Pharmaceutical preparation of solid cytochrome c for oral administration

PURPOSE:The titled pharmaceutical preparation useful as a remedy for breast pang, etc. having effects by oral administration, and extremely improved stability during and after pharmaceutical preparation, obtained by coating dissolved or dispersed cytochrome C in liquid state with a nontoxic high polymer coating agent. CONSTITUTION:Dissolved or dispersed cytochrome C in a liquid state is covered with a high polymer coating agent. Preferably the covered cytochrome is further coated with a coating agent soluble in the intestine. A vegetable oil, e.g., soybean oil, sesame oil, purified vegetable oil, glyceride, glycol, etc., is used as the solvent or the dispersing medium for cytochrome C. For example, hydroxypropyl starch, gum arabic, polyvinyl alcohol, casein, etc. may be used as the high polymer coating agent. An acid group-containing cellulose derivative is preferable as the coating agent soluble in the intestine, and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose phthalate, etc. may be cited.
