can be placed in any bag, backpack or even attached to a belt.
On the other hand, when folded, it has normal dimensions for the chair, both in width and height. Ideally, the chair area is approximately 460x460 mm2, and the height from the floor to the chair frame fasteners (6) is approximately 460mm. The height of the chair from floor to center of the chair seat (2) is slightly lower and is approximately 340mm at best.
Although this chair (1) weighs only 1.5kg, its design allows it to easily maintain 120kg. The upper (3) and lower (4) legs of the chair provide the required stability. With lighter materials, the weight of the chair can be further reduced by at least 30%.
FIG. 2 shows the same design of the folding chair, but more from the bottom for better visibility of its harder-to-see knots
