The present invention relates to a denture preparation applied to the oral cavity, and more specifically, an oral denture wetting agent for dentures to be attached to a denture to moisturize the oral cavity and stabilize the denture for a long period of time. Is to provide.
The oral cavity is kept moist by saliva, but if saliva decreases for some reason, the moistness disappears and the oral cavity becomes dry. If the dry state continues for a long period of time, various symptoms and functional disorders called xerostomia occur. Causes of xerostomia include various diseases that cause organic changes in salivary rays, salivary gland diseases associated with systemic diseases, destruction of salivary gland cells by radiation therapy, HIV infection, and secretory function due to fatigue. It is known that this symptom is also caused by a decrease, the effect of taking various drugs, and mental fatigue and upset due to complicated social living conditions. In the elderly, xerostomia is a routine sign, which is thought to be a regressive change in the salivary line due to swelling.
Insufficient saliva secretion also affects dentures, causing problems such as poor adsorption of dentures. Normally, a thin film of saliva exists between the denture and the oral mucosa, and the denture is maintained by maintaining a negative pressure state, and also acts as a lubricating oil between the denture and the oral mucosa. Even with a well-fitting denture, if the mucous membrane is dry, the denture will not stick well, and it may rub against the oral mucosa, causing pain and pressure ulcers.
When xerostomia occurs, it not only causes a feeling of dry mouth, but also a burning sensation in the mouth, pain, tongue pain, dysgeusia, inflammation of the oral mucosa, ulceration, cracks in the tongue and corners of the mouth, and other mastication, swallowing, and conversation. It causes a great deal of serious pain in daily life such as difficulty, and there is a strong demand for appropriate measures to deal with these.
Currently, there are artificial saliva and mouthwash as treatment methods and symptom relief methods for these symptoms, but these are only temporary moisturizing of the oral cavity. In addition, barotin, cepharanthin, and various Chinese herbal medicines have been tried, but the treatment methods have not yet been established, such as unfavorable side effects and insufficient effects.
On the other hand, various so-called denture stabilizers for fixing and stabilizing dentures are commercially available, and such commercially available denture stabilizers are mainly hydrophobic gum-like synthetic heights such as vinyl acetate resin. Molecular material is used. Since these were intended to stabilize the denture in the oral cavity for a long period of time, they were insoluble in water and could not be expected to be moist in the oral cavity, and there were concerns about safety such as elution of the plasticizer. In addition, a highly safe, naturally-derived water-soluble substance was also investigated, but it is uncomfortable to use because it is a hydrophilic polymer substance that absorbs minute moisture slowly and becomes non-uniform, and is used for cleaning after use due to solidification. Due to its drawbacks such as time-consuming work, it is not widely used nowadays.
<p> An object of the present invention is to eliminate these conventional drawbacks and maintain the moistness of the oral cavity and the stability of the denture for a long period of time, thereby alleviating the symptoms of xerostomia, and is safe and usable. The purpose is to provide a good oral denture moisturizer.</p>
<p> As a result of intensive research to achieve the above object, the present inventors have put a specific water-delayed soluble polymer substance into a denture and attached it to a denture as a tooth backing agent to wet the oral cavity for a long period of time. It was found that it exerts an excellent effect on the stabilization of the denture, and the present invention has been completed. That is, the present invention relates to a cellulosic polymer substance such as methyl cellulosic, carboxymethyl cellulosic, sodium carboxymethyl cellulosic, hydroxyethyl cellulosic, glycerin, propylene glycol, sorbitol and the like. It relates to an oral moisturizer for dentures, which comprises a polyhydric alcohol and / or artificial saliva, and is composed of a water-delayed soluble polymer substance that swells or gels with water and exhibits stickiness.