Coating composition for sheathing

PURPOSE:A coating composition for sheathing to be applied to the chalking surface of a coating compound for sheathing for building materials, etc., providing good appearance after the formation of a film, having improved adhesiveness and water resistance, comprising a hydrosol resin, colorant, fine aggregate, filler, and water. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of (A) 100pts.wt. (solid content) hydrosol resin having an average particle diameter not more than 0.05mu, (B) 30- 150pts.wt. colorant, e.g., titanium oxide, etc., (C) 40-750pts.wt. fine aggregate (e.g., silica sand, river sand, etc. having particle diameters from 0.5 not more than 1mm., (D) 40-750pts.wt. filler, e.g., calcium carbonate, etc. and (E) 100-600 pts.wt. An acrylate hydrosol resin or styrene hydrosol resin is preferable as the ingredient A, and its acid value is preferably 5-100.
