1 is a diagram illustrating an entire system including a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, an entire system including a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1 .
As shown in FIG. 1 , the display apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a tuner 110 , a demodulator 120 , a network interface 130 , an external device interface 140 , and a memory 150 . , a controller 160 , a user interface 170 , a display module 180 , and a speaker 190 . However, the modules shown in FIG. 1 are only one embodiment, and it is possible to add or delete some modules according to the needs of those skilled in the art. Therefore, in principle, the scope of the present invention should be defined by the claims.
The tuner 110 selects, for example, an RF broadcast signal corresponding to a channel selected by a user or all channels stored in advance from among radio frequency (RF) broadcast signals received through an antenna. The demodulator 120 receives the digital IF signal DIF converted by the tuner 110 and performs a demodulation operation.
The demodulator 120 outputs a TS (Transport Stream) signal after performing channel decoding. In this case, the TS signal may be a signal in which an image signal, an audio signal, or a data signal is multiplexed. For example, the stream signal may be an MPEG-2 Transport Stream (TS) in which an MPEG-2 standard video signal, a Dolby AC-3 standard audio signal, etc. are multiplexed.
The TS signal output from the demodulator 120 is input to the controller 160 . The controller 160 outputs video data to the display module 180 and audio data to the speaker 190 after performing demultiplexing, image/audio signal processing, and the like.
The external device interface 140 is connected to an external device such as a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) player, a BD (Blu-ray Disc) player, a game device, a camera, a camcorder, and a computer (laptop) by wire/wireless connection, for example. . Furthermore, an application or an application list in an adjacent external device is received and transferred to the controller 160 or the memory 150 .
The network interface 130 may include, for example, an Ethernet terminal for connection with a wired network, and for connection with a wireless network, for example, a wireless LAN (WLAN) (Wi- Fi), Wireless broadband (Wibro), World Interoperability for Microwave Access (Wimax), High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) communication standards, etc. may be used. In addition, the network interface 130 selects and receives a desired application from among applications open to the public through a network.
The memory 150 may store a program for processing and controlling each signal in the controller 160 , and stores a signal-processed image, audio, or data signal. Furthermore, the memory 150 stores channel information or an application received from the tuner 110 , the network interface 130 , and the external device interface 140 .
The user interface 170 may receive a control signal from a remote controller 195 located outside or may be designed as a local key button attached to the display apparatus 100 . The remote controller 195 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 8 and 9 .
The controller 160 demultiplexes data received through the tuner 110 , the demodulator 120 , the network interface 130 , and the external device interface 140 , or processes the demultiplexed signals. , to generate and output a signal for video or audio output. The controller 160 will be described in more detail with reference to FIG. 2 .
The display module 180 generates a driving signal by converting the image signal, the data signal, the OSD signal, etc. processed by the controller 160 into R, G, and B signals, respectively. The display module 180 may be implemented as, for example, a PDP, LCD, OLED, flexible display, or 3D display.
The speaker 190 corresponds to a module that receives and outputs an audio signal processed by the controller 160, for example, a stereo signal, a 3.1 channel signal, or a 5.1 channel signal.
FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating the controller shown in FIG. 1 in more detail. Hereinafter, a controller in a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to FIG. 2 .