</p><p> Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. The pharmaceutically approved water-soluble polymer substance used in carrying out the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it swells or gels with water and exhibits adhesiveness. For example, natural polymers such as sodium alginate, arabic gum, canten, tragant gum, caragi-nan, xanthan gum, gelatin, purulan, dextran, dextrin, methyl cellulos, carboxymethyl cellulos, sodium carboxymethyl cellulos, hydroxyethyl Examples of water-soluble polymer substances such as semi-synthetic polymers such as cellulosic polymers and synthetic polymers such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, carboxyvinyl polymer, polyvinyl alcohol, and macrogol have been obtained. Cellulose-based water-soluble polymers are preferable from the viewpoints of swelling of substances, gelation performance, thixotropic properties, delayed solubility in water, adhesion to oral mucosa, and the like. Among them, sodium carboxymethyl cellulosic sodium having an etherification degree of 0.7 to 1.0 is most preferable in order to satisfy the above performance.</p><p> Examples of the pharmaceutically approved polyvalent alcohol in the present invention include glycerin, propylene glycol, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol and the like, but they are flexible to water-soluble polymer substances. Glycerin, propylene glycol, and sorbitol are preferable from the viewpoint of sexual imparting ability and oral moisturizing performance, and glycerin is particularly preferable in terms of flavor and safety.</p><p> These water-soluble polymer substances and polyvalent alcohol are used as essential components to form a water-delayed soluble polymer substance that swells or gels with water and exhibits adhesiveness. Water-soluble polymer substance is 5 to 20% by weight, polyvalent alcohol is 1 to 60% by weight, and the ratio of the substance: polyvalent alcohol is 1: 0.2 to 3 (weight ratio), which is practical. The water-soluble polymer substance is 8 to 15% by weight, the polyvalent alcohol is 4 to 30% by weight, and the ratio of the substance: polyvalent alcohol is 1: 0.5 to 2 (weight ratio). It is preferably in the range. If the blending amount and blending ratio of each component is out of the above range, it is difficult to obtain appropriate flexibility and delayed solubility.</p><p> Further, water is usually used as the solvent constituting the water-delayed soluble polymer substance in the present invention, but potassium chloride is obtained in that the wet state in the oral cavity is maintained and the function is improved. It is preferable to use a preparation containing sodium chloride or the like as a main component, so-called artificial saliva, as a solvent.</p><p> The oral moisturizer for dentures obtained by the present invention contains the above-mentioned constituent components as essential components, as well as preservatives, colorants, fragrances, and saliva-enhancing agents used within a pharmaceutically acceptable range. It is possible to contain various chemicals of the above, and it is possible to provide them in various forms such as a sheet, a tube, and a tablet.</p>
<p> The oral moisturizer for dentures in the present invention is not a transient method such as a conventional artificial saliva or a mouthwash as a treatment method and a symptom relief method for xerostomia, and is particularly suitable for patients with xerostomia who wear dentures. On the other hand, by adding an oral moisturizer containing a specific component and a water-delayed soluble polymer substance as the main component to the denture as a tooth lining agent, the denture can be moisturized for a long time. By maintaining stability, the symptoms can be alleviated.</p>
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples, but the present invention is not limited to these Examples.
[Examples 1 and 2, Comparative Examples 1 and 3]
Each component shown in Table 1 was heated, stirred and mixed to dissolve transparently, and then cooled to prepare an oral wetting agent. The blending amount was 100% by weight, and the total composition was 100% by weight. As the artificial saliva in the compounding ingredients, the one adjusted with the following composition was used. Artificial saliva composition Sodium chloride 84.4mg Potassium chloride 120.0mg Calcium chloride 14.6mg Magnesium chloride 5.2mg Dipotassium phosphate 34.2mg Remaining amount of purified water (total amount of 100g)
The oral moisturizers obtained in Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3 were evaluated using 10 panelas. That is, the prepared oral moisturizer was applied to the back of the denture, attached to the oral cavity, and its usability was evaluated based on the following evaluation items and evaluation criteria.
[Flexibility of oral moisturizer]
: Has moderate flexibility ×: Too hard (brittle) or too soft [Applicability to dentures]
: Easy to apply ×: Difficult to apply [Denture wearability]
: Easy to put on ×: Difficult to put on [Denture stabilization and sustainability]
: Stabilization of the denture lasts for 10 hours or more : Stabilization of the denture lasts for several hours ×: Stabilization of the denture is within 1 hour [Persistence of moist feeling in the oral cavity]
: The moist feeling in the oral cavity lasts for 10 hours or more : The moist feeling in the oral cavity lasts for several hours ×: The moist feeling in the oral cavity is within 1 hour The above results are shown in Table 1. The evaluation results were expressed as the average of 10 panelists.
