Abstract
A method, system and apparatus are provided for modulation and coding mode used by multicast service macro diversity. A message containing relevant information of modulation and coding mode(s) used by an MBS zone is sent in the MBS zone. The MS receives the message, analyzes other messages in the MBS zone according to the relevant information of the modulation and coding mode(s) contained in this message, and receives MBS service data according to the analyzed result upon other messages in the MBS zone. The invention resolves the problem that an entity is required to uniformly manage the coding and modulation mode definition of each cell in the prior art, as well as the problem that the DCD count in the DL-MAP message has to be continuously tracked in the prior art.

The present invention relates to multicast service macrodiversity technology, and more particularly to methods, systems, and devices that provide modulation coding schemes used for multicast service macrodiversity.
With the rapid development of Internet technology, multimedia services are emerging in large numbers. Among them, some application services, such as video-on-demand, video broadcasting, video conferencing, online education, and interactive games, require that multiple users can receive the same data at the same time, that is, the data. Multicast to it.
Multicast service is a technology that transfers data from one data source to multiple destinations, including multicast and broadcast. For broadcast services, Cell Broadcast (CBS: Cell Broadcast) in traditional mobile networks Service) allows only low bitrate data to be sent to all users through the cell shared broadcast channel, such services belong to message type services. For multicast services, IP multicast technology for existing IP networks already exists, but existing IP because mobile networks have specific network structures, functional entities, and wireless interfaces that differ from existing IP networks. Multicast technology applies only to wired IP networks, not mobile networks. In addition, compared to general services, mobile multimedia services have features such as a large amount of data, long duration, and sensitivity to delays, so they are transfer technologies for existing broadcast services and multicast services. None of these apply to the transfer of mobile multimedia service data.
WCDMA / GSM International Standardization Organization-3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) provides Multimedia Broadcast / Multicast Service (MBMS) for effective use of mobile network resources It has been submitted. On the other hand, the latest protocol of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11e IEEE802.16e / D5 is also a multicast broadcast service (MBS: Multicast and Broadcast). Service) has been introduced. MBMS and MBS services provide a norm for sending data from one data source to multiple users on the mobile network, and point-to-multi to send data from one data source to multiple users on the mobile network. It provides point-to-multipoint services, realizes sharing of network resources, and improves the utilization rate of network resources, especially air interface resources. Newly submitted MBMS and MBS services will not only enable plaintext and low-rate message type multicast and broadcast, but will also enable high-speed multimedia service multicast and broadcast in the future. Adapted to trends in mobile data development.
The network structure of the MBS service submitted to the IEEE 802.16 protocol is shown in Figure 1. As shown in Figure 1, a mobile network functional entity, the Broadcast Multicast Service Server (MBS server), has been added to support the MBS service. Here, one function is the entrance of the content provider, and the other function is to plan the transmission of the multicast data of the base station (BS) belonging to itself and to distribute the multicast data to the BS belonging to itself. Is. It is also necessary to strengthen functional entities such as traditional mobile stations (MSS) and BS, that is, to add functions related to MBS services to these functional entities.
The operation of the MBS service mainly includes the acquisition of MBS service list information, the acquisition of authentication and encryption key for the MBS service, and the normal reception of the MBS service. Specifically, before successfully receiving the MBS service, the MSS first obtains information such as the MBS content list from the MBS server, and then requests the BS to authenticate the received MBS service content. After successful authentication, BS sends MSS information including MBS downlink service parameters, etc., after which MSS requests BS to return the MBS key. The MSS that has acquired the downlink service parameter and the MBS key uses the acquired information to receive the related media access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) and enters the normal MBS service reception state.
Normal reception of MBS service is mainly the process of receiving MBS service content by using the received MBS downlink service parameter. In the existing draft standard, MBS downlink service parameters mainly include MBS ZONE identifier and Multicast CID.
In order to use macrodiversity to enhance reception performance, MBS mapping (MBS-MAP) messages were introduced in the latest IEEE802.16 protocol IEEE802.16e / D5, and the messages were placed in the MBS zone (MBS ZONE). Is transferred. The information elements contained in it are shown in Table 1.
