Method and system of data storage
Abstract
The present invention relates to means and processes aimed at entering data (audio, video and other information) into an electromagnetic database and storing information in the form of electromagnetic waves. The proposed system of storing data in the form of electromagnetic waves comprises an accumulating component designed to receive, hold and manage information, a communications link designed to send data to a transmitter, a transmitter and an antenna with its radiation directed above the horizon. The difference of the proposed alternative system of electromagnetic data storage from the original one consists in using a storage medium and a device to reproduce information from the medium.

The present invention relates to a data processing (recording, storage, editing) and radio broadcasting system comprising technical means and operations for storing data in the form of electromagnetic waves.
Information is currently stored on media such as computer hard disks, magnetic tapes, films, paper, and more. Various electronic methods and systems for recording, storing, processing and reproducing information are known in the art - for example, a data processing apparatus, method and computer medium are described in US Patent 6,795,092 JV.
EP 1 465 096 A1 discloses a composite computer hardware module for managing data using software for business purposes. EP 0 933 892 describes a method and system for storing audio and video information in the form of a sequentially compressed data file. The method and system for receiving, storing and transmitting audio-visual information are described in EP 1 367 828 A1; in this system, information is stored in compressed blocks of formatted digital data on a computer hard drive.
The aforementioned and other known methods and systems of data storage do not fulfill the purpose of this technical solution - to protect data (audio-visual information, etc.) in the form of electromagnetic waves. Radio broadcasting of data over the air is a prerequisite for preserving information longer than the obsolescence of material whose life and use are limited by wear and tear.
An electromagnetic database is the presence in space of electromagnetic waves of data specially selected, edited and transmitted over the air for long-term storage of information.
Existing data in the form of radio waves is constantly moving away from the sender, making it impossible to edit, reproduce or delete an electromagnetic database, but it can be supplemented.
The electromagnetic data storage method may be used to: I. Store personal audio-visual and other information for cognitive and scientific purposes; II. Encyclopedic conservation of information about human history and Earth's nature in space and time.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to a method of storing data and a system for accomplishing the above purposes. The proposed electromagnetic storage system for data consists of a data acquisition component for receiving, storing, organizing and transmitting data: a communication line for transmitting data to a transmitter and a transmitter connected by waveguide or cable to an antenna whose radiation is directed above the horizon. The second version of the electromagnetic information storage system differs from the first in that, in this case, the data is transmitted to the transmitter not through a communication line, but recorded on a medium via a reproduction device connected to the transmitter.
The method of electromagnetic storage of data consists of the following technological steps: the data acquisition component receives and prepares data - audio, video or other information - for radio broadcasting; transmits data to the broadcast component. The data broadcast component emits data in the form of radio (electromagnetic) waves to space in one or more frequencies, one or more directions.
The invention is illustrated in the drawings, in which: FIG. Figure 1 is a block diagram of an electromagnetic data storage system (first embodiment); FIG. 2 is a block diagram of a second version of a data electromagnetic storage system.
Examples of implementation of the invention. The invention can be used in a new way of doing business to protect customers' personal audiovisual and other information in the form of electromagnetic waves. The service is intended for the international market segment purchasing products and services related to astronomy, radio astronomy, space exploration, radio engineering, computers. Customers are offered a radio broadcast of the data of their choice (video, audio, photos, texts, etc.), the purpose of which is to preserve information in the form of electromagnetic waves for longer periods than material media.
Data blocks created by audio and video recorders 1, personal computers 2 are sent from the customer's personal computers 2 via the Internet 3 (or recorded on media) to the enterprise-service providers. The data is stored on a hard drive or other storage medium 4 of the service provider's computer, processed and transmitted via a communication line 5 (or stored on a storage medium 8 via an information retrieval device 9) to a transmitter 6 connected to the antenna 7.
Radio transmission of data intended to be stored in the form of electromagnetic waves may be carried out by satellite earth stations, radio-relay lines, television, radio telescopes and other transmitters capable of transmitting audiovisual and other information, coupled to fixed or rotary high gain directional antennas of the horizon.
For broadcasting data electromagnetic storage there is an optimum bandwidth of 1-10 GHz. These frequencies are not reflected by the Earth's ionosphere and are least absorbed by interstellar matter. Broadcasting shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of radio spectrum law, without interfering with existing broadcasting, communication and radio astronomical receivers.
The Electromagnetic Database offers customers the opportunity to capture personal information - photographs, videos, drawings, texts, music, and so on. The corporate service provider's website explains how to subscribe to data broadcasts and sends certificates, radio antenna pictures, to their authors.
Transmission of data intended for storage in the form of electromagnetic waves in Lithuania is planned to be carried out via the radio transmission line transmitter "Kurs" (frequency 3618.5 MHz; power 0.5 W) and 100 m high horn-parabolic antenna mounted at Druskininkai station 39.5 dB; power output 4.7 kW; azimuth 1 ° long; angle above the horizon 5.4 °; beam width 2.5 °).