<tables num="1A"><img id="000002" he="229" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables><tables num="1B"><img id="000003" he="87" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables>
The MBS-MAP message notifies the physical channel resources distributed to the specific Multicast CID in the specified MBS ZONE. The MBS-MAP message also provides the modulation encoding (DIUC), power offset (Boosting), and position of the next MBS service frame used for the specified physical channel resource (Burst). Therefore, as long as the MBS-MAP message is detected accurately, the MSS will use the physical channel resource corresponding to the multicast connection to be received, and the modulation coding method and power offset used for the physical channel resource based on the message. (Boosting) etc. can be acquired, and by determining that the position of the MBS frame of the multicast connection is included in the next frame, the data reception of the multicast connection is performed normally.
In MBS-MAP messages, the DIUC information element is a 4-bit identifier used to identify the modulation coding method currently used for Burst. Each of the 4-bit identifiers represents a kind of modulation coding method, so it is also called a DIUC index. That is, it is an index of the modulation coding method. The specific definition of the DIUC value is located in the Downlink Channel Description (DCD) message broadcast to the current cell. The current cell broadcasts the DCD message periodically, in the DCD message, the configuration change count field is used to identify the change in the DCD message, and in other related messages, the DCD count (DCD). Use count) to track changes in DCD messages. For example, in a downlink channel mapping (DL-MAP) message, DCD count is used to track changes in the DCD message.
In the cellular wireless communication system, the communication quality deteriorates because the distance from the base station is long for the users around the cell. Macrodiversity is introduced in the cellular broadcast system to overcome the deterioration of reception quality caused by such a long distance from the base station. Specifically, the receiver can receive signals from its surrounding base stations and analyze the reception process from these received signals, resulting in poor reception quality caused by receiving signals from a single base station. Overcome.
In the prior art, what is used for MBS services is the definition of the current cell for DIUC. To achieve macrodiversity, all cells located in the MBS ZONE must use the same DIUC definition, i.e. fire the same DCD message. Therefore, an entity is required for unified management of DIUC definitions in each cell, that is, DCD message definitions.
Also, when receiving MBS services, the receiving equipment can change the DCD count by constantly tracking DL-MAP messages, even though it is in SLEEP or IDLE state. By tracking, determine if a new DCD message has been received. Obviously, this is a waste of power.

<p num="0016"> The present invention has been made in view of the above and is used for multicast service macrodiversity to provide MBS services with the modulation coding scheme used for macrodiversity at a lower system cost. <figref num="1">It is a network configuration diagram of the MBS service submitted by the conventional IEEE802.16 protocol.</figref>
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to specific embodiments. In Embodiment 1 of the present invention, one MBS-DCD message, that is, a DIUC value is added to the MBS ZONE, and it is used to define the modulation coding method currently used for the MBS ZONE. The structure of the defined MBS-DCD messages is shown in Table 2.
<tables num="2"><img id="000004" he="105" wi="158" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables>
Regarding the definition of Downlink_Burst_Profile, refer to 11.4.2 of IEEE802.16-2004, and in the MBS-DCD message, Downlink_Burst_Profile defines the specific meaning of each 4-bit DIUC index.
In addition, as with all messages set in MBS ZONE, it is necessary to specify the firing position of MBS-DCD messages in MBS-MAP messages.
With the above settings, the MSS that receives the MBS service will track the MBS-MAP message until it correctly receives the corresponding MBS-DCD message after locating the MBS-MAP message, and then the MBS. -Use the related description for DIUC in the DCD message to analyze other messages in MBS ZONE and receive the downlink MBS service based on the analysis result.
In the present embodiment, the MBS-DCD message including the definition and index of the modulation and coding method used for the MBS ZONE is added to the MBS ZONE, and the MSS is based on the definition and the index contained in the message. , Downlink MBS service is received, while the MBS-MAP message is specified for the launch of the added MBS-DCD message, and the MBS-MAP message is sent by the MBS Server. Therefore, by unifying the added MBS-DCD messages in MBS ZONE by MBS Server, it is possible to introduce a new entity that unifies the DCD messages of all cells located in the same MBS ZONE as in the conventional technology. Not necessary.
In Embodiment 2 of the present invention, the conventional MBS-MAP message is enhanced so that changes in the DCD message can be tracked. Therefore, it is necessary to add the DCD count information element to the MBS-MAP message, and the update of the DCD message is recorded using the information element. The information elements contained in the enhanced MBS-MAP message are shown in Table 3.
<tables num="3A"><img id="000005" he="219" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables><tables num="3B"><img id="000006" he="130" wi="158" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables>
In this way, when the MSS receives the MBS-MAP message, the DCD count value attached to the MBS-MAP message matches the corresponding Configuration Change Count value in the DCD message currently held by the MSS itself. Detects whether or not to match, and if it matches, it receives normally, otherwise, until the value of Configuration Change Count contained in the new DCD message received matches the value of DCD count in the MBS-MAP message. , Track DCD messages. The MSS then uses the description of DIUC in the new DCD message to parse other messages in the MBS ZONE and, based on the analysis results, receives the downlink MBS service.
In this embodiment, the MBS-MAP message is enhanced, that is, an information element representing the update of the DCD message is added, and the MSS makes the information element corresponding to the information element in the DCD message currently held by itself. By determining whether to receive a new DCD message based on the match, MSS does not have to keep track of the DL-MAP message, and the information element in the MBS-MAP message is currently held in itself. Tracking is only required if it detects that it does not match the appropriate information element in the message, eliminating the need for receivers in IDLE or SLEEP mode to constantly monitor DL-MAP messages in the current service cell. Achieves reduced power consumption of MSS.
In Embodiment 3 of the present invention, first, an MBS-DCD message, that is, a DIUC value is added to the MBS ZONE, and it is used to define the modulation coding method currently used for the MBS ZONE. MBS-DCD messages are shown in Table 4.
<tables num="4"><img id="000007" he="119" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables>
For the definition of Downlink_Burst_Profile, refer to 11.4.2 of IEEE802.16-2004. In addition, in the MBS-MAP message, it is necessary to specify the firing position of the MBS-DCD message.
At the same time, the MBS-MAP message needs to be strengthened so that it can track changes in the MBS-DCD message. Therefore, it is necessary to add the MBS-DCD count information element to the MBS-MAP message, and the information element is used to indicate the update of the MBS-DCD message. The enhanced MBS-MAP messages are shown in Table 5.
<tables num="5A"><img id="000008" he="217" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables><tables num="5B"><img id="000009" he="134" wi="159" file="JP5215432B2_D0001.tif" img-format="tif" img-content="drawing" /></tables>
With the above settings, when MSS receives an MBS-MAP message, the value of MBS-DCD count attached to the MBS-MAP message is the value of Configuration Change Count in the MBS-DCD message currently held by itself. If it matches, the reception is successful, and if not, the value of Configuration Change Count included in the new MBS-DCD message received and the MBS-DCD count in the MBS-MAP message. Track MBS-DCD messages all the time until the values match, then use the DIUC description in that MBS-DCD message to parse other messages in MBS ZONE and based on the results of that analysis. , Receive downlink MBS service.
In this embodiment, in MBS ZONE, a new entity that sets MBS-DCD messages and enhances MBS-MAP messages to introduce a unified plan for DCD messages in all cells located in the same MBS ZONE. No need, MBS by MBS Server In addition to realizing the unified plan for MBS-DCD messages in ZONE, MSS now holds the information element added to the MBS-MAP message that represents the update of the MBS-DCD message. Determining whether to receive a new MBS-DCD message by determining if it matches the appropriate information element in the MBS-DCD message, MSS does not have to keep track of the DL-MAP message all the time, MBS- Receiving equipment in IDLE or SLEEP mode is currently in IDLE or SLEEP mode because tracking is only required if it is detected that the information element in the MAP message does not match the corresponding information element in the DCD message currently held by itself. Achieves reduced power consumption of MSS without the need to constantly monitor DL-MAP messages in service cells. Therefore, this embodiment is a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The above description is a preferred embodiment of the present invention and does not limit the scope of protection of the present invention.
